Camp 8 - Prospectors Creek
We stayed at site 8. The boat was great - called ahead of time and met us at the gate to show us to the camp site, very friendly bloke. Camp site was very private, we stayed on the October long weekend and didn't see anyone else (can sort of see the neighbours, but +200m away through trees). Site was quite large and next to the creek. Creek was flowing, deep enough for a quick dip but not to deep enough to swim in. You will want a 4WD/SUV to get to the site.

Absolutely beautiful spot. Paul was a fabulous host and made sure our campsite was freshly mowed before we arrived. Absolutely gorgeous. Can't wait to go back when the creek is flowing :)

Breathtaking stargazing

Camp 6 - Grand View
Relaxing, calm and plenty of space to explore - You have acres and acres for yourself. The view was amazing, with lovely sunset and sunrise... and breathtaking stargazing. There were a few dirt bikes which we were not really excited about but amazingly they were very thoughtful and respectful when riding near by and slow down to limit noise (we only heard them for about one hour a day in total). Our dogs were free to roam which was really nice for them and us.

Lovely spot. Nice and quiet, watching the birds, roos and goats. A lovely creek to paddle your feet. Highlight - night sky. Hosts were great too.

Camp 3 - The Nook
Overall the property was not as described. The campsites were hard to access and small. Unfortunately we were also not informed there was no water in the creeks. There was no access to the Turon. We ended up having to leave and find another spot to camp. When I reached out to Annie and Paul for a refund I didn’t get a response. This property is not as advertised.

Great location for people looking at privacy, tranquillity and a real midwest bush camping feeling. Swimming in the creek or nearby Turon tiver. Paul is a great host, happy to assist and respects your privacy. We will be back for sure. Joost and Kees

Got abit lost finding the place even with map but I'm the first person to say I have a bad sense of direction. Alan couldn't of been more helpful if he tried but I'm more of a left right person rather than turn south east person lol.no tracks or sites have markers which I was looking out for unfortunately. Eventually found track down to site 8,even though I was assured it was accessible by 2wd (and I'm sure it has been) I seriously did not feel confident in my ute attempting it,and if it did happen to rain overnight I wouldn't of made it back up the track.alan said I was welcome to stay at site 17 instead if I was unsure,so I did that.place was private and such beautiful country I enjoyed walking around and making a fire at night.only downside was all the roo shooting going on late night/early hrs of the morning by the neighbour. Woke me up several times.i booked 2nights but decided just to stay the one because of it.end of the day the place is beautiful and peaceful during the day. I would happily try my luck again there and just hope for the best in regards to the neighbour hunting.

I absolutely recommend camping at red hill in Sofala, beautiful country, safe , secure,, plenty of wildlife, the owner is very helpful, I’m definitely going back, I even had reception, I’m in to prospecting so I could even do that, 10/10 cheers, you won’t be disappointed 👍👍👍

My wife and I picked Red Hill Sofala as our first Hipcamp experience. Paul was very helpful with our request to change sites, we moved from eagles nest 1 to Creek side 7. With some 4wding along the way. We will be back again for sure.

We had an awesome long weekend here! Paul, was very welcoming and ensured we were on a site that suited us, where we had lots of space and privacy. The property is beautiful with rolling hills, kangaroos and great sun sets. We can’t wait to come back!

We stayed 2 nights of the June Long Weekend, at The Ravine. Plenty of room for a Tent and Swag, a great spot when it's windy.. Lots of Kangaroos and Birds. Paul was very helpful.

What an awesome spot. We camped on the top of the hill where the views were stunning. Communication with Paul and Annie was great. Excellent hosts. Lots to do in the local area, hiking, cafes, 4wd etc if that is what you are looking for. Would definitely recommend.

My family and I loved this spot! Paul met us on arrival was friendly and recommemed a more sheltered spot which was fantastic! We spent 2 nights and would of stayed longer if we could. A little walk to the creek where the kids were able to skip rocks and splash around. The views from the top of the hills were amazing. Would definatley stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay. Paul who greeted us was very friendly & informative. There are several different bush camping sites on the property. We camped on Eagles View which certainly lived up to its name. It was a huge level site with fire pit and spectacular views. It was about a 10 min 4WD trip to locate the creek in the valley to take our dog for a paddle. It looked like there was a site closer to the creek but it's still a decent walk down a steep track or short drive away. Sofala is about 6 km away so handy to explore, grab a coffee or have a beer at the pub. Day trip to Hill End also very achievable.

Paul the host was very welcoming upon our arrival. He showed us around the property to pick a camp site if we wanted to change the booked one. We were very happy with the privacy of our site, even with one camper up the hill that we didn't hear. Camp site was pretty flat and enough room for our 18.6 van. Will be back for sure.

We had a lovely night at Red Hill camping by the river, such a wonderful getaway with absolute peace and quiet. Paul and Annie were great hosts and we were even treated with a full moon reflecting on the rocks and the stars were so clear. Perfect spot for our camper. We will be back again.
