We have a beautiful hobby farm on 2 and a half acres. Camping is at the front of the property where you will find vegie gardens and fruit trees. There is also a fire pit (plenty of firewood available), a trampoline and a games shed with toilet, shower and kitchenette facilities. Yes we live on the property and the campsite is in the front yard, however we do not infringe on your space at your campsite or the amenities area - these are yours and yours only whilst camping here. We do not double book our sites, it is strictly 1 group at a time.
Pets are welcome for a small fee of $5 per pet per booking. If you are bringing a fur baby or 2 with you please add the Pet Fee into your booking via the EXTRAS tab.
You can purchase free range eggs in half dozen and full dozen when available. Please ask on check-in.
200m to boat ramp with river perfect for water skiing, jet skiing, tubing and freshwater fishing (licence required as this is a stocked impoundment). On opposite side of river is Sandy Hook Boat Club where major water skiing and power boat races are held throughout the year.
Located between Bundaberg and Gin Gin. Bundaberg has attractions such as the Bundy Rum Distillery, Ginger Beer Factory, a free zoo, Mon Repos Turtle Centre, lower Great Barrier Reef cruises to Lady Musgrave Island for snorkelling, great beaches some with 4WD access. Gin Gin is on the main highway to head north or south. Easy access from here to National Parks for walks and 4WDing.
Being a hobby farm we have livestock in a paddock in the backyard. If you would like to join us for feeding in the afternoons please ask on arrival. Feeding happens between 4 and 6pm depending on time of year. We also have chickens that free range around the campsite at the front of the property who will happily take any of your scraps.

If you choose to bring your horse you will find stabling or yards under Extras as begin your booking. The cost can be seen as you view the sites. The stables are rubber floored, meaning you use minimal sawdust therefore minimal dust. They are equipped with automatic waterers and feed bins. The yards are separated so that the horses can't reach each other from one yard to the other. Please ensure these areas are cleaned before you leave. There are rakes and wheelbarrows provided near the arena and at the end of the stables for your convenience.

We have a beautiful hobby farm on 2 and a half acres. Camping is at the front of the property where you will find vegie gardens and fruit trees. There is also a fire pit (plenty of firewood available), a trampoline and a games shed with toilet, shower and kitchenette facilities. Yes we live on the property and the campsite is in the front yard, however we do not infringe on your space at your campsite or the amenities area - these are yours and yours only whilst camping here. The yards are separated so that the horses can't reach each other from one yard to the other. Please ensure these areas are cleaned before you leave. There are rakes and wheelbarrows provided near the arena and at the end of the stables for your convenience.

We have a designated area for dog lovers called Dogs Corner.
There is a lovely paddock for the dogs to take in the country atmosphere and located right next to the 40 acre nature reserve with 4kms of walking trails, what better way to Escape, Relax and Unwind. 69 species of birds have been identified on the property to date.
We also provide dog minding services! Photo updates supplied. Cost is $50 per day (add to your booking). All you need to do is supply your dog bed and food. Recently our guests enjoyed a trip to Fraser Island and were very impressed with the service provided. So if you love your fur baby and you still want to have a holiday experience, just come and stay here and we can enhance your stay by giving your fur babies a holiday too.
You may be moved to a different site if your chosen site is too wet. We use Good Riddance products for the midges & mozzies during summer because it works, its non toxic + deet free. We have dry firewood (hardwood) available on the verandah for $15/15kg crate. There are plenty of sites to choose from.
One vehicle = 1 site - more than 1 vehicle can fit on any of the sites.

Our beautiful unfiltered rainwater is available for use during your stay, however there is no direct water connection to sites and all campsites are unpowered. Please ensure you come prepared to camp fully off-grid. Generators are welcome, but we ask that you use them considerately so all guests can enjoy the peace and quiet of the rural setting.

The hosts were welcoming and accommodating. This suited my needs for a budget friendly alternative to a motel, with my own own bathroom and kitchenette facilities, and access to power. As I was staying on my own I was able to set up a stretcher in the games room, and the industrial fan helped me survive a heat wave.

Beautiful peaceful spot. Nicely kept grass all around, with all camps overlooking the river and native bush on the other side. Amenities are new and impeccably clean. And so quiet at night because there are no highways anywhere nearby. Very close to the local pub, too, which has great outdoor seating and live music on the weekends. Yes, definitely would stay at this hipcamp location again.

What a gorgeous place to camp! The facilities are well maintained, there’s plenty of space for the kids to run around and we loved being able to choose any spot on the property. We took advantage of the loads of firewood, it made for the perfect night by the fire. We’ll definitely be going back again and again.

We had such a wonderful stay at Timbermill! Such a beautiful working Timbermill but still with modern, well-kept facilities and plenty of space to relax. The grounds are spacious, peaceful, and incredibly quiet — the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature.
Our kids absolutely loved being able to run around freely and safely, which made the experience even more special for our whole family. Everything felt thoughtfully set up and welcoming, and we truly appreciated the calm, friendly atmosphere.
We would highly recommend Timbermill, especially for groups and events, the Shed and facilities are perfect!
We can’t wait to come back!

We really enjoyed our get a way at Timbermill. This rural off grid property has plenty of room to find your own little space away from other campers or closer to the amazing ammenities if that's what you prefer.
There is a nice creek and small town within a short drive from the property.
If you love all the charm the Australian bush has to offer and looking for an escape from the business of more populated places I would definitely recommend this one.
Also plenty of chopped firewood is available for your convenience.
Will definitely be back.

Absolutely magical will be back many times. Private and tranquil. The Best kept a secret (If you don't know about it, it's not for you, as there are limited spaces) we camped unpowered in 3m pod, fine getting in. Had quite a few wheel spins getting back up hill to get out in my Kia Sportage.

Perfect as always! This is a spot I return to as often as I can.
Its such a beautiful camp, with amazing views, bird life and swimming. The amenities are always very clean and well taken care of, the warm shower is perfect at the end of a day of swimming in the river. We took the kayak this time and it was really easy getting in and out of the river.
It is so peaceful there and the hosts are lovely.

Highly recommend staying here, is a beautiful place to stay. Loved that there's goats, cows , chickens and ducks roaming and the Fairy track and garden is an awesome idea. Was easy access just have off highway. We have a big 19mtr bus and had plenty room to park it with water access. I even got to see and catch my first ever firefly. Hosts are so friendly and welcoming. Thankyou Susan, Vincent and Eli for making our stay a wonderful one.

We had such a lovely night at Woodlands Farmstay - large bush sites with firepits, feels very peaceful and secluded despite being so easily accessible from the highway and so close to town. Beautiful view of the stars at night too!
Susan and Vinnie are fabulous hosts, really friendly and helpful, and having a chance to interact with the gorgeous farm animals was a highlight for us!
We'll definitely be back and we can't wait to see how the place grows 😊

Where to go
Burrum Coast National Park
Campers with tents and trailers will love calling Burrum Coast National Park their home away from home. Campgrounds here offer amenities like flush toilets, cold showers, and fire rings. Vehicles with 4WD can camp on the beach, but be wary of high tide. The Hoppy Lark’s Creek day-use area is a prime picnic spot that looks over Gregory River, and the fishing platform lets anglers cast rods to reel in fresh catches. Head to the Woodgate section for walking tracks where local bird species hang out.
Wongi State Forest
Get acquainted with the whimsical eucalyptus woods in Wongi State Forest. Its roomy on-site pitches are suitable for tents, camper trailers, and motorhomes. Flush toilets, cold showers, picnic tables, and potable water are also readily available. Equestrians can take to the National Bicentennial Trail, while kayakers and swimmers explore the Wongi Waterholes. Make sure to bring the camera to capture candids of feathered friends that dominate the canopy overhead.
Great Sandy National Park
Two hours from Kinkuna, Great Sandy National Park is definitely worth the drive. The island K’gari makes up the northern section, and the Cooloola Recreation Area on the mainland sits on the southern boundary. Campgrounds in Cooloola provide luxuries like flush toilets, hot showers, and BBQ facilities, while K’gari features boat-accessible pitches for swags and tents with minimal amenities. Visit Lake McKenzie to dig into white silica sand before dipping into the turquoise waters. Then take a kayak trip throughout the Noosa Everglades—full of incredibly diverse wildlife.
When to go
Winter is the high season, offering milder temperatures for strenuous activities like hiking and horseback riding. Humpback whales make their annual migration during winter as well and can be seen from the coast of Great Sandy National Park from June through October. The humid summer season makes the waterholes in Wongi State Forest endlessly refreshing and draws campers to aquatic activities like kayaking through the Noosa Everglades.
