The Mountain Shack
A break in the bush
We have just returned from a wonderful weekend at the Mountain Shack. We were excited to get away from our busy lives and have no phone service or internet for a few days with our young kids. The kids loved watching old DVD's and playing board games and getting cozy by the fire. The shack is rustic but oooozing with charm. Its up in the bush and is not a 5* hotel. But if you are open to a new experience immersing yourself in nature add the Mountain Shack to your list. I can safely say I have never stayed somewhere that is built into a rock! Awesome. Thanks for having us Helen and Steve. We hope to return again soon.

The Mountain Shack
What a hidden gem! We had a great time relaxing by the fire, exploring the property, and just chilling in the cabin. Full of rustic charm and character. All your basic amenities on-site, even a warm comfy bed and hot shower. We have a rescue dog who can be reactive, this was the absolute perfect spot for him, no people, no dogs, no triggers (although there are some Roos down in the paddock as you drive in). Across the road a few hundred meters down is a beautiful swimming spot where you can put your paddle board in and go for a cruise down the river. All in all we had a 10/10 experience and can’t wait to become regulars. Thanks Helen and Steve for hosting us 😊
