100 secluded acres located on the Gregory River approximately 15 minutes from Buxton township. The property is nestled amongst thousands of acres of national park for bush walkers an explorers. Guests need to be fully self contained and no toilets are on site. Access to the Gregory river enables fishing from the bank and a spot to place a crab pot to secure a local feed of fish or mud crab. There is also the option to put a kayak into the river from the bank. Campsites are located approximately 100m from the river bank so only a short walk to the water. Despite there being some snags, I have caught some very decent fish and crabs all from the property. For those wanting to spend a day on the water, I can guide guests in my boat to help land one of the many metre barramundi that call the river home. There are approximately 15 native beehives on the property and I am happy to show guests inside some hives as well as how to locate some in the wild for the interested bushwalkers and nature lovers. The property does not have power, water or toilets so please plan ahead. Significant rainfall can also make accessibility an issue along the 1km driveway so I would recommend a 4 wheel drive, however if it is dry a 2WD would be fine.

Our farm is located about 2.5km from both hospitals (private and government) for any care that you may need. All specialists and consulting facilities are very convenient. Next door to the campsites is our fantastic local cafe, The Depot Espresso Bar, open at 6 in the morning. They're happy to take orders for our campers from 5:30 if you knock! It's perfect for hopping on your bike from camp, grabbing your morning caffeine fix, and continuing on the day's biking adventure. We have 100 acres of paradise with many sites to choose from, either along our 300m of Burnett river frontage or along the winding Duingal creek tucked into seclusion. For the bigger vans we have sites up on top of the property overlooking the Burnett with just a short walk down to the water. There are NO Ammenities available so own toilet is a MUST! Bring your fishing rods, kayaks and walking shoes. There's some great fishing here including barramundi, perch, yellow belly mullet, gar - and plenty of catfish to keep the kids entertained! Don’t have a kayak, no worries. We also have kayaks available for hire. We also have the most magnificent sunrises and sunsets here, with beautiful birdlife including hawks and water eagles. Great for bird watching and photography! All campsites have access to the water unless we are advised per booking. Less than 5km down the road you will find Wallaville where there is a great local Wallaville pub, and a corner store that offers great pizza. Telstra is available for communication, and we are also only 18km from Gin Gin and around 50km from Bundaberg. Campfires permitted in the designated areas only, bring your own fire pit when possible as we have a limited number of fire pits available. when fire restrictions/bans are not in place. Plenty of fallen timber around the place to collect for firewood. Rosgrow Farm, 15 minutes off the Bruce Highway, offers secluded campsites set on a large tidal creek. There are plenty of trees and shelter. The creek offers fishing, crabbing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, boating and swimming. Fire pits and picnic areas make the sites perfect for evening relaxation with bird life and jumping fish, talking about the day's fishing or eating the day's crab catch. Limited firewood is sometimes available. It can be bought at a reasonable price about 9km along the road towards Burrum Heads.. Campers must be self-contained with their own toilet and shower and need to remove their rubbish. Particularly suitable for RVs and caravans with own toilet. Well suited for overnight travelers passing between Maryborough and Bundaberg, or others needing a few days rest, fishing or water activities. Sandflies are a problem in this region anywhere near water, in the mornings until about 9am and in the evenings after about 3:30pm, so bring plenty of repellent and apply early and often. Sites are 30-40 metres apart with a maximum of 8 vehicles and their occupants in the whole property. No overcrowding! Pricing: Basic booking is for a vehicle with caravan, or an RV, and 2 people. However I've noticed that campers in caravans generally have a more insulated experience and are less affected by any early morning barking. If you prefer a quieter spot, I make it a priority to assign campers the farthest firepit, Camp 4, nestled deep in the bush, providing you with a peaceful retreat away from any noise. Additionally I'm delighted to offer electricity to all camps, ensuring your comfort and convenience during your stay. Whether you choose a campsite closer to the amenities or opt for the tranquility of Camp 4, rest assured that you'll have access to electricity. The location is amazing; literally a 30m walk to the public footpath, and a few metres further to the ocean. There's a great sandy beach around 100m walk away, which is perfect for a high tide swim. The site itself is grassy and totally open, which is great for solar and gave the kids somewhere to safely run around. Karen was very friendly and greeted us on the afternoon we arrived, explaining some of the local attractions. We would definitely stay again when we are next in the area.

Our family of 5 ( 2 adults, 2 children (aged 7+3), pet dog), loved our weekend stay. We camped at site 40 and was lucky enough to have close encounters with the horses, ponies and donkeys multiple times throughout the day, even at night. The children loved feeding the animals, swimming in the river and playing on the park. The amenities were clean and in great condition, the children loved the bath shack, water was hot and mess free. The camp kitchen was clean and equipment was in working order, the children got to watch cartoons on the tv at dinner time, which they were very excited about. Amazing quiet camp site, lovely owners and well cared for. We will definitely be back!!

Rosgrow Farm, 15 minutes off the Bruce Highway, offers secluded campsites set on a large tidal creek. There are plenty of trees and shelter. The creek offers fishing, crabbing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, boating and swimming. Fire pits and picnic areas make the sites perfect for evening relaxation with bird life and jumping fish, talking about the day's fishing or eating the day's crab catch. Limited firewood is sometimes available. It can be bought at a reasonable price about 9km along the road towards Burrum Heads.. Campers must be self-contained with their own toilet and shower and need to remove their rubbish. Particularly suitable for RVs and caravans with own toilet. Well suited for overnight travelers passing between Maryborough and Bundaberg, or others needing a few days rest, fishing or water activities. Sandflies are a problem in this region anywhere near water, in the mornings until about 9am and in the evenings after about 3:30pm, so bring plenty of repellent and apply early and often. Sites are 30-40 metres apart with a maximum of 8 vehicles and their occupants in the whole property. No overcrowding! Pricing: Basic booking is for a vehicle with caravan, or an RV, and 2 people. Some sites can accommodate more than 1 caravan - if you are travelling with others and want to share a site, please make a separate booking for them at one of the other sites and feel free to get them to share your site instead.

Buxton Bush Retreat is a privately owned parcel of 17 acres located 7 kilometers (6 minute drive) from the quaint seaside village of Buxton. Walk through the seasonal creek, easily accessed at the Mango Grove, and see a lot of Quartz and other rocks. While exploring you could find Kangaroos, Echidnas, Goannas and many bird and plant species. Did we mention Gin Gin is only about 15 minutes away? So there's no need to worry if you need more Ice or Food! And if your interested in a day getting wet, Paradise Dam is only 40 minutes away. The area does have some places that we do not allow visitors due to needing clearing and cleaning. Please be mindful to stay away from the areas with 'junk'. We are trying to clear the place to turn it into somewhere magical and we appreciate your understanding until this occurs. We have a beautiful hobby farm on 2 and a half acres. Camping is at the front of the property where you will find vegie gardens and fruit trees. There is also a fire pit (plenty of firewood available), a trampoline and a games shed with toilet, shower and kitchenette facilities. Yes we live on the property and the campsite is in the front yard, however we do not infringe on your space at your campsite or the amenities area - these are yours and yours only whilst camping here. We do not double book our sites, it is strictly 1 group at a time. You can purchase free range eggs in half dozen and full dozen when available. Please ask on check-in. 200m to boat ramp with river perfect for water skiing, jet skiing, tubing and freshwater fishing (licence required as this is a stocked impoundment). On opposite side of river is Sandy Hook Boat Club where major water skiing and power boat races are held throughout the year. Located between Bundaberg and Gin Gin. Bundaberg has attractions such as the Bundy Rum Distillery, Ginger Beer Factory, a free zoo, Mon Repos Turtle Centre, lower Great Barrier Reef cruises to Lady Musgrave Island for snorkelling, great beaches some with 4WD access. Gin Gin is on the main highway to head north or south. Easy access from here to National Parks for walks and 4WDing. Being a hobby farm we have livestock in a paddock in the backyard. If you would like to join us for feeding in the afternoons please ask on arrival. Feeding happens between 4 and 6pm depending on time of year. We also have chickens that free range around the campsite at the front of the property who will happily take any of your scraps. Swimming pool available on request and children MUST be supervised.

Purchased in 1988 as a block of Bush, the majority of clearing was initially done with a small Massey Ferguson Te20 a long length of chain a shovel and chainsaw.Built originally with nothing more than the chainsaw, shovel, hammer and nails the log cabin that I still live in has undergone a few changes over the years but we have tried to keep it looking the same on the outside made mostly from large hardwood posts and paperbark slabs and half rounds for walls concrete floor with sunken lounge room. The hand built rock chimney is the feature piece of the front of the cabin so be sure to check it out and get a few pics.

Park your caravan or pitch your tent by the creek, Stockyard Creek. On our 28 acre property you have access to an extremely large dam for your water toys ( non powered) and mowed walking tracks all over the property. Campers must be self contained with their own toilet. Kangaroos are everywhere and an abundance of birdlife have the 2nd very large dam all to themselves. The site provides complete privacy and peace and quiet except for the bird song. The Heritage township of Childers is 5 minutes away by car, Woolies, restaurants as well as a main street that is very worth while walking down. Great coffee shops and interesting old Hotels.
