Very nice and peaceful camp ground. Nice open area with plenty of room. Lovely listening to the trickling creek whilst relaxing with a coffee. Camp kitchen and immunities are basic but nice to have for the price.

Super easy check in procedure, great amenities (drop toilets, creek water showers, camp kitchen). Absolutely stunning view! This was my first Hipcamp experience and it has definitely started me off the right way.

Travelled all over Australia and this is definately one of my faviouite hipcamps!! So so peaceful, lush green surrounds, river sounds and lots of birdlife! Camp kitchen and cold showers a bonus. Whats not to love

The camping at Abide Eden was more than our family could have imagined. The tranquility of this slice of heaven met all our needs. The quiet creek and the open space was totally sufficient my kids to run and play. The view first thing in the morning as the sun rises is epic.

Beautiful plot thanks to Joel and hos hospitality.
Creek was perfect for relaxing in with the kids and dog,
Drop toilet keep up to scratch and camp kitchen and showers all set up for those that need it. We didnt as we had our own.
Will deffinatly recommend and return next time we are up this way

We had a wonderful stay at Joel's. We stayed for two days and would have loved to stay longer. Magical nature, a beautiful kitchen, and great showers. Highly recommended for family trips and groups of friends. Joel is a very good host and has a very nice family.

I spent a week here just me and my dog. I thoroughly enjoyed the serenity and friendly atmosphere. There are beautiful sunsets, lush green surroundings and sleeping next to the flowing stream was bliss.

This is my second time staying here, and will definitely be back again!
Toilets are clean and well hidden, the camp kitchen has a usb port to charge your phone using solar.
So nice sitting by the bubbling creek and reading a book.

Beautiful, quiet and comfortable spot with plenty of room for the kids to play. They spent the day swimming and kayaking in the creek followed by cricket and marshmallows are the campfire. Short trip into Gympie to explore the town.

Peaceful, lovely running creek and close to Gympie for supplies.
Whilst I didn’t need/use the camp kitchen, it was a shame to find it a little dirty with rubbish bin overflowing and quite a few empty beer bottles lying around.
Otherwise a lovely spot with beautiful views.

Joel come out to meet us when we arrived to provide an introduction to the property and ensure we had everything we needed to get set up. The space was quiet, well equipped with plenty of room between each site.

On arrival the camp area seemed suitable, large open area. However the ground is more suitable to tents or camping, rather than caravans. The toilet is unhygienic and inappropriate. The hot water system is non existent so no hot showers as posted on hipcamp. Apparently there is a light, tho we didn't find it. Most free camps have much better facilities than provided here. The $36/night fee is certainly misleading. I contacted Joel that evening and he offered showers in a shed down at his property. My 3 nights were refunded, minus the hipcamp fee. It was quite inconvenient to have to pack up and move to another park further away. We stayed in the area as I was playing in a bowls tournament. I showered at a truck stop in the morning.

This is a very special piece of land, the little babbling creek running through is delightful, so much wildlife. The thing I loved the most was the 360° view of the sky, the rolling paddocks and changing light throughout the day. Joel is busy managing a community and a farm and hopes that campers can look after themselves, but is always on call if anything is needed and responds promptly with care. He is just up the road if you need anything. The amenities are compost toilet, undercover camp kitchen with gas cooker, pots and pans and double sink, large table and chairs. There is tank water available. Power is two USB sockets 2.1v and a cigarette lighter socket run by solar. I picked up an inverter from repco in Gympie for $25 on special and was able to charge my laptop etc on fast charge. Two adequate showers where Joel is working on replacing hot water system. I had showers during the day where the sun warmed the tank and today when I was leaving at lunch time today the water was really hot. I loved my stay, so peaceful. I stayed 1 week to explore Gympie area as it is only 10 mins from town. Phone reception is low. With a car aerial up, you can watch Netflix easily.

If you are looking for a beautiful, safe, family friendly campground...... this place is the go!!!! Couldn't have felt more safe and taken care of as a lady camping on my own. Being a host isnt always easy.... and Joel is the quintessential Hi camp dude you want to help.............. or not. Its up to you and that is refreshing. Proximity to southside of Gympie is amazing for supplies (affordable holiday trash for kids) and most importantly Beers for adults. What more can I say.

Experience was not the worst but bugs everywhere which is expected whilst camping. However, if the camp kitchen had been cleaned a bit before hand I don’t think it would have been as bad. Toilets also a hole with sawdust in it

Abide Eden was the perfect location for our family camping adventure.
The site south of the big pine trees has shade all day with a fire pit ready to go.
The kids absolutely loved the creek and were swimming and playing on the kayak most of the time. The mud and fresh water were loads of fun.
The showers and camp kitchen were fantastic and the communication with Joel seamless. The toilet was a bit gnarly and may need to be emptied, but that's all part of the camping fun.

Abide Eden Project was a great spot to stay with the kids they really enjoyed playing by the creek and it wasn't too far to Amamore SF for a bush walk and a play in the water hole. Amenities were nice and eco friendly and we even managed to spot a platypus and a fresh water turtle in the evening. We stayed down by the hoop pine trees. Watch out for the pine needles and the thistles though. Foot wear is useful.

Lovely peaceful camping spot, there’s a little creek & a we got to relax next to the sound of water running. Nice flat spots. Joel is lovely & has made a great effort with basic amenities.
My hubby got to see the platypus. Close to Gympie so if you need to grab anything it’s not far to town.

Our stay at this beautiful location was wonderful. The spring-fed creek was really neat, and we were thrilled to see platypuses there! The showers were fine, but the composting toilet was not great. Overall, it’s a lovely spot.

It was a beautiful place to camp. There are some special spots to walk to on the property also. Showers and the cooking kitchen were up at the main property owners home and shed, so not near your own site, but the property owners are wonderful and available if you need anything.
