We are located

We have a several cattle and horses, and regularly kangaroo, hare, and eagles frequent the farm.
All overseen and kept in order by
the ever present "Ziggy" and "Harvey" our lovely English Pointers.
Enjoy lovely views and relaxed peaceful settings.
The farm is off grid but all the normal services are available.
We also have a little vegie garden that always needs a water, and the animals love their carrots and grain.
Close to Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, Fernvale, Upper Brisbane River and
Wivenhoe districts.
In the area, you may want to check out the township of Marburg (local pub, shops and coffee), Sundowner Hotel, Savages Crossing, or the RAAF Amberley Heritage Museum (plan ahead).
Friendly pets welcome as long as they are kept under control and
are not a danger to the livestock.

The large campsite is located alongside our 14 acre dam with a pontoon and dam banks to explore.
The site is flat and mowed with easy access from the road for caravans.
The dam is perfect to launch a SUP/ canoe out on, float around on floaties and spot some turtles or eels.
Great to swim in/ try your luck with a fishing rod, but NO JUMPING from the pontoon as water levels vary and submerged debris/ trees etc. (common sense swimming in dam and water sources.)
The pontoon is perfect for evening sunsets (or a sneaky proposal, which has happened a few times already!)
** Please be very conscious of deciding to camp with children in close proximity to an open water source. Safety is our highest priority.
The campsite is bordered by seasonal crops.
We also have Cattle that rotate through different paddocks on the property, depending on feed and crop cycles. (Not all guests will have cattle about sorry kiddies!)
**Pets welcome, but to remain under STRICT supervision. Not to chase cattle or wildlife. **
Our property is also home to the local remote controlled airplane club.
Guests will be able to see and hear them buzzing around of a weekend. You can watch from the campsite but we ask not to walk through the paddocks or approach the club.
During weekday stays (and some weekends) you will have the pleasure to see fighter aircraft, KC-30s and the impressive C17 Globe masters doing some low flying and pass overs as we are just on the edge of the Amberley RAAF Base circuit area.

Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property.
Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed.
Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water.

Bring some cash for firewood, coffee and other bits and pieces. There's a kids surprise cupboard, with toys to borrow while your staying here.
The $45 camp fee pays for 2 adults and 1 child. Just message me about extra guests as hipcamp adding extras doesn't work properly. You can pay by cash or transfer on arrival if necessary.
Extra adults campers I will discount to $15 instead of $20 adults and $5 for kids.
We also offer day visits for $5 per person.
Plenty of room for caravans, buses and horse floats. I have a round yard and horse yards and horses are $10 per horse/night to cover water costs. BYO hay.
Wivenhoe Dam (photo of big water mass) , Atkinson Dam and the Brisbane river are all close by. The famous rail trail that a lot of horse riders and cyclists enjoy is just a klm down the road. (keep an eye out for koalas)

A grassy flat tent site is tucked away shaded by trees. Powered Caravan site is also grassy and flat with a large area for kids to play. If you choose to set up in the open away from the trees the house will be in sight (45m away), but we live a quiet life and respect your privacy. The property is on the Brisbane River, the site offers river glimpses however there is no river access.
Suitable for tents, campers trailers, caravans and RV's. We are close to the CBD so the site is a great option for a 'shake down' for your new caravan or camper trailer. If you're new to camping this is a great place to ease into a lifestyle that offers so many opportunities further afield.
You won't have to share the campsite with other campers, you will have the spot all to yourselves.
Supermarket, bottle shop, takeaways, cafe and pharmacy less that 4 km away.

Papa’s Billabong is alongside a dam with a variety of wildlife. The campsite is secluded, quiet and tranquil with stunning sunsets and starry night skies which make for a great camping adventure.
We welcome all campers including caravans, camper trailers and tents to our Blenheim bush camp. There is a variety sites in each area featuring drive through level grass sites. We have provided toilet and shower amenities with some non-potable water to make your stay more comfortable.
Our beautiful Blenheim property has walking tracks with views of the Lockyer valley with the convenience of towns (forest hill and laidley) only 15minutes drive away. Our walking tracks will develop over time including vintage farm memorabilia and sculptures to explore. You are welcome to bring your kayak or canoe, or even have a swim in the dam.Or sit back and watch the variety of bird life and kangaroos.
Unique features include cow trough firepit and termite mound pizza oven.
Pets are allowed but must be supervised at all times and on leash if exploring.
No chainsaws but a small amount of firewood will be provided to get you started free of charge, we supply a trailer load of timber for a night fire, some split wood suitable for a cooking fire is available for $10 / bag

Great to swim in/ try your luck with a fishing rod, but NO JUMPING from the pontoon as water levels vary and submerged debris/ trees etc. (common sense swimming in dam and water sources.)
The pontoon is perfect for evening sunsets (or a sneaky proposal, which has happened a few times already!)
** Please be very conscious of deciding to camp with children in close proximity to an open water source. Safety is our highest priority.
The campsite is bordered by seasonal crops.
We also have Cattle that rotate through different paddocks on the property, depending on feed and crop cycles. (Not all guests will have cattle about sorry kiddies!)

Our property is also home to the local remote controlled airplane club.

Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property.
Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed.
Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water.
During extreme weather events the property can be affected, so if rain is forecast, please call before heading out.

The $45 camp fee pays for 2 adults and 1 child. Just message me about extra guests as hipcamp adding extras doesn't work properly. You can pay by cash or transfer on arrival if necessary.
Extra adults campers I will discount to $15 instead of $20 adults and $5 for kids.
We also offer day visits for $5 per person.
Plenty of room for caravans, buses and horse floats. I have a round yard and horse yards and horses are $10 per horse/night to cover water costs. BYO hay.
Wivenhoe Dam (photo of big water mass) , Atkinson Dam and the Brisbane river are all close by. The famous rail trail that a lot of horse riders and cyclists enjoy is just a klm down the road. (keep an eye out for koalas)

A grassy flat tent site is tucked away shaded by trees. Powered Caravan site is also grassy and flat with a large area for kids to play. If you choose to set up in the open away from the trees the house will be in sight (45m away), but we live a quiet life and respect your privacy. The property is on the Brisbane River, the site offers river glimpses however there is no river access.
Suitable for tents, campers trailers, caravans and RV's. We are close to the CBD so the site is a great option for a 'shake down' for your new caravan or camper trailer. If you're new to camping this is a great place to ease into a lifestyle that offers so many opportunities further afield.
You won't have to share the campsite with other campers, you will have the spot all to yourselves.
Supermarket, bottle shop, takeaways, cafe and pharmacy less that 4 km away.
Campfires are permitted. Firewood is available as an 'extra' for $20, please go to 'extras' to add to your booking alterantively purchase on arrival.
Power (10amp) and drinkable water is available close to campsite. You must bring your own camping toilet. Daily water usage is included, however long range water tank fill ups incur a one off extra fee of $10, please include this in your booking under extras.
No dogs please, Ockie and Arlo are the masters of their domain and don't like doggy interlopers.
NB: The site is not suitable for parties or large group gatherings.

Papa’s Billabong is alongside a dam with a variety of wildlife. The campsite is secluded, quiet and tranquil with stunning sunsets and starry night skies which make for a great camping adventure.
We welcome all campers including caravans, camper trailers and tents to our Blenheim bush camp. There is a variety sites in each area featuring drive through level grass sites. We have provided toilet and shower amenities with some non-potable water to make your stay more comfortable.
Our beautiful Blenheim property has walking tracks with views of the Lockyer valley with the convenience of towns (forest hill and laidley) only 15minutes drive away. Our walking tracks will develop over time including vintage farm memorabilia and sculptures to explore. You are welcome to bring your kayak or canoe, or even have a swim in the dam.Or sit back and watch the variety of bird life and kangaroos.
Unique features include cow trough firepit and termite mound pizza oven.
Pets are allowed but must be supervised at all times and on leash if exploring.
No chainsaws but a small amount of firewood will be provided to get you started free of charge, we supply a trailer load of timber for a night fire, some split wood suitable for a cooking fire is available for $10 / bag

We are a short walk or drive from NASH Horse Treking for those who want to do a pub lunch ride on a horse. It is a fantastic experience so Google them to book. We are a very short 900m bicycle ride from the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail (BRVT) which is one of the must-do cycle treks in the southern hemisphere. If you or your crew need a place to stay while riding the trail then this is perfect for you.
The town of Esk and two major dams are very close by where you can browse the antique shops, waterski, or fish to your heart's content.
We are also close to Fernvale where there are big Sunday Markets.

The Two Tree Hill campground has spectacular views. Better than expected. Very quiet, clean and tidy. The grasses were green and well maintained. The host was so accommodating and respect our privacy. I highly recommend this campground. The road going up there were just so easy . I highly recommend this campground. Can't wait to comeback.😍

Such a peaceful, well-maintained gem, everything clean and tidy, super easy to get to with clear directions. The hosts were fantastic with great communication from start to finish. It’s a beautiful little area, but the flat spot is a bit on the small side for a roof top tent plus awning. If you want more room to spread out, the Creek Campsite would be perfect instead. For a ground tent, this one’s spot on. Will definitely be back again for sure!

We loved staying at Riverfront Hobby Farmstay. We travel full time & needed somewhere close to catch up with family and friends & sort out some appointments. We were there for 4 weeks. This place was so quiet and relaxing & so close to everything. The hosts are super helpful and made our time there seem like we were part of the furniture. Will definitely be back.

Bare’s Hideaway was a lovely farm style camping experience! The paddocks had great views and were well kept, with flushing toilets and hot showers close by. Paul and Tracy were amazing hosts, making sure we had everything we needed, even taking us to see the new born piglets in their farm.

This gem is way bigger and better than the photos show! Such a quiet, peaceful and natural outlook with clean and charismatic facilities built out of recycled materials. The just were lovely and have though out everything, each day Paul and Tracy would drive past to check if we needed anything and Paul was nice enough to take us to feed the pigs, piglets, sheep and goats. We will be back for sure for such an authentic farm stay.

What a lovely spot at Bares Hideaway! Given the small number of campers they accept, there was plenty of space to spread out. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of toilets and showers. Wherever you chose to set up your camp, you were never far from amenities.
During our stay there was a large group there for a celebration but they were far enough away not to bother us.
We will look forward to coming back again!

Camp Spot 3 is a great flat spot to set up camp on tucked away in the bush. The views of the mountains in the distance make for a good back drop while you’re sitting back at camp, Daniel was a great host to deal with we will definitely be back sometime in the future.

What a great spot. Was very well maintained. Plenty of room, we even flew our kite. Enjoyed cooking on the plate above the fire. And even has table and chairs under a cover. And had a magical view of the stars. Would recommend to anyone looking for a private spot that's well maintained.

Our first visit to Bares Hideaway and won't be our last! Paul is a top bloke and very easy to chat to. There are a few different camp site options with something for everyone. We stayed at the Shell camp and were interested to see the goats, sheep and pigs. There are a few old buildings to have a look at and the amenities were excellent! We will be back! Thanks guys

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Bares Hideaway. The location is beautiful. The facilities are basic, but very clean and functional. The people who greeted us were friendly, polite and helpful. For the price it was better than I expected, and I would happily stay again. The only downside for me was that none of the farm animals came to visit when I was there. I am happy to reccommend this place to others.
