6.3km from Childers · 7 sites · Tents, RVsWe are thrilled to welcome guests to our farm, home to our gorgeous Scottish Highland cattle—or as the Scottish say, "HeiIen Coos"! These majestic creatures are a joy to watch, whether they are doing zoomies across the yard, soaking in the dam, or lazily chilling under a shady tree.
Follow our journey and stay updated on Facebook: The new Gumtree Dam Highlands page.
Just by booking a patch of grass—you're securing front-row seats to live alongside our magnificent Scottish Highland cattle in a peaceful, spacious setting.
Your pets are very welcome! We have three friendly, working dogs on the property: Jesse, Cane, and Chevy. Cane is a Maremma—an ancient Italian livestock guardian breed—who watches over the farm at night. And Chevy is learning the ropes. Protecting our animals is their job, and they take it very seriously; when Cane alerts to wild dogs or foxes, the others will sometimes join in barking to back him up. Along with the usual sounds of country life, it’s all part of the authentic working farm experience!
Relax, Unwind & Connect with Nature
Put on some music and enjoy a few drinks by the campfire, sink into a good book, or take a peaceful bushwalk accompanied by the laugh of kookaburras. Keep an eye out for sea eagles, pelicans, wild budgies, and rainbow lorikeets. We want our farm to be a sanctuary where both our animals and guests feel safe and relaxed, so while relaxing vibes are encouraged, we do not accommodate noisy parties. All your cares will feel a million miles away—we guarantee an amazing experience!
Just 6 km away in historic Childers, you'll find a Woolworths, IGA, great lunch pubs, cafes, bakeries, a swimming pool, historical museum, and Snakes Down Under Reptile Park. Beautiful Woodgate Beach is also just a short 25-minute drive away.
We have firewood and gift shop, please bring cash.
To keep our animals calm, please move gently around all livestock. Kids are welcome to bring bikes, we also have some they can borrow but must be supervised at all times with no running or screaming near the cattle.
