We are a short walk or drive from NASH Horse Treking for those who want to do a pub lunch ride on a horse. It is a fantastic experience so Google them to book. We are a very short 900m bicycle ride from the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail (BRVT) which is one of the must-do cycle treks in the southern hemisphere. If you or your crew need a place to stay while riding the trail then this is perfect for you.
The town of Esk and two major dams are very close by where you can browse the antique shops, waterski, or fish to your heart's content.

We have a mini pig (Splat) that is now in the house yard due to pushing fences and getttongbout
She loves pats, runs and a brush. She is super gentle.
Sometimes the horses are at nearby agistment so, ask if the horses cam be here for your visit.
Baby animals are seasonal.
There are a couple of small playgrounds, clean double flushing toilets, picnic tables, gas bbq and chairs for your convenience and a nice above ground pool to stay cool in.
We have firewood for sale, and I make a barrista coffee if your a coffee lover, like myself.
Bring some cash for firewood, coffee and other bits and pieces. There's a kids surprise cupboard, with toys to borrow while your staying here.
The $45 camp fee pays for 2 adults and 1 child. Just message me about extra guests as hipcamp adding extras doesn't work properly. You can pay by cash or transfer on arrival if necessary.
Extra adults campers I will discount to $15 instead of $20 adults and $5 for kids.
We also offer day visits for $5 per person.
Plenty of room for caravans, buses and horse floats. I have a round yard and horse yards and horses are $10 per horse/night to cover water costs. BYO hay.
Wivenhoe Dam (photo of big water mass) , Atkinson Dam and the Brisbane river are all close by. The famous rail trail that a lot of horse riders and cyclists enjoy is just a klm down the road. (keep an eye out for koalas)

All sites are private and secluded with great views, great sunsets, and starry night skies. There is an abundance of birds and wildlife including Red Necked Wallabies, Possums, Rufus Batongs, Bandicoots and Echidnas.
There are seasonal creeks and waterfalls and wildflowers. Campers may occasionally be visited by a herd of friendly goats that like soft drink and chips. We often have baby goats and alpacas that are being hand reared which are popular with kids and adults alike.

The $45 camp fee pays for 2 adults and 1 child. Just message me about extra guests as hipcamp adding extras doesn't work properly. You can pay by cash or transfer on arrival if necessary.
Extra adults campers I will discount to $15 instead of $20 adults and $5 for kids.
We also offer day visits for $5 per person.
Plenty of room for caravans, buses and horse floats. I have a round yard and horse yards and horses are $10 per horse/night to cover water costs. BYO hay.
Wivenhoe Dam (photo of big water mass) , Atkinson Dam and the Brisbane river are all close by. The famous rail trail that a lot of horse riders and cyclists enjoy is just a klm down the road. (keep an eye out for koalas)

You're welcome to experience our tranquil farmstay Coobindah, and enjoy your own EXCLUSIVE campsite, without the crowds! Choose from ONLY TWO campsites on 83 acres rural property.
Both spacious campsites are well separated and not visible from each other.
To enhance privacy, we take only one booking / group per campsite, therefore you're likely to have the property to yourselves.
You'll enjoy peace, nature, amazing views, stunning sunsets, big starry skies, misty valley mornings amidst lovely countryside, farmland and the Aussie bush. Relax under the shade of the trees, warm yourself by the campfire, or go walking or mountain biking on our farm. Each campsite has its own rock firepit, and firewood is available (quality split ironbark firewood available in 'extras').
Wildlife often seen on the property, and there's currently no livestock in the paddocks.
Pet friendly, family friendly, a quiet retreat for couples / singles, or group bookings available.
Old Peppertree campsite is an elevated campsite that has all weather access and is suitable for 2wd and 4wd vehicles and all RV's and tents.
Bush Camp campsite is further down the back of the property, nearer the bush, downhill, and is suitable for 4wd / SUV vehicles and off-road / higher clearance RV's and tents. However access is fairly easy and this is only a recommendation.
Coobindah is just under 2 hours from Brisbane and is located on the Great Dividing Range. It boasts crisp mountain air and glorious views from the hills.

Lake Cooby (Cooby Dam) is just 3 mins down the road; fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, bush walking, picnic area and playground.
The renowned Meringandan Pub 5 mins.
Highfields 8 mins for shops, cafes, restaurants; Chocolate Cottage, Tavern, Monty Brewery (pet friendly), Pioneer Village and Highfields Falls.
Rosalie House winery, restaurant 10 mins.
Popular Cabarlah markets, Clock and Bull Brewhouse, Wild Honey Cafe, and Farmers Arms Pub, 11 mins.
Garden city of Toowoomba (Carnival of Flowers Sept/Oct), 20 mins.
Oakey Army Air Museum 20 mins.

Awesome that you don't have other campers, easy to find, nice and quiet (except for dogs barking for a while at night but stopped before it got too late.) They are not kidding when they say you need a 4wd! Super friendly hosts, will be back 😀

Absolutely stunning. This is officially our favourite place to camp. The fishing was fantastic, the surroundings were peaceful, and the night sky was completely lit up with stars. We loved being able to let the dogs run free, and by nightfall they were completely worn out. A huge thank you to Josh and Bonnie for sharing your little slice of paradise! We will be back!!!

We had a lovely time at wee farm. Even though the weather was a little wet for us we managed to get some fishing in and caught a few catfish. The area is very secluded and private. The toilet isn’t too far from your set up, it’s definitely not the best portaloo we’ve seen but it gets the job done. Ultimately we enjoyed our time.

The absolute best! Samantha is an outstanding host and keeps the camp area and toilets clean and tidy. She promptly responds to messages and doesn’t harass you like some other hosts.
Shops etc is only a 5 minute drive away and there’s a bistro/tavern just down the road if you want to grab dinner or a drink. Thank you Sam for being a wonderful host, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.
