Please notify us if you are camping with other campers who have booked a separate site so we can have you camping beside each other During busy times, most weekend bookings are a minimum of 2 nights with 1 night bookings during the week, however occasionally we will have 1 night bookings on weekends. Check with your host to see availability on 1 night bookings. All campsites run parallel too the creek and are situated on the upper bank of Yabba Creek. Some have creek views, the other sites have trees between the creek and their site. All have mountain views. The main access to the creek is half way along the campground between site 8 and 9. Please do not leave your car parked in the walkway as this will block the entrance to campsite 9. Unfortunately, we lost many of our creek access points due to flooding. Our property is situated between Imbil and Lake Borumba on the beautiful Yabba Creek. We have 110 acres, with campsites on 20 acres. We have 1km of creek frontage. The creek offers fishing, swimming and kayaking. If you're lucky you'll spot the platypus in the creek and there's lots of birdlife around so bring your cameras! Kayaks are supplied free for all campers to use. We just ask that you treat them with respect and return them back to their launching place once you have finished with them. It would pay to pack your reef walkers as the river is rocky in spots. There is lots of space for motorhomes and large camping vehicles to maneuver and park. Plenty of flat spots for your tent or vehicle. This campsite has access to flushing toilets (toilets are situated approx. 400m from the camp sites) and water (rainwater), but you will need to bring your own camping shower. Campfires are permitted outside of fire-ban season (please use the existing firepits). The property features a gorgeous rainforest with a walking track that you can follow safely, and you can also access the state forest next door if you're up for a bigger adventure. Lake Borumba is just down the road which permits water skiing, boating, fishing and other water recreation. The town ship of Imbil is only 7 minutes away where you can visit the many cafes, bakeries, The Imbil pub, Sunday markets, Produce and hardware store, supermarket, butcher, clothing shops, hairdresser, fishing supplies, Petrol station, post office and more. We are a working cattle and horse property but we do allow pets, however pet owners will need to abide by the rules as set out under the Rules and Safety "Pets" section. Please note that there is a rifle range within hearing distance from Maluka Park and campers may at times on weekends hear gunshots. This generally only goes for a few hours.

Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property. The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day. There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. At Valley Camping you can pitch your tent, park your camper or caravan to access the beautifully mowed campsites beside the Yabba Creek and spring fed dam. Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. A pleasant overnight stop while making our way south to Brisbane. Our stopover was on a Monday with very few people on site, so plenty of places to choose from for us and our van. A 4WD to access the secluded sites would be recommended as it might be tricky getting out if you had any rain as the trek out is relatively steep, grassy but steep. We camped next to the dam and went to sleep with the sound of frogs chatting which is quite soothing and made for a good night. The camp ground is far enough off the “Bruce Hwy” which made for a quiet night and no street lighting is a bonus as well. Highly recommend this place and we will be back again.

The views were absolutely incredible! Despite the campground being fully booked, it was wonderfully quiet the entire time. The hosts were lovely and incredibly welcoming; they checked in to make sure we had everything we needed but also gave us plenty of space to enjoy our stay. Imbil is such a lovely little town and super close for a little outing too. We were hoping for a peaceful, relaxing weekend surrounded by beautiful scenery, and that’s exactly what we got.

Absolutely stunning. The property is beautiful, well maintained in a stunning part of the world. The campsites are well spaced out which means it feels quite private and is very peaceful. The river is beautiful. Great for a dip and a kayak. The free kayaks were amazing. A great way to spend some time slowly seeing the area. Dog friendly which is great. Lots of nice walks in the property including a view point We can’t wait to go back. Definitely go and check it out. Brian is super lovely and showed us to our site.

Lovely idyllic country scenes all around. Campsites spread along Yabba Creek, thoughtfully spread out so that everyone has space and privacy. Kayaks available for a fun paddle along the creek, which is nice and clear - we saw plenty of fish. Amazing view of the region after a short walk up a ridge. Also an amazing old fig tree to see a short walk into forestry from the campsites, and a grand old kauri pine a bit further into the forest. Brian is friendly and relaxed host, guiding campers to the sites and checking in after your set up to make sure you're ok. A really lovely spot for a relaxing time in the countryside. Plenty of birdlife for the birdwatchers too.

Our family/fur babies really enjoyed staying here! We planned on stay one night but ended up staying two nights! The host was so very friendly and even brought the trailer down full of fire wood for us to use! I was amazed by the amount of different kinds of dragonflies and butterflies! Simply magical! Ps: It is definitely worth paying to try your luck at panning for gold! There is gold to be found if you’re willing to dig! Thanks Neville! Stunning piece of property!
