Absolutely beautiful & peaceful listening to the birds & running water in the creek. The campsites are on the banks of the creek & the water is crystal clear. The site is close to Mossman but felt very private & the directions made it easy to find.

The Lake House camp was exactly as described, a beautiful cleared mostly flat area surrounded by rainforest and crystal clear stream for dipping and floating. A great base to explore the area. Very little internet, but I had the Starlink, so not a problem.

Beautiful peaceful campsite when we were there and the crystal clear stream is lovely.. We had the place to ourselves. The entrance was muddy due to recent rain, but we were able access with some care.
Bliss quiet peaceful alone. This place is stunning

The host was very friendly, and our child loved meeting the animals. The setting is beautiful, but the campsites are quite close together, so there is limited privacy.
Our second night was less enjoyable due to a late party on the property with loud music and traffic until after midnight. As it was on the owner’s property, it was clearly an approved event. We don’t expect complete silence when camping. However, as the night went on the music became increasingly loud, and there were cars constantly coming and going until well after midnight. We were camping with our 3-year-old, and several of the other campers also had young children, so it made for a very restless night.
If the property is being used for a party, maybe don’t take camping bookings for that night. Guests are paying to enjoy a peaceful camping experience, and it’s difficult to do that when a loud party is happening on the same property.
The host was great and the place has a lot of potential, but the noise made the stay less relaxing than we had hoped for.

We had a great stay at Miallo Lakehouse. The spot was well maintained, a campfire every night, easy access to the crystal clear water for the kids. The horses & cows were all friendly & the kids loved feeding & patting them every day. Thanks for having us all Billy & your great hospitality. We’ll be back!

Beautiful location with east proximity to Port Douglas. Level, grassy camp site alongside a crystal clear creek. We had the entire camping area to ourselves which made for a peaceful stay.

Thank you for sharing your paradise with us. We stayed for two nights and I think it’s the most beautiful camping spot I’ve ever experienced. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves. 10/10
Incredible private spot, exactly what we were looking for. Would love to return in warmer weather to do more swimming, mozzies weren’t too bad, campfire by the water- priceless.

I enjoyed the tranquility of the campsite. Easy to find but entrance was a little boggy from the rain. Still we got in with our caravan. Once setup you feel miles away from everything. Ideal for our 2-night stay. Will be back. Thank you.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Lakehouse. The running creek was so beautiful and the site was lovely and quiet. We were fortunate enough to have the place to ourselves, but the sites did appear to be large and well spaced. There had been some rain and we were a little concerned that we might get bogged but managed ok. Billy was clearly in the process of addressing this situation. Thank you Billy for sharing your piece of paradise with us.
Oh wow what an absolute amazing place. Like seriously the water is crystal clear. We thoroughly enjoyed it here, the kids had fun swimming all day.

5 camps in 100 metres, fine if you like camping with others?
No privacy from other campers!
Beautiful location on the creek but no access if other campers are there! We had camp 1 which is at the end and once camp 2 arrived we lost access to the river!
The areas don’t drain particularly well and it had rained before we got there and during.
Asked for firewood when booking and was told $20 for a big bag (lots) but none was delivered and with no phone reception (I’m with Telstra) we couldn’t get hold of the host, went to the house but nobody was home.
If you can get the area to yourself it would be lovely or if you’re happy to camp like at a camping ground (without the facilities) then it’s a beautiful place.

We really enjoyed camping here. We got in with a 22ft van with no problems, beautiful green grass on the banks of the flowing creek and surrounding rainforest was stunning. Great communication with the owner, Peaceful place to camp, relax and swim.

Awesome spot for a 2nd time! The dogs ad we love chilling in the creek with a beer - nice and peaceful - good sized sites too

Absolutely awesome creek for swimming (particularly for kids). Wide and shallow dependent on the recent rainfall.
4 grassy sites (1-4) and 1 sandy (5). Great spacing between campers. Easy to access from highway.

The Lakehouse Creekside Hipcamp
We had a perfect spot at number 4, plenty of full sun for solar collection.
Plenty of open grassed space for the kids to play, the creek was also fantastic for both big and small kids to play and swim in.
Just a note that there is no water available at all and if you need to top up tanks you will need to collect from town.
We are a big rig and had no issues with getting in or out.
We will definitely be back next time we are up that way.
