In peaceful Mount Perry is a remote paradise, I call TAKAMUNA (house on the rise). • I have 70 acres of beautiful land which you can, bush walk, swim in the dam and enjoy a campfire (some wood provided). • You will need to be fully self-sufficient, there are no amenities. • Limited access to water, no power available (generators ok within reason). • Various sites to camp or unhitch a caravan. The property overlooks the glorious hills and valleys with a direct view of the Back of Mount Perry so it's time to unplug and chill! • Dogs are welcome but must remain on a lead. • We have cattle which graze freely throughout the property. • Your welcome to come up at feeding time (approx. 4pm) to help feed the sheep, goats pigs and chickens. (probably the cows). • Our front gate must be kept closed at all times, all other gates the rule is if it closed then close it after you. • We do have surveillance around the property. The land is beautiful, big open field with lots of places to camp. There is a small like you can fish in or sit out in a kayak and relax. We got lucky and had the whole area to ourselves but if you enjoy being around people and camp when others are there it seems like it’d be a lot of fun and not cramped at all. Jess the host was amazing, grows lots of exotic fruits and was very accommodating. 100% would recommend.

We found this little gem of a place. Viet Jess which is on Rosedale Road Avondale QLD Jess and staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed 3 nights in this most relaxing camp site Hanoi 2 right in front of the dam. There are free kayaks with life jackets supplied. You can fish and swim in the dam. There is a play ground for kids and an animal farm with chooks, ducks, geese, pigs and goats. There is also a huge veggie garden which you can help yourself to beautiful vegetables. Thank you to Jess and the boys for the iced coffee and tea along with the melon soup that they made on our last night, absolutely delicious. There are no toilet or showers however we were self contained in our caravan. Everyone do yourself a favour and come and support Jess at her little hobby farm which has only been open about 3 months. Plus we had a great meal good prices at the Avondale Tavern which is only 3 ks from Viet Jess hobby farm .

Very quiet lovely open rolling green fields, lots of flat areas, the dam was lovely and warm for swimming or kayaking and the river walk on the river side was very pretty. Internet service was very hit and miss couldn't monitor the storm activity
