Was a great location for a night away camping with the kids. Easy directions, close to kid friendly stops on the way (like Helensburgh for supplies, park and lunch), excellent location - plenty of space, wonderful creek and sweet firepit.
The kids loved playing in the creek, riding bikes down the hill to the campsite and checking out the wildlife (a friendly kangaroo paid us a visit in the morning). Won't lie there is some traffic noise but the occasional trucks braking is actually well drowned out by the running creek!

The site is very private, nice and spacious and in a lovely location. Melissa was a great host and the directions provided made the trip easy.
The fire pit was an awesome touch and the site held up well in very heavy rain.
The only slight negative is that you can hear the highway but can be drowned out with white noise and we did have leeches, which is not surprising given how much rain the area has had lately.

Beautiful peaceful spot for camping. Took out 4wd and a tent and it was perfect, easy access, lovely flat area, beautiful trees and a lovely little creek. Recommend.

What a wonderful place to stay, Mel was a fabulous host. So tranquil, directions were good but vague, we missed the turnoff so could do with a sign on the fence from the road possibly.
Otherwise such a lovely spot, nice little creek flowing next to our site. Easy access with our 14ft caravan and Triton, also had a Hyundai i load with no dramas. Overall we would come again. Good access to Wattamola falls Beach, Thirroul etc.

We had a fantastic stay at Cobber Rest Camp Area. The spot is beautifully private and incredibly tranquil — the perfect place to unwind and enjoy some peace and quiet away from the crowds. Everything was well maintained, with plenty of space and a relaxing natural setting. It’s a real hidden gem for anyone looking for a quiet, private camping experience. Highly recommend!

Wonderful campsite in close proximity to Princes Highway and Wollongong area. A true campsite amongst the trees it truly felt secluded and away from it all.
We stayed at site 2, a short drive on the property. No issues with overhanging trees or any obstructions and was easy to drive down and turn around.
Plenty of privacy and secluded from all else, the running creek is a joy to be beside.
Fit pit provided, BYO firewood.
Small slope to the site but not major or inconvenient.
Would easily return and would be suitable for small groups of 2 or 3 to make a enjoyable camping experience.

We really enjoyed our weekend at Cobbers Rest. It’s a large site with a couple of beautiful gum trees surrounded by vibrant bush vegetation and a creek nearby. Very quiet with great night sky too. Beaches are 10-15min drive. We’ll try to come again! Thank you Mel for your hard work to make this place what it is!

Beautiful location, loved listening to all the happy ducks and frogs. Appreciated Mel's guidance about where to camp to stay dry, and had a great time at her suggested local spots at the Glenbernie Orchard and Maddens Falls.

We love visiting Cobbers Rest! Mel the host really went above and beyond to make it a great stay. We enjoyed the local bush walks and the apple shack down the road (which have very yummy pies and cider). The site was flat and well maintained with lovely bushland surrounding. The kids enjoyed looking for frogs and watching the black cockatoos play in the trees near our site. It was such a beautiful place to relax in nature.

We really enjoyed our stay at Cobbers Rest. It was so calm under the lovely old gums with so much bird life and a visit from a few kangaroos. Mel was lovely and very helpful and the site was beautifully maintained. We stayed on the higher site for ease in our big triple bunk caravan but had a good look around at the creek site which was also beautiful bushland with the babbling creek and a lot of space. We've already booked our next stay 😀

I loved our time here, it was quiet, private and very clean. The view was great. The hostess was extremely helpful and responds extremely quick. I would recommend this place to anyone who is wanting a quiet place to camp.

Fabulous weather and lovely private bush outlook set a great place for camping just south of Sydney. Great location for children to play in a safe natural setting. Commutation from Mel was first rate. Ideal for a mini break close to Madden Falls and Glenbernie orchard.
