YARRALLA on the Marthuguy
Our stay at Yarralla on the Marthaguy was one of the highlights of our trip. Sally and Peter have created such a peaceful, welcoming place to camp, and you can tell how much love and care has gone into every detail.
The campground is beautifully maintained, with clean facilities, plenty of space, and thoughtful touches that make it feel so much more than just an overnight stop.
Sally and Peter are exceptional hosts; friendly, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about sharing their beautiful property. Nothing was too much trouble, and they made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.
Whether you’re passing through or looking for a peaceful place to unwind for a few days, we couldn’t recommend Yarralla highly enough. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re travelling through the area. Thank you both for your wonderful hospitality!

Thanks Sally and Peter for a wonderful start to our trip! The bath under the stars was a fabulous way to begin, relaxing after a long days drive! The campsite is well set up and quirky. You really need to check out their pure spring water!

We were looking for a great place to pull in for the night that didn’t require unhitching and it fit the box perfectly. The facilities and amenities are amazing and immaculate. Hot shower for a gold coin donation and a flushing loo. Could not ask for any more. Firewood available to purchase with fire pits available to use. We would have loved to have used the donkey bath if we had more time. Sally and Peter popped down to say gday and were such great hosts. We will be back again for sure.

Clear directions, nice flat land to set up on, awesome amenities like nice clean toilet/camp kitchen/hot gas-heated shower, fire pits and nice dry firewood. We didn’t get to use the baths but would’ve loved to, it would’ve been a beautiful place to have a drink and watch the stars. Would recommend/come back again.

What a little gem! We loved the hospitality of Peter and Sally at Yaralla on the Marthaguy.
This is a practical, quirky and lovingly put together camp site. Absolutely perfect for a visit to the area or an overnighter. And the hot bath under the stars is priceless... remember to bring gold coins for eggs, souvenirs and a hot

We loved our stay, the facilities on site were clean and well thought out. Thank you so much for having us, we will definitely stay again. Nice place to stay if you need to go to Dubbo but don’t want to stay in town.

What a truly memorable space to spend the night! Our hosts Peter and Sally were so welcoming - even though we booked right at the last minute. We appreciated the ease of finding the campsite, the wide open spaces, the facilities and especially the bath beneath the stars :)
If you're travelling and within 100km of this campsite, make sure you treat yourself by staying!

Yarralla camping is well situated and signed near Gilgandra. Camping area has good amenities with firewood available. A bonus is the nature walk around the creek area.

Paddock camping with a little bit of luxury.
Located only a few minutes outside town and just a short drive off the main road, the site is easy to access and well signposted. Being close to the highway does mean there can be a little road noise if you’re a light sleeper—pack some earplugs just in case. That said, if you’re like my wife, you’ll sleep straight through it without any problems.
The camp kitchen is basic but comfortable and very clean. The composting toilet is easily the best I’ve ever seen—far nicer than the description suggests and better than some toilets we have used in caravan parks. There’s also a hot shower available, but the real treat is firing up the donkey and enjoying a soak under the stars. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves on a beautiful, clear night, which made it a pretty special experience.
We met the hosts after they finished work (it’s a working farm) and had an enjoyable chat with them. A very nice couple.
YARRALLA on the Marthuguy is definitely worth considering if you’re looking for a stay around Gilgandra.

Sally & Peters place is an amazing place to stay, with a more than enough room for multiple campers to have their own space without being crowded. Clean toilets, showers, and kitchen. I’ll definitely be back to stay longer. Thank you both for a great place to stop over during my long drive! Sunset was amazing!

We had a lovely stay at Yarralla. The toilet and shower are great. Everything clean. We enjoyed the nature walk. Unfortunately didn't get to have a bath but looked great. Friendly hosts and will definitely enjoy the fresh eggs. We'll be back.

What a great place to relax. Large flat area with plenty of space to spread out. We checked out the creek walk and watched a goanna get harassed by a group of cockatoos.
The highlight was enjoying an outdoor bath under the stars.
Would happily stay there again.

Large, beautiful, serene, safe place to camp. Easy to find, with well signed directions. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Gold coin donation to use the quaint hot shower, and free if you’re happy with just cold water. There’s now a toilet installed too.
Loved my overnight stay here, and will definitely stop again on future road trips.

Sally and Pete have an amazing setup here, picnic table, shelter with lighting and bore water, outdoor baths, shower... and soon a toilet.
Located immediately off the highway it's location is extremely convenient.
Highly recommend stopping at Johnson's gourmet butcher for an amazing piece of meat and bbq in your own little piece of paradise.

Sally was very helpful and quick to respond to our last minute request, and on arrival Peter came over and went out of his way to make sure that we had everything we needed on a cool and rainy evening. The shelter and other facilities were very useful, with the campsite tucked away from the Newell Highway. There is a bit of road noise still, but it proved to be an excellent option for our overnight stop.

Beautiful location!! We came in late with kids and were graciously let in to rest. We didn’t use the super cute amenities but there is a wood fire bath duet that looked amazing…. Bring wine and cheese (you won’t regret it)
