Our camp area is situated on Rowlands creek, offering 6 acres of creek flat with 3 waterholes.
There are plenty of activities to try around town, from bushwalking, exploring the Rail Trail in Murwillumbah and downhill mountain biking at the Uki Mountain Bike Park (Less then 8Km from our property).
The property is just
5km from the beautiful village of Uki. Uki is a place where community spirit hums. Village markets every Saturday selling local foods and crafts. The Old buttery offers ‘the Uki Buttery Bazaar Market’ on the 3rd Sunday of every month.
Don’t forget to pop into the Uki Trading Post (Bastion Lane) for the Best coffee in Australia. The Mt Warning Hotel situated in Uki Village also offers all meals as takeaways and a complementary curtesy bus running from Friday 5PM through to Sunday. Stock up on supplies at the village General Store.
Pet welcome on leash and under control. Campfires are permitted within local regulations.
We do have a bathtub’s on four sites. Campers should leave no trace.
We are a short drive from the beautiful Hell’s hole, Unicorn falls and Mavis Kitchens. Take a day trip to Byron Bay (50min) Brunswick Heads (40min) Mullumbimby (35min) Tyalgum (30min). 45mins from Gold Coast airport.

4. All waste must be bagged and taken off site with you.

Port Macquarie is known for its beautiful beaches, coastal scenery and walks, koala hospital, local strawberry and tomato picking, and 4WDing at nearby beaches and through Cairncross State Forest.
Bernard and Susan are custodians of the farm, primarily using the land for poultry (egg), pig, and goat farming. They are transitioning to an off-grid and eco-friendly lifestyle for their retirement.
The Hatch Farm is home to many animals, most of whom are rescues - including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, miniature horses, cows, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is plenty to do and see around the farm from complete relaxation, interacting with the friendly animals (there is usually a variety of babies to cuddle!), to casting a line or launching your boat from the rustic boat ramp. Please note that all animal interactions are self-led (including our animal nursery), and children must be supervised by their parents/carers. During NSW School Holidays, host led animal interactions will be available at designated times.

There are plenty of activities to try around town, from bushwalking, exploring the Rail Trail in Murwillumbah and downhill mountain biking at the Uki Mountain Bike Park (Less then 8Km from our property).
The property is just
5km from the beautiful village of Uki. Uki is a place where community spirit hums. Village markets every Saturday selling local foods and crafts. The Old buttery offers ‘the Uki Buttery Bazaar Market’ on the 3rd Sunday of every month.
Don’t forget to pop into the Uki Trading Post (Bastion Lane) for the Best coffee in Australia. The Mt Warning Hotel situated in Uki Village also offers all meals as takeaways and a complementary curtesy bus running from Friday 5PM through to Sunday. Stock up on supplies at the village General Store.

We do have a bathtub’s on four sites. Campers should leave no trace.

Bernard and Susan are custodians of the farm, primarily using the land for poultry (egg), pig, and goat farming. They are transitioning to an off-grid and eco-friendly lifestyle for their retirement.
The Hatch Farm is home to many animals, most of whom are rescues - including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, miniature horses, cows, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is plenty to do and see around the farm from complete relaxation, interacting with the friendly animals (there is usually a variety of babies to cuddle!), to casting a line or launching your boat from the rustic boat ramp. Please note that all animal interactions are self-led (including our animal nursery), and children must be supervised by their parents/carers. During NSW School Holidays, host led animal interactions will be available at designated times.

A beautiful, spacious, tree-lined property that’s very well maintained.
It’s not too far from the coast, yet it feels like you’re miles away from everything — peaceful and secluded in the best way.
The owner came down to say g’day and was very friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable.
I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet getaway where you’re not camping on top of other campers.

Great stay @ Rail Trail Retreat. Excellent location, close to NRRT and you don’t have to ride on any main roads. Power and water available. We felt comfortable and had privacy.

Great location right on the river. The sites are well spaced and no one site is better than the other. The caretaker (Justine) could not have been more friendly as was Glenn,the owner. Close to Yamba

We enjoyed our 1 night stay on the creek. We had a lovely dip near the causeway where it was a little deeper , and at night we saw catfish and an eel in the creek below our camp. We had the whole paddock to ourselves, away from other campers. The toilet was clean and well stocked with paper. Rowlands is a very relaxing environment to hang out in.

Awesome little camp ground. Our site (No.2) was on the river bank with a concrete slab, power and water. Clean amenities block and nice caretakers. Very quiet. Walked the 100 Mtrs to the club for dinner Friday night - cold beers and nice meals. Close to Brunswick Heads, Byron Bay and other northern rivers areas for day trips. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay at Jalum. Very cosy and well maintained property. Karen was great to deal with. The Horses and Alpaca were majestic. There is a young bull amongst the animals who we found to be inquisitive maybe as we were the only ones there. Was no trouble for the remainder of the stay though. Thx Karen

WOW!! Such a beautiful spot, so peaceful with an amazing sense of connection to nature. With cows, horses, bush turkeys and butterflies to keep us company. We chose the the far right camp which has easy access to the creek, shade, bathtub and a couple swings in the trees. We'll definitely be back.

Oasis of Hope is a great little site up the rain forest above Coffs Harbour and was a treat to find. Excellent, very clean shower and toilet facilities and a large communal BBQ area. I was concerned about the 10 volt power supply but Lars was very quick to provide me with an adaptor. A very peaceful spot so I slept soundly! If you want to stay off grid in fabulous surroundings, this is the place.

What a beautiful spot to spend a few days. Karen was lovely and let us know her fav spot to camp and it was perfect! The horses, alpaca and cows are as friendly as the reviews say. It was such a unique experience to have them come and visit every day. The kayaks were a lovely addition and easy to take into the lagoon for a paddle. Would definitely stay again

Group trip
The Riverside Farm Escape was lovely. we enjoyed swimming in the dam, the facilities (toilet and showers) were well kept and appreciated. Overall, it was a really fun time with my family!
The site is relatively close to the Pacific Hwy so it can be loud when sleeping for extra light sleepers like myself.
Highly recommend this beautiful farm. Richard and Roslyn were kind and communicative.
