Welcome to the 'Three Mile Creek' a cattle and donkey farm.
Our property is located in the beautiful Glastonbury area, which is between Gympie and Widgee. Only 9kms to local Woolworths, Fuel Station, Chemist, Pub and Bottleo.
The 'Three Mile Creek' winds its way through the property, providing beautiful shady camping areas and nice water holes to cool down on a hot day.
Camping areas are secluded from the main road. Sites are along the creek, out in the open paddocks, or amongst the tall stands of bamboo. All with easy access for 4WD/Campers/Caravans.
We have three large dams for swimming and kayaking (kayaks provided onsite).
All sites have fire pits with no shortage of firewood, fires must be contained and supervised at all times. Some sites have picnic tables.
Guests are required to be fully self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and camp rubbish with them on departure.
Perfect place to just relax or use as a base to do day trips to explore our beautiful region and what it has to offer.

The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens National Park at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve.
We have different camp options available, one of which is set up for those guests also wanting to stay with horses or just have a larger group booking.
Guests will have access to a toilet and shower throughout their stay which is within walking distance from each of the campsites. Campfires and pets are welcome.
The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping.
The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property.
The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic
Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day.
There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Above, birds of prey ride the thermals of the valley looking for their next meal.

During the day you can enjoy a walk through the pine forest, and in the afternoon experience the incredible sunset vistas from our hill or from the luxurious outdoor bath. By night, sit by the firepit and gaze up at the stars while listening to the sounds of nature on the fig tree swinging chair.
The outdoor bathtub is available for hire for the evening with prior notice, and will come with natural bath salts
We recommend our guests bring swimmers for the bath. During your stay you will have access to our outdoor shower and composting toilet with a view. These facilities are shared by 1 other person or if another camper stays, and we kindly request that our guests are mindful of water consumption as we are on tank water.
Connection of power and water is an option for extra.
Our campsites are also dog friendly as we love having your fur babies visit! However if you are bringing your furry companions with you, please ensure they are friendly with other dogs, kept on a lead and supervised at all times, as our baby chickens and miniature pigs like to explore during the day along with my dog who will constantly want to be around.
Ready to explore outside the Farm? We’re just a short drive to Eumundi, Pomona or Cooroy for cute shops and markets, or venture 25 minutes to Noosa for a day at the beach and a variety of quality restaurants.
I live onsite in another area of the property, but will be available for any questions or help.

The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens National Park at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping.
The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property.
The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic
Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day.
There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Above, birds of prey ride the thermals of the valley looking for their next meal.

This is a breeding and training horse facility so could guests please stay away from fenced off paddocks and the large horse complex.
It is also requested for guests to please take all rubbish with you on departure and leave the area as you found it.

Situated just 30-40 minutes from Noosa and Gympie, or an hour from Rainbow Beach, let our camp be your base for a trip of day time adventure and relaxing country evenings. We are also close to Noosa Everglades, which is one of two Everglade systems in the world.
Coondoo Springs is a 185 acre property, featuring our very own climb-able Coondoo Mountain, cattle, natural springs, wild native animals, beautiful native bushland, starry nights, and over 200 identified species of birds.
During your stay, you can embrace country living in many ways. Hike up Coondoo Mountain and enjoy views stretching from Fraser Island to Maroochydore. Befriend our cuddly farm dog, Fuz, and have a chat with land owner and host, David, who is full of knowledge on regenerative farming, information about the area, and stories of the world. With options to stay on powered concrete slabs, in a self contained shed apartment, in unpowered sites spread out through the property, or even stay in swags on top of the hill, we can accomodate all peaceful, self-contained, respectful visitors.

With rolling hills, tall pine trees and a variety of wildlife, this nature haven is the perfect place to relax, reconnect and soak in the peace and calm of this beautiful land.
The farm is home to more than 70 animals (All have names) including dwarf goats, cows, chickens, and our guests often have the chance to see cute baby animals up close! During the day you can enjoy a walk through the pine forest, and in the afternoon experience the incredible sunset vistas from our hill or from the luxurious outdoor bath. By night, sit by the firepit and gaze up at the stars while listening to the sounds of nature on the fig tree swinging chair.
The outdoor bathtub is available for hire for the evening with prior notice, and will come with natural bath salts
We recommend our guests bring swimmers for the bath. During your stay you will have access to our outdoor shower and composting toilet with a view. These facilities are shared by 1 other person or if another camper stays, and we kindly request that our guests are mindful of water consumption as we are on tank water.
Connection of power and water is an option for extra.
Our campsites are also dog friendly as we love having your fur babies visit! However if you are bringing your furry companions with you, please ensure they are friendly with other dogs, kept on a lead and supervised at all times, as our baby chickens and miniature pigs like to explore during the day along with my dog who will constantly want to be around.
Ready to explore outside the Farm? We’re just a short drive to Eumundi, Pomona or Cooroy for cute shops and markets, or venture 25 minutes to Noosa for a day at the beach and a variety of quality restaurants.
I live onsite in another area of the property, but will be available for any questions or help.

We loved camping at Yabba Creek Farm, even in fairly on and off rainy weather the experience was excellent. The hosts were super friendly and helpful offering us to stay in a different site the "Mountain View" site as it had a built structure we could escape the rain under. This was a blessing we were grateful for and allowed us to stay nice and dry.
We took the opportunity to use the free kayaks that are onsite to borrow and had a nice paddle around and swim in the creek with our dog.
We would certainly come again and I'd certainly recommend any of the sites here as they all looked equally well maintained and spacious.

We absolutely loved our 3 night stay at Yabba Creek Farm, the best Hipcamp we have stayed at.
Our site was Silky Oaks, loads of room for our van and two other smaller set ups. Level, lots of shade, well maintained site and the views are fabulous. Easy access to the creek below for a cool swim in the close by swimming hole and the free use of Kayaks was a real bonus.
Dean is the perfect host and could not have been more friendly and helpful.
We highly recommend Yabba Creek Farm , we’ll be back.

We stayed at the Big Fig site at Hopevale for 4 nights and had a really nice, peaceful stay. Jason is a great host, friendly and easy to deal with and the site itself felt private and quiet which we really appreciated. There was heaps of wildlife around too, lots of wallabies, cows wandering past, plenty of birds and we even spotted a snake on our last night which made things interesting. It was a bit disappointing that we couldn’t swim in the dam but we chose to do the hike out to the hidden cave instead and honestly that ended up being more fun and a great little adventure. Overall it’s a lovely spot if you’re after some time in nature and a quiet place to switch off. We really enjoyed our stay.

Loved our stay here! Ticked all our boxes - swimming hole, dogs allowed, fire pits, toilet, and private - and as an added bonus, a golf course as well! Hosts Genelle and Dean are lovely. Will definitely be coming back :)

This month's Hipcamp trip was to Brooyar Station (Lake View, Site 24), we stayed four nights, enjoying the entire camp ground to ourselves. When the weather cleared, we had beautiful clear skies and magical starry-nights. The property is beautiful with rolling green valleys, a lily-filled billabong buzzing with birds and frogs, a visiting eagle, kangaroos hopping by and curious cows watching on.
Local adventures close by included walking part of the Kilkivan rail trail, driving dry creek backroads, finding the historic Mt Clara smelter chimney, bush tracks to Eagle Nest & Point Pure lookouts, pub lunch and great local coffee at Woolooga.
With no Telstra internet and phone reception at camp, this made our stay even more enjoyable.
We also had a little incident, and we can’t thank Rob and his helpers enough for jumping in and saving our van from burning to the ground!
We highly recommend Brooyar Station for a peaceful getaway.

Great location for day trips to surrounding areas such as Gympie, Noosa, Rainbow Beach. Beautiful big green campsites, some with power and water, some not, rolling views of hills and cattle. Hosts were wonderful, this is a quiet safe location, we spent 5 nights and definitely recommend.

Tuchekoi Ranch was our ideal site, quiet, well spaced sites and well maintained. We occupied site 3 with power, water and a fire pit. There were views through the bush and to our amazement a Koala shuffled up a tree no further than 9m from where we sat on our first night.
The site was slightly uneven, but if you’re prepared this is no problem. Easily accessible from the Bruce Highway. Would highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to Heart and Soul
Heart and Soul is exactly what you need if you are looking for a quiet getaway surrounded by nature. The property is beautiful overlooking rolling hills, being able to watch cows make their way past your bedroom window is such a unique experience that any animal lover must see.
Nina the host is excellent, friendly and incredibly helpful even when it comes to silly questions. We definitely will be back and recommending it all of our family and friends!
