Access to campsite passes our school so please drive very slowly if your accessing campsite during school hours. Children under 6 stay for free. Do not include them at time of booking. Please read all information, rule and directions (provided once you have a confirmed booking)

Crystal Creek Campsite is a large camp area with private access to the creek. Large area with plenty of shade. Dog friendly (on a lead). Campers MUST provide car registration details at time of booking. Campers will have access to our toilet facilities throughout their stay. This is a privately run camp (Operated by Mungulla Station). It is not part of the National Park. Close walk to natural swimming pools which are absolutely picturesque. We offer large shady spots with a few BBQ's, fire pits and amenities. Access to campsite passes our school so please drive very slowly if your accessing campsite during school hours. Children under 6 stay for FREE. Do not include them at time of booking. Please read all information, rule and directions (provided once you have a confirmed booking) carefully before contacting your host. We have done out best to provide all the information for you so messages should not be required.

Love camping at Crystal Creek however the last 2 times we have been out has been horrible. There is a rooster out there now and it starts crowing at about 2am every morning and does not stop. The whole camp ground was awake. I will not be going back unless the rooster is gone. I camp out there for the peace and quiet not to listen to a bloody rooster all night.

If your after green grass I do not recommend. It’s dry as a bone and looks nothing like the pictures. It’s also situated right on the main road which ruins the whole vibe. We booked 2 and only stayed the 1. Definitely wouldn’t come back.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It’s a lovely spot with good, clean amenities. Just something to be aware of if you’re not a fan of a 2am alarm with no snooze button - there are a few roosters that call the grounds home.. Other than that, we had a great stay and would happily come back.

Nice and clean amenities the only problem we had was the bloody 🐓 rooster. It woke the whole camp up at 3am and did not shut up till sunrise.

Title: Fantastic facilities and great host, but bring your earplugs! We had a mixed experience during our stay. On the positive side, the facilities were absolutely fantastic and everything we needed was provided. Our host was also wonderful—when the water supply unexpectedly turned off, they came and fixed it straight away without any hesitation, which we highly appreciated. However, our stay was unfortunately impacted by three roosters on the property. They started crowing loudly at 3:00 AM every morning, which severely disrupted our sleep. If you are a heavy sleeper or don't mind an incredibly early wake-up call, this place is great, but light sleepers may find it difficult to get a good night's rest. I will definitely come back if these roosters are relocated.

It is a splendid place for a night away from Townsville. Creek is beautiful and there are some secluded spots for a bit of privacy would recommend :)

Laid back and quiet. Very dry at the moment but no mozzies!! Great that it's dog friendly! Paid for Power but liked the unpowered sites better so stayed at that instead. If you want a peaceful spot this is it!!

Booked a powered site for first trip out in (new to me) teardrop Lovely spot, nice flat park up area, lovely shaded area to walk dog, beautiful river, kayak in place to use if wanted. Amenities nice and close to site,

It was a nice quiet spot to camp, went dor a swim in the creek by the camp site which was nice and refreshing. Price seemed a bit steep for what you get though. Lots of mozzies too.

Stayed for 2 nights. Were only 4 other campers so heaps of room as we were all spread out. Facilities were ok. Showers were hot, flushing toilets but outdated and could've used a clean. For a private property, there seemed to be people using the showers of a night time that were clearly not campers or staying there. Beautiful creek, would love to see it after a decent rainfall.

The last time we went we felt the price was ok not great just ok. This time the price had gone up. But the cost is from Hipcamp we won't be going very often anymore as the cost is just getting out of hand.

It was a patch of grass by the side of a road, with a dirty toilet block, so I left a day short of my booking
