Tamesis is a stunning wilderness property, nestled in the Wallingat State Forest with easy 2wd access direct from The Lakes Way. We have been lovers of the Great Lakes region for almost 30 years and are excited to share the magic of the area with you. We offer an affordable escape on our 27 acre property, close to some of the most beautiful beaches, lakes and native forests in Australia. Tamesis offers a fully contained caravan, with everything you need, including cooking facilities, fridge/freezer and an outdoor setting. This is the ultimate off-grid Glamping Experience. We also offer RV, Tent and roof top sites. All sites have partial views of the Beautiful Smiths Lake. Within minutes drive you have easy access (and boat ramps) to Myall, Smiths and Wallis Lakes, for many activities, fishing, surfing, diving, kayaking, snorkelling, Hiking, MTB, and so much more. Tamesis is just; 3 mins from Bungwhal store, fuel and café, 12 minutes to the beautiful Seal Rocks beaches and lighthouse, 8 mins from Neranie Campground and boat ramp. 10 mins to Blueys beach, and 30 mins to Forster. There's a hiking track on the proprety leading to spectacular views, a sunset spot on one of the highest points of the area. The track does have some steep slopes (not for the faint-hearted). Our sanctuary is an off-grid work in progress and is being developed to offer full-service, off-grid, eco-friendly lodge (with lots of magical spaces and tweaks). Come stay with us and enjoy the property as it evolves. Accommodating many travellers passing through and holiday makers wishing to enjoy this magical area. All campers need to be mostly self sufficient, we can provide limited tank water and run a generator for 2 hours a day for everyones charging / power requirements.
