This spot suits groups who want to get away. We offer our property to people who want to get out of the congestion of Sydney and enjoy a peaceful getaway. Guests can enjoy large mowed areas for recreation, they have use of a large undercover hall, there is a great campfire area with some firewood provided ( extra can be collected). Guests have use of the 3 buildings in this area which are Hall area, BBQ kitchen and bathrooms. There is a designated area for pitching tents or camp trailers. Guests have direct access for swimming to Webbs Creek this area is a shared area. Camp Bunya is a private campsite for group bookings. We offer our site to guests who want privacy and seclusion, enjoy the great outdoors and choose to make a little extra noise without upsetting the neighbours. Water access for swimming is available at your own beach. Toilets and shower amenities are provided. There is no power or cooking facilities, however a BBQ can be provided for hire. The campsite features mowed areas for camping with a large undercover area with a fireplace.

Brightwater sits beside Olney State Forest and Kuluwan Flora Reserve. It is a 50-acre farm with a lovely spring-fed dam, with our nearby campsite. The site contains van parking, an open pavilion, an open deck by the stream, a fire pit, and a dunny. It is private and secluded, and with just one group staying at a time, you are guaranteed the space to yourselves. Please go straight ahead on Collins Ave and enter through the car entrance, NOT the truck entrance which is off to the right. If you come in the truck entrance I can't see you. There are many beautiful walking and bike trails in the area. Lots of wildlife to meet, including water dragons, wild ducks, and pythons, to name a few. There is also nearby evidence of the original occupants, the Darkinjung people. You are also welcome to bring a couple of horses! There's a safe paddock with a trough and nice trails in the area to explore. The Kulnura General Store and bottleshop is just 9km down the road for basic supplies.

Located at Bilpin, this beautiful campsite is nestled at the foot of the majestic Blue Mountains and backs onto Wollemi National Park. This magical 16 acres is abundant with wildlife and where you camp is the mouth to the beginning of some great hiking tracks in the National Park! There are a few great campsites to choose from- one at the top of the property (good for families/large groups up to approx 20) with good flat ground and surrounded by a lush forest. It's close to the road so it is easy access in and out, another two at the back with water views and one in the forest (If you have 4wd and portable loo we can give you an exclusive spot in the bottom of the golden gorge). Enjoy the sounds of the bubbling stream and see the sunset at the waterhole. Sit back and relax around the campfire whilst toasting a marshmallow or some damper. This campsite offers a unique heptagonal toilet (no shower yet but its on the way). Please ensure you're fully self sufficient with all other supplies (including water). From here you can explore the amazing Blue Mountain views, marvel at a magical glow worm dell, check out the 2 apple cider breweries and taste some of the region's delicious produce. Colo River is 30 mins away, a clear waterhole is 10 min drive ( 4wd only- hosts can transport if available), the mouth of a hiking trail to the National Park is on the property, the main township of Bilpin is close by with the baker, fruit and vege picking, Mountain Bells Cafe (host recommendation), apple pies galore and the restaurant , the markets are on Saturday morning 10-12 noon at the local hall and there is a free meditation group 9am Sunday at the monastery. With so much to do you will need more than one night or plan a return visit to the amazing Mountain Lagoon Hideaway at Bilpin! We can also offer massage and reiki treatments on site as a 'nature immersion' experience or if you prefer it can be in the privacy of a massage studio (10 mins away), guided nature and wildlife walks/sunset walks or longer hikes, professional ecology tours, fire twirling lessons or performance and African drumming lessons, games for the kids, local produce hampers, eggs and BBQS (with notice and if hosts are available). Please discuss with your hosts for further details and availability :) PLEASE ensure you read rules and safety as well as directions, because GPS will take you to the wrong property. The land is a nature retreat and developing animal rescue sanctuary so we love to share the space with respectful nature loving people :) Our motto is leave no trace. Markets are on once a month at St Albans and there is a quaint pub and cafe there open on weekends. Enjoy our infinity edge swimming pool and sit back around the outdoor campfire of an evening (unless total fire bans apply). There are composting toilets and cold showers available, however we are on tank water so keep them under 3 min please! Drinking water also available and BBQ facilities. Grassy area is gently sloped with pockets of flat areas and one large section flattened to fit 3-4 tents.

We really enjoyed our time at Willow’s wilderness! Phil and Lyndel are both great hosts, and very accomodating. The property is beautiful, and the camp site we had was great! Even after all the recent rain, the site is elevated up a small hill, so we didn’t have to trudge through the mud. Lots of wombat warrens! The drop toilet is in a really good spot too. We brought a lot of firewood with us, but we’re VERY grateful to Phil and Lyndel for proving more, as it was VERY chilly on the last night particularly (frost on the ground, and vehicles), but it makes it all the more fun! Thanks again to Phil and Lyndel, we hope to be back to visit soon!

Jim was a great host, accomodating and helpful. We stayed at Goblin Glen and it felt private and surrounded by trees. A perfect little spot, with a toilet nearby. A short drive away you can get to Morisset, and plenty of lovely bushwalks and picnic areas. Great for a little getaway without having to go too far from Sydney. Weekend Trip to Cobbers Rest
Cobbers really is restful. Nestled at the back of a beautiful bush lot, there is a lot of privacy by the creek. There is an alternate site for when cobbers is too wet after rain which is less private (can see main house) but still a pretty nice spot, but we were lucky enough to stay down by the creek, about 300m down a graded rd. Beautiful squiggly gums, nice flat site, a fire pit and a big bag of timber, situated right next to a flowing creek which you can drift off to at night. A tiny bit of highway noise is a semi goes past, but not really noticeable unless you listen for it. The site is large enough for a big group. Obviously, no utilities eg toilet. Going through the two gates to come to and fro was a little cumbersome but we were only a short stay. If longer, not so much use of the gates! I went with a mate but will be back with the family, for sure. You won’t regret staying at Cobbers. Highly recommend. Oh, and proximity to majestic Maddens Falls and Darkes cider / orchard is a massive draw card. See you soon, Cobber!

The campground itself has really good resources such as a little canteen, bathrooms with showers and firewood available. Lisa’s land was like a lovely green oasis. Quite beautiful really. Reasonably flat grassy areas. Would be great for a group or just on your own. Maybe a bit expensive considering there is no water or electricity to hook up to. We unfortunately were there during the floods that impacted NSW. So ground was a bit boggy in places. Other than that, a lovely quiet oasis to stay overnight in.

Our second stay here and loved it just as much as the first. We stayed up the top (orange) site because there had been heavy rains for days previous and was the most dry. The site is large with plenty of level ground along on the top. There was lots of firewood to collect but got a load added on as it was wet. The site was nice in between all the trees and more so with the site further down (green). There was a small amount of cars that went past on the road above but didn’t bother us as it’s just people going to and from their houses so not constant. There’s an easy walk with some up and down that leads off into the national park. We got to a point and turned back but I believe it goes on as far as you want. It’s was nice getting out in to the silence and listening to the birds and breeze through the trees Dannii and Adam were lovely and came over for a quick chat before we left on the Sunday. Lots of plans for the place to upgrade the sites but they have done so much already. On the way home (or there) you go through Bilpin so highly recommend grabbing an apple pie or some local honey. Lots of places to choose from.

Your camping/van area is supplied with red/bins. 2 Portaloos available or camping toilets. Dogs allowed but please let me know first. They will need to be on leash all the time and well behaved. Please pick up after them ANYWHERE they go toilet and also they must be vaccinated. No cats allowed. A campfire during permitted times is allowed but only in the fire pits. There is loads of dried kindling and small logs around the property otherwise please bring your own. All Sites have fire pits. Otford is a historic village in a valley between Sydney and Wollongong, and bounded by the Pacific ocean. Our private acreage backs onto the southern tip of the Royal National Park, so the outlook from the campsite is all leafy trees. Walk to lookouts over the ocean, hike down to the beach or a few minutes drive to dog friendly beaches. Our bathroom and kitchen facilities make it an easy experience for first time campers. We are well-behaved-dog-friendly BUT you must let us know in advance. Our access track to the camping sites has been repaired with a deep layer of asphalt but still best suited to 4WD. The majority of standard 2WD cars manage the track fine There is also the option of parking roadside, and walking in approx 300m to the sites. Please message us if unsure about your vehicle. IMPORTANT PLEASE READ 1. Please let us know if you are bringing a dog/dogs - we have horses, house dogs, chickens and; wildlife plus likely other campers close by, so need to be forewarned. Dogs must be on lead or contained at all times. 2. If you need to camp out of your 4WD RV (such as a roof top tent), please contact me before booking to ensure those two particular vehicle sites are still available :) and that your vehicle is suitable for our track. Maximum length is approx 5m. Please scroll through the photos to see our amenities and camping sites. 3. We limit the number of people staying at any one time, so weekends book up quickly. That said, due to Covid and weather, people often cancel at the last minute too, so if we are currently booked out, it's always worthile checking again closer to the date for any availability. Our property contains the first road in and out of Colo - the original road is supported by hand built dry rock walls some of which are over 3 m high. Often referred to as convict built, but more likely built by freemen who were former convicts.  The property housed the load master's residence who controlled the cargo boats that docked to collect the valley’s produce. This was then transported back down the Colo River which flows into the Hawkesbury river and leads to Broken Bay following the coastline down to Old Sydney Town. The beach diagonally across the river was landed upon by members of the First Fleet’s exploratory scouting party on the lookout for quality farm land - some of which is still in production today.  Our property is on the uppermost reach of freshwater but with tidal influence. This deep water allows swimming and canoeing all year round. Our property is adjacent to the only council built canoe launching facilities on the Colo River.

The property is 40 acres of beautiful bushland, backing on to the Olney State Forest. Camp on a grassy site overlooking the dam or nestled in amongst the trees. Pets allowed. Keep your dog on leash at your campsite and under supervision at all times. Clean up after your dog. Fire pits provided on each campsite. Do not dismantle fire pits. Campsites have no toilet or shower facilities, and no electrical connection. Please bring your own water. Dry organic firewood for sale $20 for 30kgs on request. Fresh free-range eggs for sale when available. Please respect our home and property and leave the campsite in the good condition you found it. The property is just 7kms from the M1 motorway (take the Morisset exit off the M1) and Morisset just 10kms away with shops and fuel. There is plenty to do in the Morisset area including visiting the pretty Gap Creek Falls in the Watagans National Park or kayaking around beautiful Lake Macquarie, Australia’s largest coastal saltwater lake. There are some great areas for hiking, bike riding, bird watching and more. Set on the western foreshore of Lake Macquarie, which has the bush in its backyard. Find a patch of shade for a picnic in Lake Macquarie State Conservation Area where you can spot kangaroos and other wildlife. The saltwater lake is a haven for sea turtles and dolphins and you might see sea eagles and kookaburras, too. Fern Gully is just 1.5 hours drive from Sydney! We look forward to meeting you.
