We also have fire pits available at most sites with plenty of free firewood to collect around the property. Your fury friends are more than welcome but for the safety of them and others must be on a lead at all times. We are located about 50 minutes from Gympie, an hour 15 minutes from Rainbow Beach and or Hervey Bay and 45 minutes from Maryborough. The town of Tiaro is only 15 minutes down the road which has a Foodworks, Pub, United Fuel and Cafe. Don't forget the local Gundy Pub is only 5 minutes down the road. We have some walking trails located on the Camp Grounds to take in the scenery, or for the more adventurous located behind the office are longer walking trails with spectacular views at the top. There is a bike track and playground with Mini Putt Putt to keep the kids amused! Currently an RC track in the making for the remote 4WD enthusiasts. Easy access to the Mary River if you would like a spot of fishing, swimming or kayaking. Keep your eye out for the platypus and Mary River Turtles. We also have fire pits available at most sites with plenty of free firewood to collect around the property. Your fury friends are more than welcome but for the safety of them and others must be on a lead at all times. We are located about 50 minutes from Gympie, an hour 15 minutes from Rainbow Beach and or Hervey Bay and 45 minutes from Maryborough. The town of Tiaro is only 15 minutes down the road which has a Foodworks, Pub, United Fuel and Cafe. Don't forget the local Gundy Pub is only 5 minutes down the road. Great atmosphere and meals "tell them we sent you". Gundy Getaway is the perfect place to get back to basics and enjoy the peace and serenity.

Easily accessible property with flat areas for camping and or caravans. Front of block is well grassed with some shade. You walk down through some dry rainforest towards the back of the block which fronts onto Coonarr Creek. There is a small fire pit and also a large one which can be used when it’s the right conditions I.e not too windy and or dry. There is a toilet, shower and camp kitchen if necessary. The block is located very close to the boat ramp where you can launch canoes, kayaks,sup’s and small tinnies. The block is also a 5 minute drive to beautiful Coonarr Beach, which is suitable for swimming and fishing. Coonarr Creek is also suitable for fishing either off the bank or from a craft. Kangaroos are some of the resident wildlife and are often seen around the property and adjacent areas. Located approximately 20 minutes from Bundaberg city and all other attractions in the area. Recommended to bring personal insect repellent and or coils etc.

We loved our stay at Bucca River Retreat! What a perfect place to sit and relax enjoying the surrounds and the river! So peaceful and serene! We enjoyed a swim in the river, perfect temperature to! Toilets and showers are clean and today and presented well! The hosts Sarah and Ron are very welcoming and accommodating to any need required. Fire pits and wood are available to. Chrissy and Duane were extremely hospitable and generous to my boyfriend and I on our one night stay on their farm. The land is beautiful and animals were so gentle. We had the opportunity to feed the highland cows and lambs, made a campfire amongst the beautiful scenery, and indulged in the gift shop too. I would highly recommend this site to families, couples, and single travellers. Anyone would be able to find beauty here and I am sure we will revisit again!

We had a fantastic time at gumtree dam highlands. Chrissy and Duane were so helpful and friendly, and great to have a chat with. The animals were so cute, and the farm itself was beautiful. The little shop is really handy for firewood and ice, as well as souvenirs and knick knacks. This is a great place to go to get away for a while, and well worth a drive!! I would go again any day of the week, 100/10

We had a lovely stop over at the Hidden Creek Camping ground. Had the place to ourselves. Our site was nice and flat situated under the gum trees. They are in the process of making a lagoon, which will make it even better to be able to cool off in the summer.
