Great spot. Host was fantastic with clear directions including the gate code leading up to the day.
Was fantastic to have the puppy camping with us. Well presented campsites, spread out from one another (only a couple of other campers on the property).

Dalmoak Bush Retreat
This was not our first visit and the campsite is a beautiful, peaceful spot. Handy to town and tourist spots, but feels a million miles away. You can do lots or very little, whichever takes your fancy. Our host was very accommodating as always.

We've had the pleasure of camping at Dalmoak twice now, and both experiences have been absolutely fantastic, largely thanks to the wonderful hosts, Robin and John. They are genuinely friendly, welcoming people who ensure every guest feels right at home.
What truly sets Dalmoak apart is the incredible space and privacy offered at each campsite. This time, we stayed at the Pear Tree Camp, which provided plenty of room for both us and our friends to spread out comfortably. You never feel crowded; having that distance from other campers is a huge plus for a relaxing trip. The property is always impeccably maintained—everything is clean and tidy.
It's also a fantastic place for furry friends—our dogs absolutely loved having the space to roam and relax, which made the trip even better for us.
Beyond the peaceful setting, the amenities provided by Robin and John are excellent, particularly the fact they always provide firewood.
Dalmoak also shines as an ideal location for exploration. It's a great spot to set up base camp before venturing out into the region. We found it quick and easy to get to Stanthorpe and spent time exploring the region’s fantastic wineries. Plus, the local brewery isn't far from the camp, making for a perfect day out.
We highly recommend Dalmoak to anyone looking for a spacious, private, and perfectly located getaway in the Stanthorpe area. We can’t wait for our next stay!

What a wonderful stay we have just had. Getting off grid and away from all the hustle and bustle. The campsites are fantastic not on top of each other. Made us feel like we had the entire place to ourselves even though on a long weekend there were other like minded campers .
Dalmoak is close to Stanthorpe yet away enough to see the magnificent stars . Attractions are close by as well. Robin and John are the perfect host and show you a map of things to do as well as supplying firewood for the obligatory marshmallow cooking alongside cooking

Wow what a fantastic stay we have just had. So relaxed at Gum Flats. We had the family join us and the 4 year old grandson had the best time flying his kite, bike riding, kicking the ball around and generally outdoors enjoying the fresh air. John and Robin are the perfect hoss. Helpful at all times . Lovely to meet both Bella and Buzz.
Campfires were awesome at night with the obligatory marshmallow cooking alongside a perfect Sunday roast .
The grounds were spotlessly clean and close to all attractions and Stanthorpe.
We definitely recommend taking the time out and staying at Dalmoak. Enjoy the outdoors the stars and just being off grid.

Well maintained grounds for off grid camping. Robin and John made us feel very welcome, with great communication prior to and during our visit. They dropped around with extra firewood and a map outlining points of interest and walks to enjoy during our stay. We will definitely return again in the future.

Beautiful property with plenty of space and well-separated campsites, offering a peaceful and secluded atmosphere. It was easy to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The hosts were thoughtful and generous—leaving firewood for us and providing a local map to help us explore the area. A lovely stay all around.

Dalmoak was so peaceful. We had the whole place to ourselves. The creek was beautiful and the cows were very inquisitive. Robin brought us firewood which was lovely. Super relaxing

Honestly, such a great place to camp. Highly recommend. The views are incredible, Ruby Creek is very beautiful and the friendliest hosts - Robin and John were always ensuring it was a great stay. Best 5 days and a great way to visit Stanthorpe.

The pear tree farm was in view and it was beautiful. It stood out and was something to wake up to. It’s very spacious ground, very accessible and the owners are lovely. Take a hammock. Thank you for having us.

What a peaceful property of quintessential Aussie country side. Plenty of room. Robin and John are the nicest hosts and very thoughtful. The sunrises are to die for. The sunsets amazing. The star gazing is mind blowing. We had an amazing view from our campsite looking out to rocky outcrop (and a great loo with a view spot). There is a great, easy walk up to a lookout where you can see the mountains to the east. It is close to the national parks without the busy feel that national park camps have. There are some great, dirt country roads drives. It is so close to Stanthorpe but a million miles away at the same time. Day trips to the cheese and chocolate specialty, farmhouse stores and a myriad of vineyards are a couple of things to do in the area. All so very close. We will be back for sure and will pass the word along to our friends and family.

We loved camping at Dalmoak, it was quite, peaceful and plenty of space between other campers. Robin was very lovely and helpful. Great little piece of paradise, we will definitely be going back again soon.

A peaceful and relaxing place to stay. Owners met us at the gate and helped us decide on the spot at the top of the hill. Perfect! Other campers were around, but not close enough that we didn’t vibe. Creek is a short walk away. Sunrise was magic!

Beautiful location in the forest by Stanthorpe. Very quiet and secluded. We had the place to ourselves and had a nice fire. Would definitely stay here when we come out to Stanthorpe again.

Dalmoak Bush Retreat
Loved our few days camping at Fern Tree Campsite! We were the only ones there, so it was awesome going around and checking out the other sites too. Owners were amazing - great directions and checked in on arrival and provided a bit about what to do around the property and in town. Our dog loved roaming the camp. Had some storms but nothing major and got some great photos. Will definitely be back 👍

We camped as a small group and the camping space we had was awesome. A small but fun drive down to the creek was great, the children loved floating on their kayaks or floaties. Plenty of wood for a camp fire and Robin was great at occasionally checking on us but also allowing us our space it was nice.

We had such a great time! Kids had space to run and play. It turned out it was just us and friends we were camping with. Although there's lots of space between the different camp areas. Kids loved kayaking in the creek. Which for our young kids was the perfect shallow creek to learn to kayak for the first time.
We'd come back for sure, in fact the kids didn't want to leave.

Dalmoak was a great place to stay. We only stayed for one night, but it was a nice quiet, beautiful spot to set up camp for a night. We were greeted on arrival by the owners Robin and John. John bought down some fire wood and cut it up for us so we could use the fire pit provided. We were surrounded by a couple of cows and their babies and they were very friendly and curious.

We were greeted on arrival by Robin on horseback which set the tone for our stay. Robin and John were very welcoming, with firewood already gathered/cut near the fire pits, and instructions on how to find a spectacular waterhole hidden on the property. Even the cows wandered up to our camp to check us out under the cover of darkness.
We loved every minute, and the best part was we had the entire place to ourselves for 2 nights.

We had a lovely stay. This is a great location for big and small groups. John keeps the grass mown and the free firewood stocked. Its a fantastic view and very peaceful. John is a born and bred local with intimate knowledge of the area and some great yarns about the settlement of his family property.
