Loved the hot tub session! The area has a lot of rain and needs to be mindful where you park and tent up. The host Jeanie will give you some advice for suitable spot. The location is also plus, close to the village for morning coffee.

Incredible spot - very tranquil. Couldn't hear any traffic from the road. Lots of birds. Ample firewood provided and we made it work despite the rain. The bathtub was divine as well.

A tranquility of peace and mind healing is the best way to describe it! Host was very friendly. Amenities were satisfactory. Loved the outdoor bath tub!!! When a host loves what they are doing, the experience is remarkable. Thanks Kirsten! I still think you need a microwave though :))

Really lovely warm welcome on arrival and a very pretty property. I feel the space is quite small and positioned in a way that wasn't ideal for our set up of a roof top tent and side of car awning. The provided kitchen and bath space was lovely and added a touch of homely comfort.

We really enjoyed our stay. Peaceful location with beautiful outlook. Close to Kuranda village and makes an excellent base to explore Cairns and surrounding areas.

Rainforest Hideaway
We had a lovely and peaceful night on Kirsten’s land with our 15 month old who loved playing in the beautiful wooden cubby house and baby swings. The lawn is lush and green so was great for my little one to run around barefoot. Kirsten offered us a picnic blanket to sit out in the afternoon sun. We bought some firewood off them and had a lush outdoor bath and ate by fire in the evening. Highly recommended.

Had the best time here, quiet and very relaxing! Would definitely come back. Really cool vibes with the train and the owner is super super friendly. Had nice hot showers and helped us move the van as the ground was a bit wet in places! There was also firewood ready for us if we wanted to use it and chairs to sit on. Everything is thought about. Loved it

Beautiful place! Rainforest setting, but close to town. Hosts welcoming and helped us settle in. Had a lovely night around the fire and outdoor bathroom was a treat, as was short rainforest walk on property. Recommend

Perfect private place on the rainforest edge! Wallabies hopped right by at night. Bird calls can be heard up the trees. We loved it so much we stayed 2 nights in our roof-top tent. Private hot tub and shower literally a metre from the actual rainforest!!! Magical way to spend the evening. Compost private outdoor toilet. Firepit and chairs provided. Lovely friendly hosts who give you your privacy and are happy to help.

UNFORTUNATELY our stay at this alleged "Hideaway" was not the great. As much as Kirsten is a friendly and helpful host and was generous with electricity and water, overall the stay was more of a disappointment than anything.
The pictures and the title "Hideaway" are most definitely very FALSE ADVERTISING!!! I have now uploaded proper pictures that actually represent the situation accurately, in the hope it will help other campers to fall for the same ILLUSION.
The campsite is basically RIGHT NEXT to their house and it felt like we had NO PRIVACY whilst staying here. Its anything but a 'hideaway'!
We continously had to be mindful with out music/speaker and in turn had to listen to Kirstens crying toddler for most of the days.
This was definitely nothing like the advertising /representation suggested and we are leaving this place with a fair bit of DISAPPOINTMENT.
So if you are like us and just want a quiet, private and cozy love-nest in the forest then this clearly place is NOT FOR YOU!
Also, Kuranda is KNOWN for its high humidity - > moldy tents. Something we had to find out the hard way.

The firewood was damp. The amenities were okay. The Canpground was even /flat.

Kirsten has been quite helpful and welcoming and we are grateful for that, but by no means did that compensate for the MISSLEADING hipcamp-ad that was uploaded.

We loved staying here! The land is beautiful as are the family that owns it.
We did the meditation Wu Dao in the morning with Kirsten and it was such a beautiful way to arrive in the Daintree. We felt so relaxed, calm, grounded, and present afterwards.

A beautiful property in such a quiet lush spot. If you’re wanting a night to stop off to explore karunda this place is perfect:) The residence house is quite close so it would be a quiet stop but still beautiful with a fire pit & bathroom. It’s in the mountains so lots of loud insects and fireflies!!!!! Kirsten was incredibly hospitable and friendly offering us whatever we needed, would definitely stay again :)
