Stockyard Farm was established in 1858, Stockyard Farm is a historic, 4,000-acre working property boasting beautiful undulating hills and endless serenity. When you stay with us, you’ll be sharing the land with plenty of local wildlife—keep your eyes peeled for kangaroos, wombats, deers, goannas, and echidnas, alongside our resident goats, sheep, and cattle. It is the perfect place to switch off and soak up the peace and quiet. Adventure Just Minutes Away If you're looking to explore, you couldn't be better positioned! We are located just 5 minutes from the stunning Burrendong Arboretum and only 7 minutes from Lake Burrendong—a haven for fishing, boating, swimming, kayaking, and canoeing. 🌟 Bonus for Glampers: Book one of our cosy bell tent sites, and we will include a free access code to Lake Burrendong, giving you unlimited free entry to the park during your stay! Day Trips & Local Gems Want to explore a bit further afield? Stockyard Farm makes the perfect base for regional day trips: Wellington Caves: A quick 30-minute drive. Dubbo & Orange (1 hour): Perfect for a day out at the famous Western Plains Zoo, the historic Old Dubbo Gaol, or exploring the Ophir Gold Mine. Mudgee (1.5 hours): Spend an afternoon tasting your way through beautiful local wineries. There is a wealth of tourist attractions right on our doorstep to keep you entertained—that is, if you can bring yourself to leave the absolute peace and serenity of Stockyard!

Hillside

(13)
RV/tent site · Sleeps 16 · Vehicles under 6 m
Site is situated on the bottom section of a hill, surrounded by nature at its best. Guests can enjoy complete visual privacy, however it should be noted that there may be another group located at the top of this hill. Whilst you cannot see them, in the country sound travels and you may hear them. The access road to the site is a country road and is made of dirt / shale rock. Whilst this site is totally off grid and guests will need to bring all their own camping setup, you will not be bothered by other campers being too close to you, smelling their food and being bothered by their snoring. If you are looking for a camping getaway this is the site for you.

If you only book for one tent, the second tent is locked for your absolute, undisturbed privacy. Tent 1: A plush Queen bed and two Single beds—fully styled with all linen, pillows, and bedding. Tent 2: A spacious King bed and two Single beds—complete with premium linens, pillows, and bedding. Flexible Spaces: Perfect for a romantic couple's getaway or a group trip. Need more space? We can provide 2 extra beds/bedding, or you can bring your own additional tents (fees apply). Gourmet Outdoor Cooking & Power: Forget basic camp food. Utilize our spacious undercover shelter featuring a gas BBQ and a premium gas pizza oven (perfect for crisp, wood-fired style pizzas). Keep your local wines and groceries perfectly chilled all weekend in our massive, fully powered 75L off-grid fridge. A portable sink station is also provided (please note water is non-potable, basic kitchen condiments are included). All-Inclusive Comfort: All linen and towels are provided, alongside diesel heaters to keep the tents cozy during winter. Unlike traditional campsites, you will enjoy a completely private, clean flushing toilet and an outdoor camp shower powered by a Joolca Hottap system which is designed to elevate the natural incoming water temperature by a maximum of 35–40°C. It provides a beautifully comfortable, warm rinse in nature rather than a piping-hot city shower. Firewood Options: Firewood is completely free if you fancy gathering and foraging for it yourself around the property! Alternatively, save the effort and add on our pre-cut, ready-to-go onsite wood stack for just $40. We also supply indoor and outdoor games to keep everyone entertained around the campfire and picnic table. Boutique Dog-Friendly Stay 🐾: We are now offering a boutique, dog-friendly stay option. We will be welcoming one small dog to stay overnight with their owners in one of our designated tents! If you wish to bring your furry friend to our dog-friendly tent, please select this as an extra and be sure to read the requirements.
