The campsite is situated on the beach, sheltered by the sheoaks in the back dunes. At the rear of the campsite lies a freshwater lagoon, locally known as the keyholes.
Currently, there are four sites available to be booked. There is a camp kitchen with a two gas burner, all pots and pans, plates and cutlery with table and chairs to sit at. There is also a big esky there to use for either your food or drinks. Fresh water is provided in twenty litre drums.
The bush shower works on the keg being heated up just like a kettle. Once it is hot then a nice warm shower is to be had to wash off all the salt from the ocean. There is also two compost toilets for your convenience.
A unique feature includes the opportunity for surfing, fishing, and swimming in your private lagoon. A short drive will take you to Point Lookout. 10 minutes and you are at the pub mixing with the locals.
Access is via the beach only and tides are a consideration. Please check "Point Lookout tides" on Willy Weather. I don't normally travel on the beach if the tide is over 1.5 metres.
A 4 wheel drive vehicle is required. Camper trailers can be brought in as they are light. Caravans are not permitted due to the tight turning circles.

💧 Water from our bore, we use this for drinking 9.5 alcaline. We turn the bore on Mon, Wed, Friday. We do have a kitchen tank for small amounts.

Because this is self-contained camping, guests must bring:
Your own van, camper, roof-top tent, or trailer
Your own toilet (chemical or composting) we do have thunder boxes available however you will need to deal with the waste
Your own shower setup
All cooking equipment
Waste removal bags (you must take ALL rubbish with you)
Animals: we have free range chickens and ducks, wild Kangaroos. A cat must have a bell. A dog you must have on lead at all times.
Fire pit is provided, only 2 meter fires are permitted and only when we do not have an active fire ban.

Great location. Close to everything at Mount Tambourine and the local Tavern. Very quiet and we had a nice outlook up to Mount Tambourine. Kezza was a great host who was more than happy to show us around their Moringa plants and what they can be used for. We had never heard of this plant prior to our stay.

Recently spent a few days camping at McKenzie Creek and had a great experience. The toilets and showers were absolutely lovely and very clean. Jess came down to introduce herself, such a friendly and welcoming lady.
It was also great that our little dog could roam around, which made the stay even more enjoyable. We couldn’t fault anything. The site is private, well established, and very well maintained.
Highly recommended, we’ll definitely be back!

We loved our stay at McKenzie's Creek, it is in a pretty spot located in a secluded gully.
The very clean toilet & shower, along with access to power are an added bonus which provide guests with a bit of comfort.
We loved the bird and wildlife. The fire pit was very handy, especially for toasting our jaffles.
The single site is very spacious, level, and with great turning room which can accommodate Caravans.
With Dayboro only a short drive away, for extra shopping needs, a sneaky beer at the local pub or a delicious meal in one of Dayboro's cafes, McKenzie's Creek is well located and we would recommend a stay at this special part of the world.

Nice quiet camp with lots of trees and a good view of the stars at nighttime.
My site had grass which is always a bonus.
Close to neighbours but they were very friendly and kind, even helped me set up as I got there late and offered to lend their spare firepit to me.
Short drive to Mt Tamborine so you can go check out activities there during the day and restaurants/groceries are not far away.
Kezza was a great host, we had a good chat while feeding the ducks and chooks.
I was late because of bad traffic and had a surprise guest and she was understanding.
Good place for dogs, there were a few on the property and all were well behaved.
I would visit again, thanks Kezza 🙂.

Amazingly beautiful down to earth, accommodating host Kezza, the powered site was absolutely perfect for us as we were transitioning from tent camping to trying out our first caravan, amazing time with family kids didn’t want to leave. Would highly recommend this for someone chasing a quiet serene atmosphere.

Beautiful, peaceful campsites. Close to the beach, not far to go if you need to go to the shops but far enough away from the crowds. Lovely fresh water dam to swim in. Paddle boards and life vest available to use. Communal camp kitchen, showers and drop toilets also on-site. Mark was very welcoming, meeting us at the entry point to camp. We will be back!!

We were a family of 4 camping with another family of 4 with 2 dogs.
We had a great spot, one dune back from the beach. It was very private and peaceful. We loved the lake and use of canoes. We especially loved the use of the hot shower at the end of the day. Mark explained his eco site and vision for the future which really appealed to us.
We had a toilet near by with beach views. It is a basic setup where you need to empty and replace buckets which we didn’t mind (and thanks for the chocolate block Mark).
I would totally recommend this campsite if you want to get off the grid and help with the regeneration of the bush, be close to the beach and a freshwater lake.
It will definitely be on our list to come back.

Really lovely secluded spot close enough to travel to Dayboro for supplies, but it feels far enough away to relax immediately on arrival. We stayed with another two vans and a rooftop camper setup and there was plenty of space in the middle for games during the day and a firepit at night. The addition of a toilet and a hot shower made it a comfortable stay for everyone.

We absolutely loved camping at Kezza & Dave's land. We ended up being at the powered site by the tank, site 5, which was great as it was quiet and private. Kezza & Dave were fantastic and always available if we needed anything. Kezza took us on a farm tour and we learnt so much, this was a highlight of our trip. They also had the kindest dog, Marley, who always stopped in for a daily visit. Even though it was just my husband and I we couldn't help but cook enough food for 3, as Marley is just the sweetest and enjoyed Hubbys bbq meat. Was thankful that we had bug spray as the mozzies were relentless, but that's the normal with bush camping. Overall 10/10 and will definitely be back. Thanks Kezza & Dave for being amazing!

We had a great time staying on Kezza's farm. Kezza and Dave were kind and communicative, It was quiet and peaceful, our kids enjoyed seeing cows, sheeps, horses (on the neighboring lot) and lots of kangarooes. Kezza gave us a tour of the farm, teaching about the farm's produce. The location is excellenct, close to thunderbird park and the rainforest walk.

A fantastic camping experience. The farm tour was informative, educational and fun. Kez is a great host who’s happy to share her knowledge of plants , tea and herbs.
The kids love the tractor tour and the duck feeding. The eggs we bought were delicious and it was great to forage for our own herbs and teas. Lots of accessible firewood around the site. A fantastic weekend., we’ll be back. Thank you.
