30 acres fenced off for Hip camp. other 40 acres fenced off for cattle. 5 private sites on or near sandy creek bed. Lots of bird life and views of the odd cow. Closest hip camp to Dubbo township and Zoo. 5 to 7 kms to Zoo and Town centre. 5 minute drive to the Zoo. 5kms to 27 hole golf course. 3 kms to Delroy Park Shopping centre. Some days you can hear the lions and monkeys from the zoo Lots of Kangaroos on site. Lots of Birdlife ( Eastern Rosellas , Grass Parrots, Willy Wag Tails, Kestrals , Currawongs, Quail , Kookaburras, Magpies , Blue wrens etc. Land was previously a sheep station but nature is slowly reclaiming it. We have been here six years and have seen hundreds of native trees come back through not overgrazing and fencing off bushland. Dry sandy creek bed (good for kids to explore) , except during floods. Lots of shady gumtrees. 2km grassy walk around fence line for those looking to exercise during their stay.

Site 3 Large and above creek
Great spot close to town and the zoo but still feels like you are remote. Kids had a ball following the mob of kangaroos around the paddock every evening. Thanks for the stay

Site 2 above Sandy Creek
Very easy and beautiful site. We had neighbouring campers who were lovely. There is plenty of space and you definitely see kangaroos in the morning and early evening

Restful and Quoet
Nice spot, we were there on our own, plenty of space. Only stayed 2 nights, a few more would be easy if your just wanting to unwind and relax. Nicely mowed site and plenty of room between the sites. The good sized provided firepit served its purpose and we were able to collect some wood from the dry creek bed. It was easy to find and the sites numbered so problems there. We enjoyed our stay.

Site 5
Just a paddock
It was okay nothing special though just an empty paddock. Would have been made better buy having a decent mow and maybe some sort of pest control as there were heaps of ants and some sort of grasshopper everywhere

Site 4
Very private plenty of room for whatever set up you have The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the mozzies but pretty epic to see the sun setting and the moon rising with no one else in site
