Great spot for a few nights. Great host that greet you on arrival and then pretty much leave you alone to do your thing. Lots of animal to give some amusement. Hope they can get the issues sorted out with council. Will take the grandkids with us next time.

We loved camping at Camp Billabong - Spot 2. We were the only campers for the weekend. The only note I have is if you need to camp on a more level spot, choose camp 1. However, camp 2 is still accessible and easy to set up camp.

Wow, what an amazing property!! Greated by Guy the owner who set us up with a beautiful camp spot. Brought down fire wood and a fire pit for us and made us feel right at home! We were greeted in the morning by a heap of chickens, goats, horses and Lamas! What a place to stay at, we will be back! AMAZING EXPERIENCE Thanks Guy

Moreten bay Ashgrove was a great place to spend a few nights with the fam and doggo. Plenty of animals to interact with due to Guy and the fam taking in rescues. The view over the farm in the morning is great to wake up too. Instructions of where to camp and explore the property were great and last minute request for firewood was met with a prompt reply. Guy was friendly and very helpful and made us feel welcome. Interacting with Guy, his family and his animals was a highlight of our stay. There is one shower, which has great pressure and lovely hot water. It was handy being able to pop to town less than 10mins away to get a few things. Make sure you select ‘directions’ in your booking to open maps via the Hipcamp app for accurate navigation - there’s a quirk where entering the street address will take you to a property down the road. I didn’t realise that Curtain Fig Drive is a large area with multiple sites. Other areas on the property may be more private than Curtain Fig Drive at busy times like long weekends. However we still had a great time and would highly recommend this stay. Thanks Guy! :)

Great views and a friendly host. Bird life, a waterfall and the odd kangaroo. Would highly recommend a stay. About 30min out from Lismore. No Optus reception, but camp WiFi is available.

4 nights at One Tree Hill

We loved Curtain Fig Drive. It was a magical family site. The actual caravan sites (we have a 24ft caravan) was so easy to park. We even stayed attached to the car for convenience. We paid for a feed bucket and fed the many animals and it was a blast. Our granddaughter came one of the days and help feed. She fed and petted the horses. She loved it. We also walked down to the pretty creek and of course, she again had to paddle. Guy, his wife and all his kids were wonderful. So friendly and helpful. The toilet and shower block is always clean. The only thing I would recommend is contacting Guy before you arrive. You really need to listen to the instructions of the address location. It is a little tricky. But if you do as he tells you it is simple. We give Curtains Fig Drive 5 stars.

Weekend Trip to OZ SKY RANCH

Our first experience at Oz Sky Ranch was really positive. Lisa is so genuine and friendly even with so many campers over a long weekend. The facilities were clean and the availability of port-a-loos was great. We had a double site suitable for two camper trailers and it was a perfect size. The grass was mowed, flat and green and while there were other campers around us, the use of bush and trees to separate camp sites was great. At first we thought the use of their wood was a bit much however being hardwood it lasted a lot longer than the usual bags you get from the side of the road and the one wheel barrow load lasted us two nights with some leftover. The surrounds were so beautiful, it is a lovely place around the lake and great that it is only a 10min drive to Mt Tamborine and 15min drive to Canungra. A great location for a weekend away. Thanks Lisa, we will definitely be back!

We camped by the fig tree. It was such a beautiful area and very private from the others staying! The host was amazing and very accommodating to helping find a perfect spot. The property is absolutely breathtaking!

Please keep in mind that this is a 'Farm Stay', you will be camping on a working property which is also our big back yard. Your privacy is assured, however, if you are looking for total seclusion, this may not be the Hipcamp property for you. Supermarket, bottle shop, takeaways, cafe and pharmacy less that 4 km away. Campfires are permitted. Firewood is available as an 'extra' for $20, if you would like a bundle please amend your booking to include firewood. Power (10amp 0nly) and water is available close to your campsite, but you must bring your own camping toilet. Daily water usage is included in your booking fee. Long range water tank fill ups incur a one off extra fee of $10, please include this in your booking under extras. We are friendly hosts who will respect your privacy and welcome your children to participate in farmyard feeding times and egg collecting (less eggs in winter). Our geese and ducks and chickens are hand reared so they are not aggressive at all 😃 We have two Sausage dogs, Ockie and Arlo. Ockie especially likes to visit campers, Arlo is a little less social but she may visit if she musters up the courage. This is their home so if you aren't doggy people perhaps this isn't the campsite for you. Please keep your food and rubbish up high so the doggos and other critters don't help themselves. Horse riding lessons are available by prior arrangement. Please give 7 days notice prior to your stay should you wish to book a riding lesson. Amaroo Mountain Refuge

Amaroo also known to some long time visitors as Snake Valley, is situated on a massive property and backs onto the Toonumbar National park. The property sits at the top of a 2.7km dirt road to the top of a small mountain with incredible views of Mount Lindsay and Mount Barney. The owner (my dad) has spent over 30 years bringing the land back from blade glass to the early stages of rainforest through native seed propagation and bush regeneration. After decades of keeping the land free from domestic and commercial animals, the native wildlife has had come back in abundance and is thriving. Depending on the time of year you could see any number of wallabies, goannas, and echidnas, to countless varieties of birds and butterflies, small marsupials, koalas, micro bats, snakes, and even a few lone dingoes have been spotted from a distance during duck breeding season. Therefore we don’t allow dogs or cats to be brought onto the property. Pitch your tent, or pull up your situation either on level gravel or in a grassy zone however close or far from the communal zone as you wish. The communal zone is made up of a shack with a kitchen sink and a BBQ (BYO BBQ gas or you will need to request as an extra), there is tank water and lights all running off solar, a big long bench table and stools for preparing food, underneath the pagola of this open shack is an indoor fireplace. 50m from the shack connected by gravel paths and garden beds is the hot gas shower and composting toilet, each in their own enclosed dwellings with lights. From the shack and where you camp you will have the best views of the mountains. You will be 100m-ish from the top main dam where you can swim (we just ask that you don’t remove the fish, yabbies or turtles from their homes). The level below the shack is the main house where the property owner lives, and the level below that is the motocross tracks. There are walking and bike paths down to the motocross tracks that avoid going past the main house, if you are riding or just want to go for a walk. PLS NOTE you may be around other people during your stay at Amaroo. There is a small community of motorcross riders that access the private tracks and sometimes camp. If you wish to have the campsite to yourself please msg us before booking to make sure it will be exclusive. Most of the time this property is peaceful and filled with noises of birds and tree breeze, but there are occasions where the tracks will be in use. Motorbikes can get noisy!

This 6-acre property is located on the outskirts of the beautiful Burringbar Village. There are 4 campsites available, 3 are located in the creek paddock and 1 in the Orchard. The village is an easy walk, ride, or drive away (just over 1 km). Great location for camping and enjoying nature. Loads of birdlife and if you are lucky enough, you might get a glimpse of a platypus in the creek. The Northern Rivers Rail Trail is nearby and is great for walking and bike riding. Wooyung and Pottsville Beaches are less than 15 minute's drive. The townships of Murwillumbah and Brunswick Heads are also only 15 minute's drive away. The village of Burringbar is only 30 minutes from Byron Bay and or the Gold Coast. In the village itself there are options for food, drink and entertainment, with a General store, Post office, Thai restaurant, Natural Wine Shop, Coffee Shops, Pharmacy, Butcher, Cheese factory, and Sports Club . The Scrub on Lynchs

Welcome To The Beautiful Scrub. We are a 200 acre working cattle property with a Simmental cattle Stud and Endurance Arabians. The property is situated at the base of MT Lion and on Lynchs creek which flows from the rainforest. There are great hiking tracks along the creek which lead you to fishing holes and swimming holes. You can also hike our property to see Border view camp spot which has beautiful and amazing views of the Border Rangers, you can see Lynchs ck and Warrazambil ck falls in the distance ,you can also look down the valley towards Kyogle and surrounds.There is also an abundance of wildlife on the hike Koala's are often about if you look up for them usually early morning or late afternoon. You will also come across our beautiful Simmental cattle on the hike they are very quite. There is also Fern gully picnic spot on the hike which is a great spot to relax or do some morning yoga at the small waterfall . Children will also find fairy homes. .Fern Gully is a very tranquil. There is a 1km of creek to explore with great fishing spots you can catch Perch ,Cat fish Mullet ,and Carp. The creek is lots of fun to kayak on. There is plenty of creek to paddle and Awesome rapids to challenge yourself. And one of our favourite things to do is fossicking you can find Quartz, Citrine and Jasper.. The Village of Wiangaree is just 4klm from the camp grounds they have great coffee and hot food and also do Friday night meals. And in walking distance of 200 meters is Ferndale Pantry which sells sourdough, eggs, chutneys, cakes and more. We are also a 10klm drive to to the Border Rangers National Park. The Campgrounds are beautifully and are situated on the creek. There are 5 spacious dispersed sites . There are fire pits available and fire wood is available for $20 a wheelbarrow full, just ask on arrival. Rubbish must be taken with you when you leave. There is no toilet, you must bring your own toilet and take home all waste. Bush toilet is not acceptable. Wiangaree have Public toilets. And no potable water. Enjoy your stay at the beautiful Scrub. Nestled in the foothills of the iconic Mount Warning (Woollumbin), the campsite is also just across the road from Doon Doon Creek which boast constantly running, clear water for swimming etc. The campsite is LARGE and PRIVATE on a section of the 300 acre working farm which has cattle and a friendly dog named Wal. Campers are welcome to explore the many walking tracks on the property as well as the bordering national park. Just 500 metres from Clarrie Hall Dam, spend your days picnicking and paddling amongst the stunning scenery. The dam is stocked with Australian Bass for a fun day's fishing. Take a 5 minute drive to Uki a township where you will find an abundance of arts and crafts, weekend markets and a host of alternative/natural therapy practitioners. You'll reach the larger town of Murwillumbah in just 15 minutes and the famous Byron Bay in under an hour. Uki also boasts one of the best pubs in Australia and Nicko will pick you up and drop you off in the courtesy bus if required. Explore the nearby Northern Rivers Rail Trail - 24km of trail through working farms, lush rainforest, wide bridges and original train tunnels.
