All vehicles entering the park must observe 10 Km per hour speed limit. Fires must be extinguished prior to departure. Park users must clean up their area when leaving, by taking all rubbish, including food scraps and disposable nappies with them, so the next users can enjoy the Park as well. Do not burn your rubbish. It must be taken with you! The disposal of nappies in the grass around the waterline, and in fire pits, is a serious risk to human health, the health of the creek, surrounding stock and the ecosystem! Please be respectful of other camper’s space & privacy! Do not set up on top of other campers. Generator use is restricted to 4 hours per day between the hours of 2pm to 6pm. Sightseeing inside the property we have Girard Falls, a 50m deep waterfall, nature at it's best. The only entry into the property is by Emu Creek Rd a gravel road. Emu Creek Retreat is located in the far north-east of New South Wales. We are approximately 200 km from Brisbane, Toowoomba and Gold Coast, 150km from Byron Bay. Tabulam is the nearest town 12km away. Fuel and groceries are available at Tabulam along with a post office, pub and police station. Casino is 68km away and Tenterfield 78km. Once a working cattle property, in the 90's was converted into a camping and 4WD park. Since 2017 has been a family own and operated property, pet friendly, we are using the existing large camping grounds to convert it into a camping paradise. From the moment I arrived, the hosts were incredibly welcoming, and the location, cleanliness, and presentation of the facilities were nothing short of outstanding—truly to the highest standard. The site sizes are generous, allowing plenty of space and privacy between campers, which adds to the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. I stayed for three days but came away feeling like I’d been there for a full week—it was that relaxing and rejuvenating. The location is beautifully secluded, offering total privacy and tranquillity. Lovely experience at Bookie’s Bank. Nice place to tent camping with only a few campers around unlike some overcrowded places. Kids enjoyed large open areas and the creek. Also managed to spot a platypus later in the evening. Hoping to camp here again. Kids loved the farm tour too!

Nice spot along a running creek swimming area was great for us and our dogs. Quiet and spacious. Only thing I would say is our site didn’t have any grass cover and was all mud compared to other sites. Other than that it was a good spot.
