The property is traversed by a number of rain forested creeks and ravines which are perfect for adventure hiking and rock climbing. We can also take you horse riding around the farm for a couple of hours or to the local winery if you prefer longer ride. We cater for all levels of riding. We have many panoramic campsites for you to choose from. These are suited to any one with the swag, tent, camper, caravan or motorhome. You need to be self sufficient. For those liking the comforts of home we have a bunkhouse which sleeps 10 and has electricity, water, flush toilet, shower, stove, microwave and TV. Linen is not supplied. If you are driving 2wd, or 4wd towing a caravan or a big trailer and GPS takes you through Mountain View rd., do not go that way, go through Dayboro rd. For those without transport Dakabin train station is 25 min from the farm. Pick up and drop off to the station can be arranged. There is a wide variety of shops and restaurants less than 10 min away.

Our 1km private driveway is rough but if driven to conditions a 2wd has no issues. I have a 2wd and drive in and out multiple times per day. Most of the time space is abundant however if choosing to come on a long weekend, Easter or New Years expect it to be a lot busier than your average weekend with larger groups camping together, however still plenty of space between groups. You won’t ever have to trip over your neighbours tent ropes here. Eco friendly lakefront and near to lake front sites. Please don’t arrive expecting lakefront, our sites are all near to and Depending on group size not everyone will have lake frontage. We can never guarantee requests. We assign sites based on numbers and camping equipment. Furtherest camp spot is approximately 500m from amenities block, however porta loos are located in the remote site but it’s a walk or drive back to the showers. Flushing toilets and 2 hot showers available in main area. Please note: toilet cartridges are not to be emptied into our toilets. Please note if you’re wanting a function the price is $5500 which gives you sole use of the property up to 70 campers. It is surrounded by State Forest and offers some great bushwalks. We have some flat areas, perfect for camping, and then plenty of terraced or hilly areas to explore, with some spectacular views out over the Sunshine Coast. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. Dog friendly. There is tank water but we'd advise you to bring your own. Access is via a gravel road. Due to recent weather events, an SUV or 4WD vehicle is required to access the property. Ok for caravans (flat area on entry to property) but you'd need a 4WD for the hill site turn around area. Please do not follow the GPS to get to old Caloundra Rd, come off Steve Irwin Way to access the property.

There is plenty to do and see in the area including exploring nearby Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, Gardeners Falls, Kondalilla National Park, Australia Zoo, indulge in a tasting at the Barrel at Clouds Vineyard opposite the front gate, stroll through Maleny Botanic Gardens & Bird World or take a short drive to some of Australia’s most beautiful beaches. Access during daylight hours via 4WD ONLY with off-road tyres. Off-road camper trailers are suitable for some campsites (weight and length restrictions apply) however caravans are not suitable due to the steep terrain. A portaloo is within walking distance to some campsites, otherwise your camp MUST be self-contained. Riverdell is dog friendly, off leash if trained, and recommend tick treatment before arrival. .For safety, no arrivals after dark unless arranged prior.

We are located in the middle of the Glass House Mountains with wonderful views of Mt Coonowrin. It is a great spot for scenic photography, a base to explore the many hikes and climbs from in the surrounding National Parks. This site is located in the middle of the Glass House Mountains with wonderful views of Mt Coonowrin. Note: This site does not have any toilet or shower facilities so you will need to be a self-contained camper and bring your own. You can bring your own firewood from local service stations or other sources to be used in the firepit. Bring your hiking gear, your mountain bike and definitely bring your camera as the views are stellar. The craggy peaks of the Glass House Mountains tower above the surrounding landscape. They are so significant that they are listed on the Queensland and National Heritage Register as a landscape of national significance. Walking tracks lead through a variety of open forests to lookouts with panoramic views of the mountains. Some tracks are suitable for all levels of fitness and others include more challenging grades including rock scrambling skills. There are other challenging summit routes and climbing sites for experienced rockclimbers and abseilers. Or you might want to pull up a hammock and just laze the day away.

We are located along the Yabba Creek just west of Imbil. Only 3km past Imbil township and 10km to Borumba Dam. Our property boast exquisite views of the Yabba creek bordering Mount Granger and forestry as our backdrop. We have deep swimming holes as well as shallow areas for the little ones. Camps are spaced out along a manicured 300m creek frontage. There is a total of 1km creek frontage on Yabba Creek Farm for your to explore. Attractions include kayaking (limited number provided) fishing, bush walking and wildlife watching. Platypus are frequently sighted in the Yabba creek. Lungfish can also be viewed while kayaking or snorkelling. Koalas, wallabies, gonnas and an abundance of bird life are also commonly sighted. Dogs are welcome on very strict conditions as we have farm animals including lambs, chickens and foals, so must remain secure on a leash at all times. Dogs with hunting or chasing nature are not welcome for the safety of our animals and wildlife. One toilet available. Cleaned daily. BYO if you wish to camp further away from main area. Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided. Weekends we provide farm experiences for the kids with feeding and petting sheep, ponies, chickens and egg collecting (quite limited at this stage, but we are expanding). Bring your push bike and tour the farm trails or further into the neighbouring Imbil Forestry.

Hunchy Hills 4WD Bush Camping

Formally a banana & pineapple plantation, Hunchy Hills is strictly 4WD only access property. We offer two types of camping; bush sites and a Camping Pod. There is a toilet and gas hot shower included. If you have a camper trailer it needs to be off-road/high clearance and you need to be experienced in towing off road. We cannot accept caravans/hybrids of any size or type. Sites 1-3 are large level pads approx. 12M by 12M, each with their own fire pit (please do not damage or move the bricks) and log seat. Site 4 is perched on the side of the hill and 6M by 6M in size. Suitable for vehicle based campers/swags/small tents with a sense of adventure and best with max 2 people. We have a backup spot too if access is too difficult. Pets (on leash) are welcome, please ensure you pick up after them. Number of guests for bookings is for total adults (16 and over). Kids (15 and under) are free and are not counted in the maximum number of guests. Firewood is sold at the check-in via an honesty box. $20 per bag (22kgs approx.) or add on to your booking for $22ea. Travel down the gravel road for about half a km and pop out through a tree tunnel to a secluded 2 acre cleared grassy paddock where the toilet & sites 1-3 are situated. Site 4 is on top of a small hill separate to the main camping area. The Pod is in its own cleared paddock, looking out to bush. Site 1 is in shade in winter and partial sun in summer. Site 2 is in shade in the morning and afternoon sun all seasons. Site 3 is in morning sun and shade in the afternoon all seasons. Site 4 is in morning sun and shade in the afternoon all seasons. Go fishing at Baroon Pocket Dam and have a swim at Obi Obi Creek or Kondalilla. If you're after some saltwater it's a 30 min drive to most beaches on the coast.
