Hold newly hatched poultry, friendly chickens and maybe even lambs. Bookings are essential come by the farmhouse and meet at the gazebo. We are 10mins from Dimbulah or 20mins to Mareeba with their many attractions. We can tell you all about the many attractions and activities this area has to offer. Please Note: Cattle Creek and Waterfront Campsites are accessible by 2WD. The other campsites are 4WD access only and with off road campers/caravans only (high clearance to get through a dry creek crossing). These are self contained sites so please take your own shower and toilet facilities and take away all waste. Well behaved dogs are allowed but must be supervised at all times for the protection of the sheep, poultry, wildlife and not to be brought to the house yard. Sorry no motorbikes or ATV’s. Now we've only just started with Hipcamp, we do have a lot to discover, happy to listen and learn. We do offer plenty of space and you will not be crowded out as we keep numbers very limited. No facilities, no toilets, showers, electricity, rubbish bins etc. We do ask that you respect this as you must be fully self contained. We do not consider, a bucket with a lid, to be self contained ok! Right now though in our top dam, we have a flock of White Egrets roosting at night, spectacular when they depart & return each day, however due to the number of these birds, hundreds if not more! they have fouled the water in the dam & it's a bit on the nose.

Yindilli Camping Ground is set amongst some of the most beautiful open eucalypt forests and rainforests of north Queensland and is located on the CREB Track, a popular 4WD tourist route. Nearby is the iconic Roaring Meg Falls. The track is not suitable for towing caravans. We are 38klms from Daintree Village on the CREB Track (also known as Upper Daintree Rd) and it will take about 2.5hrs to drive as the road is unsealed, steep in sections and narrow. Be aware of weather conditions before travelling on this road as minimal rainfall can make the track slippery. An alternative route to Yindilli Camping ground is from the northern end of the track from Bloomfield via the China Camp Rd or the Zig Zag Track - both meet up with the CREB Track. We are 27klms from Bloomfield or 1 hour to drive, this section is graded regularly and easy to traverse in the dry season.The campsites have access to a freshwater creek for swimming and relaxing. The birdlife is abundant, including the occasional glimpse of a Cassowary. Camp sites are on 2.5ha of lush green lawns, lots of shade and within metres of a fresh water creek for swimming and relaxing. Facilities include: septic toilets, showers, dry firewood (on request) and spacious sites Children and pet friendly. Guests are advised to only light fires in designated areas and these must be fully extinguished before departure.

What a special little gem of a campsite .. our site had tap water and power , and plenty of room for our ute and camper trailer setup . Peaceful river with sandy bank is only 50 m down some steps. Kayaks, canoes and sun lounge are provided too . Judy and Don are great hosts and very welcoming onto their picturesque property ... not our first time here and we will be back again and again. VERY hard to beat !

Two years ago we stayed at the Barron River Getaway and we had such an incredible time that we decided to return. Same as before, we had an amazing experience staying on Judy and Don’s property. Our hosts were warm and inviting, and with a large and lush lawn overlooking the Barron River, it was the perfect place for our student group to spread out. We enjoyed watching the abundant birds and marsupials on the property, swimming in the river, and sitting around the campfire while having enriching cultural exchanges with our hosts and the guests they brought. Don and Judy don’t just know the local history, they’re a part of it, and have played an important role in making Kuranda what it is today. We are so grateful for the hospitality and flexibility they showed us, and their farm is a great place for any group gathering.

1 night at Twitcher’s Hill

Theresa and her husband were lovely hosts! Beautiful area with all the amenities (hot shower with use of kettle, clean bathroom, sink to clean dishes, campfire, table/chairs, and grass tennis court. Theresa and her husband also provided us with recommendations of things to do in the area. Such a great place and kind people! We will think fondly of our time here, although short!

2 nights at Easy Camping at Wallaby Nights

We enjoyed our short stay here. Alex was very friendly and helpful and her place was in a great position to head onto Cairns, the wharf or airport. We had a peaceful stay and enjoyed seeing all the cute wallabies.

4 nights at Hartleys Creek Retreat

Loved Hartley's Creek. Dean was super friendly and knowledgeable. We had a great spot over looking the creek and close to the deck which looks out over the creek. The facilities were clean and the grounds really well looked after. Wangetti Beach was close and a great place to walk along at low tide. We really enjoyed our stay.

Weekend Trip to River Paddock Farm

Bobby-lee was super friendly. Loved the grassy site, and the crystal clear creek with its sandy bottom and beaches were sublime. It was like being in a green cathedral. Only downside were other campers feeling the need to leave their own hundred or so metres of private creek to constantly pass through or take over the little piece of paradise directly beneath my campsite.
