This is an AMAZING place. If you like private camping....you will absolutely love this. Only one site with 3 spots with firepits if you wish to invite your friends. It has a beautiful jetty that you can step into the water for a swim or paddle up the river. We went for a paddle and pulled over onto a bank and went exploring. The owners are lovely and extremely communicative. It also has a look with a view. We will be back for a third time.😊

Weekend Trip to Tinara, 200 acre cattle farm

We had a great weekend at Tinara. Absolutely no one around. An amazing night sky with lots of satellite spotting. We went for a drive to Bunya mountains and then back for lunch at Maidenwell pub then back to camp to cook a camp oven, and drinks by the fire in the afternoon. A very cool night and a frost in the morning was nice. We towed our 15ft van to the hill without any problems but you would want a reasonable 4wd and offroad van for it. I enjoyed it being a bit of a challenge to get to the site.

Waterfall Views

Our property is located in Glenvale a suburb on the western fringe of Toowoomba, Queensland. It is an unique suburban acreage and yet a private site on either side of a spring fed permanent creek which meanders through the farm with its babbling waterfalls. There is a rockpool next to the waterfalls. The gentle churning of the crystal clear water in the falls is heard and seen from the perch atop the creek where the camp site is located. The creek meanders on and under the rustic covered 40 feet bridge as it leaves the farm. The farm has chooks, goats and of course Daisey the jersey cross belted galloway cow. They are a friendly mob and give good company! The treed farm has many spots along the shady tree lined creek for camping. Access can sometimes be difficult after heavy rain so please check with your host beforehand. For bike enthusiasts there is a biking trail that encompasses the property with two creek crossings. The creek lends itself to short distance canoeing for about 50 to 60 metres in 2 stretches. We have introduced fish fingerlings only recently in the creek and hence no fishes yet! The farm has two antique wooden carriages which are undergoing renovations as weekenders. Though campers are welcome to view them from outside they are not yet ready for use and are cordoned off. The new Coles shopping and Westside Bunnings are only a 3 minute drive and the local Eustondale Golf course next door. The property is a private little haven at Toowoomba's Doorstep with its own microecosystem that combines the four seasons of Toowoomba weather. Campfires are allowed outside of fire restrictions and only in the firepit provided. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times.

Set up camp on this flat, grassy site by a seasonal creek bed. Campers are welcome to bring their dogs and/or horses! Campfires are permitted. Crystal clear flowing creek. Two dams stocked with cray fish and we welcome cray fishing as long as females with eggs returned to dam. There are some great bushwalks on the property that you can enjoy, you may even be lucky to find the rock overhangs, that provide shallow caves heaps of rock formation and grass trees. Property owners have a number of quiet rescue and farm animals onsite including friendly pigs that may visit your campsite. Horses and alpacas on-site. Owners live off the grid using solar power as their only source. We don’t want to commercialise our property keeping it as natural as possible. Phone service is limited with access in high grounds areas. There are some 4wd sites available, please message the host to discuss this. Owners live onsite, so if you have any questions or need further information please ask! There are no amenities here, campers will need to be totally self sufficient and leave no trace when you go. The camp is located 2 hours from Brisbane, 1 hour from Toowoomba. 15 minutes down the road you'll find the unique town of Crows Nest, which has great historic sites, restaurants, pubs and shops. 30 minutes drive away you can visit the Muntapa Tunnel, a heritage-listed tunnel from Narko-Nutgrove Road, Highgrove through to Nutgrove. It was designed by Queensland Railways and built from 1910 to 1913 by Queensland Railways.

Peach Creek Retreat

Also if you are making a booking for more than five people, you'll need to do two bookings, so that we don't end up overcrowded. Thank you. Self sufficient campers are preferred. If you are looking to get away, put your feet up, switch off and recharge, then this is your perfect spot to enjoy the serenity of farm life with the added mountain views. We have potable bore water, electricity connection, picnic table and bench and firepit. We have two powered caravan sites that can also double up as tent sites. Ideally you should be self sufficient. Our bore has a solar pump that is rigged up to the water tank at the camp kitchen. Please turn the tap off once you have finished filling up your containers or caravan tanks. Bore water is potable, so can be used for cooking, cleaning, pets, etc. Any cooking implements and tools that you might need during your stay can be provided at request. Dogs are welcome, just please be mindful of our free ranging chickens, which are generally located at the top of the farm, near the big new shed. We also have baby goats that you are welcome to help us feed. Please ensure that you are mindful of our neighbours, no loud noises between 9pm and 7am and kindly clean up after yourselves and take your rubbish with you, as we don't have garbage collection at the property. Nanango has a lovely vibe. It's Queensland's oldest and friendliest town. There are great playgrounds, swimming pool and cart racing in town, which is only about 10 minutes away from the farm. Kingaroy is about half an hour away. There is a great off roading spot in the forest that is literally up the road from us. According to previous campers it's perfect for beginners. Welcome to “Karinya” which means peaceful and happy home. We are delighted to share our property with those that appreciate nature and want to take some time out amongst the gum trees. We are on a koala and wildlife corridor so respect for our wildlife as well as our domestic livestock is essential. We are conveniently located just off the Warrego Highway but once you set up camp, you will feel miles away from anywhere. Relax at camp or wander down to the creek to swim, fish or kayak (if the seasons are favourable); birdwatch, hike or mountain bike along the ridge; wander our flower field (seasonal picking available at additional cost); visit with the cattle and miniature ponies; stargaze and enjoy a camp fire (if there are no fire bans). If you want to explore the region, we are only 18klms from Toowoomba or Gatton and you can slip up Springbluff to easily access Highfields/Crows Nest area. Plenty of space to choose your camp, with very limited numbers accepted. Potable water available but Council requirements mean you must be fully self contained. Nearest dump point will be Gatton Showgrounds. The criticism of our space by some campers has been the nearby railway line. We have become immune to it but for some the passing coal trains is annoying. They are sporadiac - sometimes frequent, other times not. If you don't like trains, perhaps Karinya is not for you :( Leave no trace.

Bishop Farm Camp

This 10 acre property is located on the banks of Taromeo Creek, a quiet and peaceful camping location with great birdwatching. Taromeo Creek is a seasonal creek and is sometimes dry and sometimes flowing. When the water is flowing there are a number of water holes along the creek. Close to the local town of Blackbutt and only one and a half hours drive north west of Brisbane. Also close to the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail which offers 162kms of recreational trail for you to hike, bike or horse ride; with a local golf course nearby. Mount Binga National Park is close by which has areas to ride and hike. The annual Avocado festival which runs on the second weekend in September is always a popular time to visit. Our campsites vary and are spread across our 86 acres to give you as much privacy as possible. Campers are required to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and take all waste and rubbish with them on departure, Campfires are permitted in the fire pits provided. We have very secluded, off the grid bush camping, with direct access your own style of bush camping. You choose where your site is, first in, first served basis. Each campsite needs to be a minimum of 20m from the next campsite unless otherwise agreed. All bush walking, bike riding, kayaking or 4WD access to the public owned Emu Creek, and access is up to the individual camper as this is a public road. Internally on the private property is 20 acres of semi-cleared land (we suggest you may want a grass clearing device , and may camp near any of the 3 dams on the road front of the property. The main camp area has a covered area or Rustic Bush Cabin by the dam, with a graded flat for camper trailers of RV's. The dams are large enough for the children to Kayak, walk through and swim. Enjoy the natural, peace and quiet, subject to local fire restictions, enjoy the night by the fire, and am amazing star gazing, camping "ROUGH" on top very TOP of one small part of the Great Diving Range, hundreds of meters above ground level. 20 minutes drive from Blackbutt. Always call the manager Rick, direct on 0402 998 961, for a personal clarification of booking and your responsibilities as a camper. Fires should be kept to a sensible size and contained within a pit provided by the camper or using bush rocks or bricks. Campers should provide or collect your own wood and please be respectful of how much is collected and used from the property. You are responsible for your animal at all times, please take into account other campers and surrounding properties who have dogs. If your dog is a wanderer or disobedient then we suggest keeping on leash at all times. If you are comfortable you may have limited off-leash time. Again, make a judgement call based on the situation and remember that you are responsible at all times.

Our camping area is down on our creek where there are slashed camp sites suitable for groups of campers or just on your own. You have full use of a shelter complete with pot belly stove and firewood is for sale from our teenage boys. You can do birdwatching, yabbying, swimming in the waterhole (seasonal) picnicking and general exploring around the creek area. There are no people nearby and you will feel like you’re on the middle of nowhere (but are just 25mins from Toowoomba). Because of this and bio security, there is no 4WDriving around the property but you are welcome to explore the creek area on foot. Our location is perfect if you are first time campers or want to try out a new set up without venturing too far from home. 25mins drive will get you back to Toowoomba CBD. We are on black soil so our access road to the creek is dry weather only but is accessible by 2WD that have reasonable clearance. Deep Dime

Deep Dime is a 400 acre cattle, fodder and irrigated grain farm. Our primary crop is Lucerne for hay. Creekside Camp (our main camping area) is relatively flat, well drained sites along a creek that usually runs. This area offers multiple composting toilets and wood powered hot water bush shower and outdoor bath. There is also a large permanent deep waterhole a short distance from this camping area. We have temporarily paused out Hill camp sites, due to continuing property maintenance and improvements. The Hilltop on our place is a lovely spot to watch the sunset with a glass of your favorite beverage, and even if you are camped at Creekside, you are welcome to walk or drive up to hilltop. Just remember we are a working property, so leave gates as you find them. Our property is an easy drive from wineries, large dams, Bunya Mountains, art galleries, state forests, mountain bike tracks, and scenic Kingaroy. We are dog friendly as long as dogs are not aggressive and well controlled.

Yes: Rocky Creek Homestead is the venue for ""Camping with Goats"! Not only enjoy a quiet and lazy morning with a seasonal creek running along the outlook from your camp site, but you will also love our goats, and they will love you visiting, especially our goat named "Squirt", who thinks he is a dog. You will be camping with them as they roam around your camp site. We have 130 acres to explore and welcome caravans, tents and RVs. Later in the day you can walk or pushbike ride the many trails then perhaps enjoy a swim in one of the swimming holes (weather permitting). On dusk enjoy a wine, beer and some cheese by the campfire while watching the goats with their kids play. Mountain bike the many trails or walk around at sunrise to spot the many birds, wallabies, possums and the occasional koala as we are wildlife habitat. Guests are required to be fully self-sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash and under owners' control at all times. We are located 15 minutes from Toowoomba for shopping, dinning and 5 minutes to Withcott hotel or 10 to Murphy's Creek hotel both great country pubs. Children under 4 are free.

There is no vehicular boat ramp but still excellent access for other small watercraft. Due to the steep track to the camp area we insist on 4WD’s only - though you can walk down if feeling energetic! Enclosed Kids Space, very very tame sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys n geese and a jumping castle onsite which is open 9am to 2pm daily. (Note: campers can use for free) 2. Our licenced cafe onsite is open from 7am and serves delicious coffee, breakfasts, lunches, cold beer and on Friday nights - fish n chips! Got a group? We can make dinner for you with notice. Please note that we are next to a road and as such, you will have some road noise so as much as the location is highly convenient if you want absolute silence, this is not the place for you.

Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. There is a children’s playground and multi-purpose tennis court for everyone to enjoy. We provide tennis rackets, balls and basketballs free of charge to our campers. There is also no charge or fee to use the court. On most Sundays afternoons (weather permitting), we have social tennis where everyone is welcome to join in. The old school toilet blocks have the addition of hot showers and all toilet facilities are the flushing type. Campfires are permitted and there are small mobile fire pits provided so wherever you set up camp you can have your campfire right beside you. Note: There are no ground fires permitted and at certain times of the year Qld Rural Fire brigade may enforce a total fire ban. We have our “Caffeine Injection” kiosk on-site for the weekends and school holidays.
