Great to swim in/ try your luck with a fishing rod, but NO JUMPING from the pontoon as water levels vary and submerged debris/ trees etc. (common sense swimming in dam and water sources.) The pontoon is perfect for evening sunsets (or a sneaky proposal, which has happened a few times already!) ** Please be very conscious of deciding to camp with children in close proximity to an open water source. Safety is our highest priority. The recent addition of our feature windmill makes for gorgeous photos and country feels. The campsite is bordered by seasonal crops. We also have Cattle that rotate through different paddocks on the property, depending on feed and crop cycles. (Not all guests will have cattle about sorry kiddies!) **Pets welcome, but to remain under STRICT supervision. The large campsite is located alongside our 14 acre dam with a pontoon and dam banks to explore. The site is flat and mowed, with easy access from the road for caravans. The dam is perfect to launch a SUP/ canoe out on, float around on floaties and spot some turtles or eels. Great to swim in/ try your luck with a fishing rod, but NO JUMPING from the pontoon as water levels vary and submerged debris/ trees etc. (common sense swimming in dam and water sources.) The pontoon is perfect for evening sunsets (or a sneaky proposal, which has happened a few times already!) ** Please be very conscious of deciding to camp with children in close proximity to an open water source. Safety is our highest priority. The recent addition of our feature windmill makes for gorgeous photos and country feels. The campsite is bordered by seasonal crops. We also have Cattle that rotate through different paddocks on the property, depending on feed and crop cycles. (Not all guests will have cattle about sorry kiddies!) **Pets welcome, but to remain under STRICT supervision. Such a beautiful location with fantastic views! The horses just added that extra farm stay touch and made you feel like such a part of nature. We were unlucky enough to get caught in some big storms but the property was so well maintained it didnt affect us at all and no issues getting the caravan in and out. It was very windy though so don't make the same mistake we did by putting the awning out if the weather isn't 100%! Overall very private and relaxing location and only 10 minutes out from Dayborough. Will definitely be back.

We camped with a party of 5 caravans / camper trailers at the quiet end of the lake, farthest from reception. Enough room for an even larger group. We were only a 300 metre walk from the main swimming hole. With lake frontage, shaded camp sites. A great weekend even with rainy weather. Will definitely come back to Bushywood!

Absolutely outstanding Hipcamp. The beautiful, peaceful setting and the use of Kayaks were much appreciated. One camper did use a generator, but let us know that his van had lost power and was being remotely repaired; we were offered the opportunity to plug in. It wasn't noisy, allowing us to recharge our own batteries. Would highly recommend the Hipcamp. Thanks Mitch and Holly for allowing us to return and enjoy your property once again.

Lovely spot to camp. They found us a perfect spot for our tent to be flat and with a fire pit. With enough space for privacy but still close enough to everything we needed like the toilets and showers which were very well kept. The lake was great to cool off and overall a beautiful camp site.
