Augie is one of our resident Koalas. He was released onto our property from Australia Zoo Hospital in 2023, just the same year we arrived here. Our little paradise features 30 acres, of which 20 belong to Augie and his friends as prime Koala habitat.
On the remaining acres we enjoy having a stunning little lake, just creating that zen feeling. Camping spots all have stunning views of the lake which invites you to take a stroll around following an easy walking track.
Maybe you can spot Augie or be delighted by the beautiful local birds that share our space. Our Kangaroo family usually grazes until sunrise just on the open grass area near the camp spots. Beautiful, well maintained property with rustic amenities. Heather, the host, came out to greet us and show us around the property. Hot shower, flushing toilet and camp kitchen are available a short distance from most campsites. There are also 2 composting toilets located in orher areas. Sites are well spaced and grassy. Powered sites are a bit cosy, but not different than a very popular caravan park at peak times. Powered sites are level and pads are gravel. There is a fresh water dam you can swim in and there are kayaks available to use. Which we used. An undercover deck area is available for use that overlooks the dam. Lovely spot for afternoon drinks. The property only had 2 groups when we arrived Friday. This increased to 5 groups on Saturday. Groups were well spaced, with off grid campers able to select their own site. Total relaxation to be had. Was very peaceful. Even with kids there, it was tranquil. Would highly recommend this property.

We had a lovely stay at Maya Nature Park. The host, Lucas, was very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The shower and toilet facilities were clean and well maintained, which is always a big plus when camping.
It was great to see cows and kangaroos around the property — a beautiful and peaceful natural setting. Overall, a relaxing place to stay and enjoy nature. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

2 nights at A Tent in The Forest
This place is lovely and great for first time glampers. Its very peaceful and is a great spot to escape the city life. The outdoor kitchen space is very nice and extremely convenient with fresh water, stove and Fridge. The bathroom was also very convenient with the compostable toilet and gass shower.
Ian has also painted spots on the trees located behind and up from the tent that lead to some secluded water holes. The walk is so nice and the water would have been incredible but unfortunately there hadn't been any rain so we couldn't swim in them. But still a lovely walk through the bush!
There is a little town called Pomona that is about 30 minutes away and it has such a wonderful energy about it. I instantly fell in love with the simplicity and beauty.

Power banks - charge your torches and electronics.
BRING YOUR OWN PILLOW, trust me.
All and all, this place is great and definitely recommend.

We loved camping at Maya nature park. Lucas was a great host! All the campsites we spaced we had the whole lower half to ourselves. Toilet and shower facilities were well maintained and very convenient. We even had a cow visit in the morning. Will definitely stay here again.
