Jodie’s land was in a super convenient location, making it easy to get to and a great base for exploring the area. The price was incredibly affordable—great value for money! One of the best parts was getting a huge load of firewood for just $25, which kept us warm and made for a perfect campfire experience. Jodie was also a very friendly and welcoming host, which made the stay even better. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Lookout site during the NSW rain event. Would have loved to have had some decent weather, as the site is well located beside the creek and private. The track in was fine, even after constant rain for days. We did however have 4x4 with low range and aired the tyres down on the car and our 14ft van.

Great location if you’re into paddle boarding, kayaking or fishing or like to be around a fantastic variety of birdlife. It’s only a 10min drive to fabulous beaches for swimming, surfing, beach walking and there’s even a great dog beach nearby. The communal veggie garden is wonderful and very generous. Our second time here and we’ll be back!

We were very lucky to have the area to ourselves so had a perfect afternoon in the outdoor bath with bubbles under the stars. The location is perfect for adventuring the national park like figure 8 pools and old train tunnels around stanwell park and helensbough. Couldn’t fault the facility everything was organised and work perfectly. We took our jayco eagle outback to the facility and was manageable to drive in but wouldn’t suggest anything bigger.

We had a lovely 3 day stay. Close enough to everything for us to have a good look around the area. Nice walk down to the creek. Vegetable garden a bonus. Nice and quiet. Our dog Ruby loved the open space. Would definitely stay again. Sue & John

2 nights at Nerrigundah Tuross River Camping

Was so nice to have this place all to ourselves we were a bit confused with working out that the hot water shower was the first toilet block you pass a of a walk from the campsite not the one at the camp kitchen. We also hired kayaks and bags of wood but we couldn’t work out what wood was ours or how to get access to the kayak so we sadly missed out. Perfect spot just maybe more detailing on the instructions , easy fix !!

I loved how much space Michele has at The Fishing Shed! So much room for the doggos to play. Having the shed was great to. Even though we weren't able to access the inside of the shed, the veranda and extra tables made food prep, storage and space very easy.

Kookaburra is a 20-acre farm located between Ulladulla and Nowra on the NSW South Coast, just under a three-hour drive from Sydney and Canberra. It offers a peaceful and authentic bush experience, ideal for a weekend getaway or an overnight stop, especially for those travelling through the Jervis Bay area. Please note: We are a peaceful, family-friendly site and do not accept group bookings under any circumstances. Each site allows one vehicle and one trailer/caravan per booking only. No additional vehicles, caravans, or trailers are permitted. If you’re unsure whether your setup complies, please contact Christine before booking. You can camp in an open paddock or relax under the shade of tree canopies. A short bushwalk will take you to a quiet creek, and the area is home to local wildlife, including kookaburras, wallabies, and secretive wombats. The farm also has a variety of animals, including cows, chickens, Elmo the horse, Warren the Sheep, and Phyllis the pig, who may greet you when you arrive. At Kookaburra, we ensure guests have plenty of space and privacy, though you may see other visitors in the area. We operate on a self-sufficient basis, so please take all your rubbish with you and respect the natural environment and the next visitors. Fires are allowed (subject to fire danger conditions), and you're welcome to gather your firewood. We have firewood for sale at the gate ($20). Pets are welcome but must be supervised around the farm animals and wildlife. Please note that phone reception is limited, so come prepared. While a 2wd vehicle is usually acceptable, adverse weather conditions may require a 4wd. Remember wombat holes, tree stumps, and snakes when exploring the property. When you stay at Sunset Point you have lake frontage onto Borang Lake ( 4km from Potato Point), which connects directly with the Tuross lakes. You are able to launch your own tinny at our private jetty. A firepit is provided and you can collect your own wood yourself, or purchase a $25 a wheel barrow load with your booking. Wildlife is plentiful here, so please respect the environment and clean up after your self. There are some amazing local beaches only minutes to Potato Point or down the back track 10 minute drive or, ride your pushie or walk (its a bit of a walk) - straight to Blackfellows Point at Potato Point. There are lovely walking tracks around the property and lots of fishing, kayaking, SUP or pop your Tinnie in and fish till sunset or just plain lazy days. Watch the sunrise or walk to the other side of the property and watch the sunset. Watching the moon rise on the lake is quite beautiful. Launch your tinny and go fishing or simply kayak or lazy around. The site is dog friendly, but your pet must be well behaved and not aggressive as there may be other campers and pets on the property during your stay and a Sunset Point Camp Cat. You may not be right next to each other but please respect other guests, with noise. Just 10 minutes from the charming village of Bodalla, which was founded on the back of dairy farming and cheese production back in the 1860s. 30 minutes drive either way to the hubs of Narooma and Moruya. No barking dogs and no loud music or parties. This is a peaceful getaway. Short car trip to famous beaches where you leave nothing but footprints. It's our secret!

100 acres of secluded paradise with a kilometer of free flowing pebbled creek. Bound on two sides by the craggy escarpments of the Budgong and Morton National Parks there is ample grassland to give a feeling of space yet an abundance of trees to wander through as you engage with the tame wildlife and magnificent birdlife. Bring your mountain bike, fishing rod, swimmers, hiking boots, tennis racket, basketball (a hoop on the tennis court) or climbing gear and leave the kids in the play area while you sit by the creek and listen to the water tumbling through the rocks. If you are as intrigued by rare animals as we are, then this is the place for you. 63 Bird species, 24 mammals, 16 reptiles, and 12 amphibians have been sighted in the area (Clarke 2012) and this includes many rare and endangered species including the platypus, brush-tailed rock wallaby, Giant burrowing frog, Gang-gang cockatoo, Glossy black-cockatoo, Koala, Little Lorikeet and the Yellow-bellied glider. We only have three campsites at present, so you will be guaranteed peace, space and privacy. with a minimum of 400m between all sites. Please note, that your group must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, however fresh drinking water is available. Access is into a valley on a well maintained unsealed road but there are some minor causeways making it unsuitable for busses. An ordinary sedan will do for Billabong and Dad's camp sites but you will need some power for towing and a 4x4 to tow out in any rain. Riverbend site is only suitable for 4x4's and off-road camp trailers. Misty Mountain Wildlife Refuge

Misty Mountain Wildlife Refuge is a 330 acre farm which provides sanctuary to kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, echidnas and many bird species including their habitats. There are Alpacas and Sheep, Kangaroos, Wombats, Kookaburras, Echidnas and many other animals that enjoy this property. The land has 80 acres of cleared grassland this side of the river, and for the adventurous and energetic you can rome the other 250 acres by crossing to the other side of the rive, there are large stands of rainforest and bushland, with 2.5 km of Brown Mountain Creek and its tributary meandering through it. There are some swimming holes and mini rapids; the crystal clear water flowing over the river rocks can be heard from most parts of the farm. The land comprises Little Brown Mountain and has 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains and farmland with wonderful cloud formations and mists contributing their mystery and beauty to the dramatic landscape. There is an orchard with trees producing several varieties of apple, stone fruit and citrus in abundance. A cottage garden produces various vegetables and herbs such as spinach, celery, potatoes, garlic, chives, lettuce, rocket, parsley, turmeric, peas, beans, tomato etc. Past bushfire damage to some trees in the cleared paddocks is evident however, many are recovering well and most provide photographers with interesting and dramatic subject matter. Due to the catastrophic events of the NSW bush fires in this area all camp fires must be kept responsibly safe and no unsafe camp fires will be tolerated. All Guests are required to have an acceptable camp toilet, no holes in the ground. All river access points are shared, be mindful of others. As dogs are welcome and even well behaved dogs will be dogs when it comes to their family, all guests are advised to make themselves known prior to going near another's camp site, then there is no surprises either way. There are horses you can pat and a few sheep that are very friendly and love to be given bread. The historic Bega Cheese Factory and Heritage Center is just a couple of minutes away. The main shopping center and mall in town is just a five-minute drive. On our property, we can offer you a relaxing quiet stay in a secure area.
