Buranga Farm is a small organic family-run farm on 60 acres in the Noosa hinterland only ten minutes from Peregian Beach. The property is largely flat with a hill on the Eastern side and a ridgeline at the very back of the property. There are plenty of cleared open areas as well as a mix of lightly treed and native vegetation. Site one and two are located on the hillside looking west to Mount Cooroy and are best suited for couples. Sites three and four share a large open grassed area the flows down to the main lake that offers great swimming. Site five overlooks the lake and opens into a private bush area. All areas of the property are open to campers to walk through and explore. The farm comprises a series of ponds near the road that are in the process of being renovated for Red Claw Crayfish. The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens National Park at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve. We have different camp options available, one of which is set up for those guests also wanting to stay with horses or just have a larger group booking. Guests will have access to a toilet and shower throughout their stay which is within walking distance from each of the campsites. Campfires and pets are welcome. The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping. The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property. The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day. There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Axe throwing has recently become popular within the city, if you must try it on the property , bring a board, our trees are not to be used as targets. Stay out of our gated paddocks. We are not the place for rowdy parties or large groups. Most of our sites are nestled on different levels between trees and bush, so you may feel like you are the only ones there. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve. We have different camp options available, one of which is set up for those guests also wanting to stay with horses or just have a larger group booking. Guests will have access to a toilet and shower throughout their stay which is within walking distance from each of the campsites. Campfires and pets are welcome. The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping. The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property. The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day. There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. It is a very quiet location with 5 dams and 2 that you can swim and Kayak in, the creek is also great to swim and kayak in , free roaming cattle to camp along side with lots of bird life to enjoy . We are only 15min North East of Gympie, 17min to Mary Valley Rattler train station, 32min to Mothar Mountain Rock Pools, 35min to Tin Can Bay, 50min to Rainbow Beach, 60min to the Sunshine Coast, Noosa. We have 7 different locations. ***Powered *** and non powered. 1 hill top location with 4 powered and 5 non powered sites. 4 non powered locations beside the creek with many camp sites to choose from. 2 non powered off road private locations, 4WD access only. ** No toilets or showers and can only be accessed in dry conditions, please contact us before booking these sites. Facilities. We have 3 toilets and a shower with warm water , our water is filtered, but not suitable for drinking, we advise you bring your own drinking water. Camp fires. **Weather permitting** NO BYO, But we do supply. $25 1st day (includes: fire pit, fire wood, fire starter and matches) $20 each day after everything included, All guests must take their waste with them on departure. Things to do nearby. There are many places that you can visit if you feel like a short drive within 15- 60min such as Breweries, Wineries, Beaches, Markets, Rock pools and the old famous Mary Rattler Steam Train. There is also many quite and beautiful small towns to visit, to just sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or have a glass of wine or beer or two. Pop in for a break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and have your own spot along the beautiful running creek and enjoy the peaceful surrounds of nature. Pets. Non barking dog are allowed, BUT must be kept on leash at all times and kept by your side when strolling around, pet waste must be picked up and taken off site when vacating.

We camped with a party of 5 caravans / camper trailers at the quiet end of the lake, farthest from reception. Enough room for an even larger group. We were only a 300 metre walk from the main swimming hole. With lake frontage, shaded camp sites. A great weekend even with rainy weather. Will definitely come back to Bushywood!

Noosa RV camp was absolute paradise. The land itself is so beautiful - a woodland of eucalyptus trees next to a pond and horse pasture where you can spot kangaroos! The land is complete with a kitchen (small fridge, sink with town water, and stovetop), a lovely private outdoor shower, and a firepit & firewood. Ian was generous, responsive, and so helpful in every way - a perfect host! His dog is also the sweetest!! We wish we could have spent more time there, and we would return in a heartbeat.

We really enjoyed camping at Habitats. The check in and staff were very friendly and it was extremely easy. It is a very safe campsite with so much nature. Our kids loved watching and listening to all the animals around. The water was great and as we enjoyed paddling around the lake. All of the amenities were clean and it was great to try the beers at the bar. We had a huge amount of rain on our second night and our site in the Gums area held up well although we did see a lot of puddles around other sites. Some of the other sites also looked quite close to each other so if you aren’t afraid to walk further to the amenities and water I would recommend booking in The Gums area.

Hidden Camp was our first ever hipcamp and it was amazing. Quiet, lots of friendly ducks, donkeys, horses, chickens. Callam and Leah were super friendly and kept asking if we needed anything. Being close to the Bruce Hwy it was well positioned with lots of trees for shade, a few dams and a creek. We will also be back for sure
