Lovely country camp spot. We arrived late but directions were easy to follow and camp sites easy to access with a 21ft van. A bit of a drive in from the road but all worth it for the peaceful country views and surrounds.

Sally was quick to respond to booking and was so accommodating. As we turned up to a 50km/hr wind she offered for us to tuck in behind the shearing shed. Even though we didn't get to experience the back property, we loved the birds and serenity. A little bit of highway noise early evening but ok overnight. Thank you!

Site 2 - Ellismayne Bush Camping

We stayed at Ellismayne Bush Camping for a weekend and really enjoyed the peaceful setting and beautiful wide-open skies. The sunsets and sunrises were absolutely stunning, and we even spotted kangaroos making their way through the distant paddocks. At night and in the early morning, we could hear cows in nearby fields, which added to the relaxed bush atmosphere. The site itself is close to the highway, so there was some road noise from trucks and motorbikes — not a dealbreaker, but worth noting if you’re chasing total quiet. The toilet was clean and well maintained, and the dams were a big plus for the dogs to cool off in during the hot afternoons. There’s not much to do on the property beyond wandering around, so it’s best suited for a quick reset rather than a long stay — unless you’re happy with your own company and the sounds of nature. Great for self-sufficient campers looking for space, dog-friendly swimming spots, and a laid-back rural vibe.

Loved it! An awesome place to camp, in this case use as a base to explore some of the central west cycle trail. Basically leave the front gates to the property and travel along a side gravel road right up to the trail at Cobbora. Peaceful surroundings and a well presented and appointed campground. I’ll be back for sure 👍🏻

We stayed at Site 6. This is near the dam and away from the other sites. It is 350m from the drop toilet. If you need to be closer, choose Site 1 or 2. Tranquil spot. The trucks driving past on the highway occasionally could bother some, but other than that it is a great spot. Sally was a great host. great.

Most beautiful place! We stayed for just a night but absolutely loved it. Toilet was well looked after and very clean. Definitely recommend making a stop to Ellismayne!

Great communication from the host and easy to find. Large, open space site with cute(?) well presented drop toilet. Sites 1,2 (near toilet) with fire pits, in one quarter next to each other - 3,4 and 5 in the other (cut) grassy corners and site 6 on its own by a small dam. We stayed after visiting Dubbo zoo and had a great night under the shooting stars. Recommend.

Site 4 - Ellismayne Bush Camping

Stayed over the Easter break. Nice flat camping with a cute toilet and campfire set ups. Our doggos had the best time and the night sky was amazing! Host was lovely and welcoming.

What a great Private spot just off the highway but far enough that there was no traffic noise or visibility at all!! Very convenient stopover or great location to explore the area more. The sunset and starry skies were amazing!!!

Such a great set up. A great bush vibe! Very clean drop toilet, picnic table, fire pits, serenity and space. Sal was a super welcoming and lovely host who was a brilliant communicator and provided excellent directions. Star gazing was amazing. We had the camp to ourselves! So lucky. Doggos had a fabulous time too. Thank you so much Sal. Hope to stay again ☺️

Brilliant stop over near Dunedoo - had the whole place to ourselves and it was so peaceful. Basic toilet but adds to the charm ( a loo with a view!). Overall highly recommended - thanks Sal!

The remoteness of the site was amazing. It’s very far from the main road and house. Although we didn’t meet the owners, they were responsive and took care to ensure the toilet was in tip top condition and that we had ample of firewood for the night. The huge stones surrounding the fire pit was an extra bonus. But what really made the night was the stars and Milky Way. We even saw a massive shooting star! It was amazing and our dog loved staying here too.. Can highly recommend!

A rustic campsite with style!

We loved our stay at Sally’s farm. The setting was just beautiful- quiet, picturesque & safe for our fur babies. The site had a toilet & tables & benches plus a rustic fire pit which was great to sit around after a day on the road. It was obvious that Sally makes an effort for her guests & I would highly recommend this to couples, friends & family. The moon rising over the campfire was a stunning experience.

Site 3 - Ellismayne Bush Camping

Great location with amazing scenery. Wonderful spot that made you feel like you were right in the bush but close enough to town if you need to grab some bits and pieces. Hosts were wonderful and had some great tips on what to do in the region.

We had a fantastic stay, site 6 was a little away from the other sites which carried the benefit of a bit of space to ourselves, whilst also not too far a walk to the toilet and top of the hill. We had a lot of fun at camp and exploring the area.
