If you like camping and staying in something unique Artisans Park is the place for you, If you want a luxurious five star stay we are defiantly not the place our stays are basic and clean. 1949 London Bus, WW2 Army Tower, 1885 Trig Hut Artisans Park is located 45 minutes from Bathurst and is the closest city for food and fuel. We do not have local shops or fuel stations. The London bus is suitable for children as the upper deck houses the bedroom. The lower deck houses the kitchen and bathroom with a front deck complete with barbecue and amazing views. Relax and watch the kangaroos and eagles from your private deck. Summer swimming in the crystal clear river and winter camp fires where you can toast marshmallows. The lower level has a cooktop "no oven or fridge share fridge at entrance of park", outside gas BBQ and tables. You will need to bring your own drinking water. There is a toilet and shower downstairs. The top deck has two small single beds and one double, quilts and pillows however BYO linen sheets and towels. This bus has featured on many TV shows and is often featured in travel magazines, including on Better Homes and Gardens television in 2013 and in many magazines shoots. No pets please. once again no pets including dogs.

There are cleaning products under the sink as we cannot always be there to keep it clean. There is also an undercover table and basic camp kitchen set up for use in the shearing shed. Please take all rubbish with you. Pick a camp site in the middle aisle around the sheds, bathroom block and driveway OR in any open paddock (granite pad sites on hill are their own sites). Note the ground off the driveway and parking pads can get very wet and boggy so to avoid getting bogged please try to stick to the driveway as much as possible.

This 1/2 acre site is suitable for small camping stays and campervans. It's dog friendly and has great mobile and 3/4G reception especially for Optus and Telstra. Two wheel drive vehicles can park on the pad just past the entry which is perfectly level or the gravel landing just before the entry which is almost level. The site is in a great location on the last residential block of historic picturesque Rockley in the Central Tablelands (Wiradjuri Country) NSW. Surrounded by nice paddocks remnant bushland screens the site from the no through road (about 5 cars a day) provides shade and brings in birdlife and other animals. You might even see an echidna or koala! On the main street about 10mins walk from Bindari is the Rockley Pub by Matt Moran plus a few other trinket shops. The pub is open Thursday-Sunday and has great pub meals and a good vibe. You can leave your vehicle parked at Bindari and take the short walk through the very pleasant historic village. Different routes there and back make for a nice round trip to explore the scenery of the old gold rush village on foot. The easiest way to get to Bindari at Rockley from Sydney is by taking the Rockley road from Bathurst. From Sydney take the Great Western Highway (A32) up and through the Blue Mountains, a stop in Blackheath works well as it’s about ½ way. Then down the steep Victoria Pass into the Central Tablelands and straight through mostly dual carriageways turning left just before Bathurst onto Rockley Road. The scenic route is lovely and actually shorter but very tricky to navigate with phone reception dropping out and maps behaving strange as you are not taking the ‘main’ road. Add in a few potholes, unmarked road features, wildlife and country drivers coming at you in the opposite direction and there are as many surprises as there are wonders. Summer swimming in the crystal clear river and winter camp fires where you can toast marshmallows. The lower level has a cooktop "no oven or fridge share fridge at entrance of park", outside gas BBQ and tables. You will need to bring your own drinking water. There is a toilet and shower downstairs. The top deck has two small single beds and one double, quilts and pillows however BYO linen sheets and towels. This bus has featured on many TV shows and is often featured in travel magazines, including on Better Homes and Gardens television in 2013 and in many magazines shoots. Surrounded by nice paddocks remnant bushland screens the site from the no through road (about 5 cars a day) provides shade and brings in birdlife and other animals. You might even see an echidna or koala! On the main street about 10mins walk from Bindari is the Rockley Pub by Matt Moran plus a few other trinket shops. The pub is open Thursday-Sunday and has great pub meals and a good vibe. You can leave your vehicle parked at Bindari and take the short walk through the very pleasant historic village. Different routes there and back make for a nice round trip to explore the scenery of the old gold rush village on foot. The easiest way to get to Bindari at Rockley from Sydney is by taking the Rockley road from Bathurst. From Sydney take the Great Western Highway (A32) up and through the Blue Mountains, a stop in Blackheath works well as it’s about ½ way. Then down the steep Victoria Pass into the Central Tablelands and straight through mostly dual carriageways turning left just before Bathurst onto Rockley Road. The scenic route is lovely and actually shorter but very tricky to navigate with phone reception dropping out and maps behaving strange as you are not taking the ‘main’ road. Add in a few potholes, unmarked road features, wildlife and country drivers coming at you in the opposite direction and there are as many surprises as there are wonders. But if you are a confident driver ready to take it slow when needed you are in for an enjoyable journey. At South Bowenfels, before Lithgow, take the off road at the service station (a good place to do a last check of fuel, tyres etc) and head towards Tarana, a lovely country pub. Next landmark is the O'Connell Hotel then put Rockley into the maps. This should bring you across the country through some amazing views but very tricky driving the first time you do it. So stay sharp (especially at night with wombats, rabbits and roos on the road) and only drive to the road conditions and your experience level.

We enjoyed our time in Turon gates. I like the location, by the river and close to mountains if you want to hike. We did hike during sunrise and sunset, it was great. I absolutely favour the flush toilet and hot shower, plus bins are available. Communication is great. They give clear instructions and directions before our stay. I highly recommends this place and wouldn’t mind going back.

Revelstone is a really unique and well thought-out campsite with everything you could need. The teepee is super comfy and sunset views are fantastic! Great for dogs too but there is wildlife there too so do keep them on a lead. Graeme was an excellent host throughout and really helpful. Will definitely be back!

We had an amazing stay at this campsite! Bruce was a fantastic host—welcoming and very accommodating. The site was extremely well kept, with plenty of space and a great sense of privacy, which made it even more enjoyable. It’s a great spot for fishing and swimming. Despite our nerves that our Subaru forester with a heavy box trailer wouldn’t get up the mountain, we booked Campers Den in the hope that all would be fine, and thanks to some dry tracks we cruised up the mountain with ease. We were in awe the moment we got to the top, the views at Revelstone mountain were perfection, the solitude and serenity we felt calmed our city souls to the core, This spot is special, it’s private, thoughtfully designed for all kinds of camp set ups. We got to explore a few of the sites around the property and each had its own unique charm. Campers Den, the edge of a mountain, overlooking the sunsets each night was incredible. We had what we are guessing was an eagle or two flying overhead each day. There is a beautiful tree for some shade. Though not protected from wind like others have mentioned, our set up withstood some strong gusty nights, just make sure you peg everything down and we took our gazebo roof off too. Our 7 and 4 year olds enjoyed running around, making noise without being told to be quiet, and the isolation meant we were all comfortable to fully unwind without feeling like we had to be respectfully quiet so as not to disturb others. The dam was so close that we got to enjoy some swimming and splashing in the Christmas holiday crowds, but returning to camp was always the highlight. Thanks to Graeme, a very kind and hospitable host, for an amazing experience, we will be back!

We loved the views! Walking the dogs amongst the rocks, looking out over the hills and valleys. Sitting outside the van in the evening as the sun set. A great spot, well worth visiting. We will go to Revelstone Mountain again

Great place to camp, Damien is great to talk to, very helpful. Track Down was a bit intimidating at first, but wasn’t too bad. We did it on worn road tyres and a trailer that got snagged on rocks coming up. Make sure you have enough clearance. Hogs Heaven was named after the branch on the tree that looks like a hog, but the rock in the water looks like a piglet on its back living life in heaven.

We stayed with our dogs, at a beautiful site on Tammie and Damien’s property called Hog Heaven. It was super peaceful with roaming horses and Alpacas (both dog savvy) who dropped by our camp. The river was nice to paddle in and we were surrounded by nature. Although other camp sites were booked out, there was enough space between each one to feel as though we were on our own. Tammie and Damien were accommodating and gave helpful advice about the 4WD track to the spot. It was a great place to spend Christmas and we’ll be back!
