The Hunter River is a short 5min walk down the stone steps, where you and your dogs can fish, swim or enjoy a cold can.

Our property is situated in the locality of Rosebrook, a fertile area steeped in a rich dairying history. We're only 10 minutes from Maitland and 25 minutes from the Vineyards, but the privacy of the camp site makes it feel like you're miles from anywhere. You've got direct access to the Hunter River with a sandy beach, great swimming holes and it's perfect for a peaceful kayak up or down stream, dependent on river levels at the time of your stay. Bring your own kayak or use ours for a small fee.
For those a bit more adventurous, we take you via road to our drop off point and you paddle downstream (a leisurely 3 hours) until you arrive at the beach near your campsite. There are heaps of places to stop and have some lunch and a swim on the way.
The site is a drive through level, grassy area and easily accessed by 2WD vehicle if you're not towing. For caravans and camper trailers, a 4WD is recommended but it's pretty easy going.
Pets are welcome, but MUST stay within the site paddock if not on a lead. Our neighbours have stock and it's important we are always respectful toward them.
A garbage bin and recycle bin is provided but you will need your own toilet. There is a designated area for a fire (when conditions permit) and we can supply firewood if required for a small fee.
We’ve kept things simple and natural because that’s the way we like it. It’s a true bush camp — plenty of space, plenty of privacy, and no fuss. We just ask that everyone who stays treats the place with respect and leaves it as they found it, so the next campers can enjoy it too.

The popular Broke and Pokolbin wine regions are a short 25-40 minute drive away in the opposite direction. Yengo National Park has some wonderful look out spots-great to drive to Finchley lookout to watch the sun set or check out Aboriginal art sites.

Located at Aberglasslyn, being on the outskirts of town without streetlights, it feels like you're miles away whereas we're only just over the hill from a shopping centre with a Chemist, Supermarket, Doctor, Vet and Café. A few minutes gets you into Maitland, 30 minutes to the Hunter Valley Vineyards at Lovedale/Pokolbin, 1hr to Newcastle, Nelson Bay and many of the glorious beaches on the east coast.
We are within the catchment area for courtesy buses to the local hotels and bowling club. The vineyard concert (Day On The Green, Red Hot Summer etc) buses pickup from one of these hotels.
You can access the Hunter River (approx 200m) for fishing, swimming or explore the river by kayaking the 11km into Maitland or the 21km downstream from Luskintyre. Pickup/delivery could be arranged with notice.
Ride a pushbike along the backroads exploring the area, following on the bike paths, Walka Waterworks, historical buildings and points of interest in Maitland.
It’s an easy 15 minute walk down the lane or back into the shopping centre.
Whilst we welcome your pets, we ask that they are on a leash as there is cattle, sheep, horses, chooks and birdlife around us. Please pickup after them!
Your own toilet is a necessity.

Our property is situated in the locality of Rosebrook, a fertile area steeped in a rich dairying history. We're only 10 minutes from Maitland and 25 minutes from the Vineyards, but the privacy of the camp site makes it feel like you're miles from anywhere. You've got direct access to the Hunter River with a sandy beach, great swimming holes and it's perfect for a peaceful kayak up or down stream, dependent on river levels at the time of your stay. Bring your own kayak or use ours for a small fee.
For those a bit more adventurous, we take you via road to our drop off point and you paddle downstream (a leisurely 3 hours) until you arrive at the beach near your campsite. There are heaps of places to stop and have some lunch and a swim on the way.
The site is a drive through level, grassy area and easily accessed by 2WD vehicle if you're not towing. For caravans and camper trailers, a 4WD is recommended but it's pretty easy going.
Pets are welcome, but MUST stay within the site paddock if not on a lead. Our neighbours have stock and it's important we are always respectful toward them.
A garbage bin and recycle bin is provided but you will need your own toilet. There is a designated area for a fire (when conditions permit) and we can supply firewood if required for a small fee.
We’ve kept things simple and natural because that’s the way we like it. It’s a true bush camp — plenty of space, plenty of privacy, and no fuss. We just ask that everyone who stays treats the place with respect and leaves it as they found it, so the next campers can enjoy it too.

Our property is the perfect place to camp. Sally and Brian invite you to enjoy camping on their beautiful property, surrounded by Yengo National Park and Crown land. Earthways is 134 ha (330 acre) property near Wollombi. All separate for your individual group- you won't see anyone else. Long weekends we have minimum numbers for the larger sites-we also have plenty of sites for 2 people. 25minutes from Wollombi or Broke. Come and enjoy the noises of the bush and the clear night skies with no close human neighbors. Great for couples, families or larger groups or just come alone to enjoy the bush.
We (Brian and Sally) have been re-vegetating the land and living here sustainably being “Off Grid” for over 45years, surrounded by bush with 3km of Stockyard creek meandering through the valley. HOT and dry summer so the creek is not flowing at present. We would love to share this paradise with those wanting to get away from wifi and the hustle and bustle of city life. (for emergencies we have satellite phone) Children under 4yrs are free. Dogs welcome but kept on a lead during the evening.
No leeches and No ticks in this area. NO close neighbors. Perfect spot to pitch your tent or set up your camper in the valley. Lots of sunshine and lots of shade. Easy dirt road access (6km) Some sites require/recommend 4WD -some 2WD is fine. Check with us before booking if needed.
Come and take advantage of the Wollombi Valley's beautiful scenery and atmosphere. Sit and relax or get adventurous and explore the area. The historic village of Wollombi is only 25 minutes away, and has cafes, shop, museum and the Wollombi Tavern. The popular Broke and Pokolbin wine regions are a short 25-40 minute drive away in the opposite direction. Yengo National Park has some wonderful look out spots-great to drive to Finchley lookout to watch the sun set or check out Aboriginal art sites.
No guarantee but...You may see wombats, kangaroos, echidnas, goanna's, kookaburras, bower birds, lyre birds, superb blue wren, gang gangs, black cockatoos and so many other native birds/creatures.
Stunning rock features, caves, diverse ecosystems with abundant native fauna and flora. We are situated in a valley. Each of our camp sites are for your own private space.

Set at the base of the mountains on a beautiful valley floor, located in wine country in the lower Hunter Valley, Cranky Rock gets its name from a 25 tonne sandstone rock that graces our home.
The 120 acre working beef and horse farm
is situated a scenic 2 hour drive North from Sydney or 1 hour East from
Newcastle.
Whether you chose to stay of one of our campsites or in our pioneer-style cottage, all visitor being awoken to the natural bush sounds of lyre birds and cooling their heels in the crystal creek at the bottom of the property.
On your way in or out, be sure to check out the boutique village of Wollombi which is just 10 minutes from Cranky Rock, where you'll enjoy wine tasting, fresh produce and quaint cafes. Other must-see's in the area include the Olney State Forest and the Wattagan National Park.
The property is located just off a scenic drive, over a 2wd accessible creek crossing. It
is peaceful and secluded. Campers can use a bush shower if needed but it’s reliant on rain water in the tank. Dogs are welcome, but as it's a working farm, we ask the remain on leash at all times.

Picture this. Your weekend escape is relaxed from the very start - the car trip along the scenic winding Putty Road is slow and leisurely as you know you can arrive at any time for the self serve check-in.
After signing in, you meander through this Beef Cattle farm, heading to your own designated camping area. A private corner of the property all to yourselves! 1hr drive from the nearest town (Singleton), "Chapman Valley" is the perfect oasis for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle. There are no nearby shops so be sure to bring everything with you. The property offers over 100kms of bush tracks ideal for walking, push-bike riding or 4WDing. The Communal camping area is within walking distance of our amenities block, which offers flushing porcelain toilets and a hot shower. Bush campsites are fully self-sufficient, BYO (bring your own) water and toileting system. All campers are required to take their rubbish home with them as there are no bins on site. Sites available for all vehicle types, from buses and large caravans to fully kitted out off-road vehicles.
We offer a self check-in service with full maps and directions, which means you can arrive anytime you like.
Free early check-in and late check-out: Check-in anytime from sunrise and check-out anytime before sunset so you can make the most of your getaway.

Hi and welcome to Vista 180.
Vista 180 is our little property situated on the outskirts of town, with 180-degree rural farmland vistas from East to West, that overlooks the Hunter River nearby.
If you're looking for somewhere in a rural setting that has flat to very gently sloping grass paddock areas to set up your tent, camper, caravan or motorhome then this is the place to stay. Our paddock has easy access for vehicles large or small, 2wd or 4wd, with all the conveniences offered in town nearby. Gaze over the farmlands, watch glorious sunrises, sunsets and checkout the stars!
Located at Aberglasslyn, being on the outskirts of town without streetlights, it feels like you're miles away whereas we're only just over the hill from a shopping centre with a Chemist, Supermarket, Doctor, Vet and Café. A few minutes gets you into Maitland, 30 minutes to the Hunter Valley Vineyards at Lovedale/Pokolbin, 1hr to Newcastle, Nelson Bay and many of the glorious beaches on the east coast.
We are within the catchment area for courtesy buses to the local hotels and bowling club. The vineyard concert (Day On The Green, Red Hot Summer etc) buses pickup from one of these hotels.
You can access the Hunter River (approx 200m) for fishing, swimming or explore the river by kayaking the 11km into Maitland or the 21km downstream from Luskintyre. Pickup/delivery could be arranged with notice.
Ride a pushbike along the backroads exploring the area, following on the bike paths, Walka Waterworks, historical buildings and points of interest in Maitland.
It’s an easy 15 minute walk down the lane or back into the shopping centre.
Whilst we welcome your pets, we ask that they are on a leash as there is cattle, sheep, horses, chooks and birdlife around us. Please pickup after them!
Your own toilet is a necessity.
Campfires (when conditions permit) are to be in the provided firepits.
Garbage and Recycle bins are provided.
We can provide electricity and water to fill your tanks or hookup at Site 1 only - Refer Extras.
We can supply firewood, kayaks and pushbikes - Refer Extras.

We had such a great time staying on Lukes land! He was happy to accommodate our late arrival! The land was gorgeous and we were greeted the next morning with a wake up from the Highland Cows. Space was great with the fire pit set up and ready to go. We will definitely be back and I plan to send my aussie family out here as well!

I was lucky enough to have the whole place to myself. There is a very short walk to the river which was perfect for me to have a fish in the afternoon. Nice flat area to set up my camp. Recommend for anyone who is a self sufficient camper

Had a great stay at Mick’s place. Awesome setting with easy access to the river and all to yourself. My dogs loved it. The cows and their calves were entertaining to watch while having a cuppa! It was lovely to meet Mick. He is an excellent host, friendly and great communicator. Made us feel very welcome.

We loved camping at Roma Orchard! Lovely, grassy sites next to the river. Mick is a great host and made sure we were comfortable. It was VERY hot while we were there but next to (and inside) the river it was beautiful! Lunch at Linga Longa pub in Gundy on Australia Day was a highlight to round of a fantastic few days in the Aussie countryside.

So much space so you can enjoy privacy whilst camping. And plenty of lovely little areas to pick from to set up. I love camping remote with no signal, power or amenities, but at the same time being so close to town (15 min drive) is handy for supply runs.

We really loved camping on Brian and Sallys farm- the spot was totally private, beautiful scenery on the farm and surrounding area with lots to do, but most importantly it was very peaceful and amazing not having wifi/signal to totally unwind. Loved seeing lots of wildlife including wombats!
Both Sally and Brian were so welcoming and showed us around the hives and invited us in for a lovely chat!
