We are farmers, living the dream on 500 acres in beautiful Bellingen. Our farm is called Levenvale Farm. You will feel a million miles away, yet we are only 7mins into the town of Bellingen. We run an organic cattle property and have found a few spots around our farm to share with campers and glampers. Our campsites are "Beyond the Bridge" and "Old Flat Camp". Both are on cattle paddocks and have private access to Hydes Creek. Hydes Creek is a murky sandy base creek. There's lots of logs so its not recommend to jump in, but it's beautiful to cool off in the creek on a hot day. Both campsites have access to our compost toilet, and camping shower (gas hot water). If you prefer a bit more comfort or don't have your own camping gear, you can escape the hustle and enjoy being perched up on one of the highest points on the farm (with incredible views), in our Farm Huts. Both mHuts are furnished with beds and linen with limited power. Both gave private ensuite with compost toilet, gas hot water shower and basic kitchen. Book these Huts via our farm website. At all our campsites, we welcome you to have a small fire, and cook up a BBQ. Our Farm Shop is open 24/7 to self serve and grab some organic beef sausages or steaks. Beyond the creek was the ultimate. Your own private area with plenty of space and felt secluded among the mountain range. Stayed mid week and only saw about 3 cars go past the shared road. As a solo 30s girl camping with her dog, it was the perfect location - plenty of space to play with the dog and a nice stroll to go and visit the cows. Simple bathroom just a short walk across the road. So quick to drive into town but far enough to feel away from everyone and everything. I would highly recommend this space again! The creek was great for my dog, but not something you’d pop into yourself, in my opinion. A nice little picnic table set up as well. I loved it!!!!

Highly recommend this Hipcamp The entrance into the property was very inviting with a long road lined with trees and followed the river leading to the Farm house with a huge turning circle for caravans. The host Troy & Angella were friendly, informative and our site number 1 was right on the river. We had no trees in front of our site just some small plants. So we had full view of the river. There are steps leading down to the river which is sandy and good for swimming (which our dog Bonnie loved). You can have a small fire but we didn’t feel the need at this time of year. The grounds are very well maintained and nice green grass. We would highly recommend this Hipcamp and shall be returning again.

The children LOVED playing with Sally (their beautiful & clever border collie) all day long, and the adults LOVED the space, right next to the river. Susan also brought the kids into her ‘petting zoo’ and they got to cuddle rabbits, baby chicks, guinea pigs… So fun.

It was so beautiful, we had site to ourselves and it was lovely and quiet. Its dog friendly it was good to be able to have them off lead. Water was nice, took a bit of getting ised to clamouring over rocks and it is slippery in water so bring water shoes if you jave them. Road from Bellbrook pub to the campsite(40 min drive) is an adventure in itself going to single lane in places with stunning views to valley floor.. met one clown speeding around a corner so be careful .

We have livestock (currently horses) running throughout the property - some can be very friendly but please don't approach or feed them. We prefer no dogs but will allow if dogs remain well controlled, tethered or on a leash - this is for the safety of your pet as well as the livestock and wildlife. You will see and hear all kinds of wildlife, particularly morning and evening when they are most active. We are located next door and have our own chooks, 23 in total. If you’re looking for fresh eggs, you are more than welcome to come and collect them and feed the chooks; As night falls, drift to sleep under a canopy of stars, with the gentle sounds of the river and the peaceful company of cows nearby—a true farm-meets-nature escape. The ACCESS road to our campsite is flat and easy to navigate, though it is unsealed. For this reason, we recommend arriving in an AWD or 4WD vehicle for a smooth and comfortable journey. The campsite is basic, there are no facilities. Guests will need to provide their own toilet facilities. There are free public Dump Points available in Bellingen, Urunga, Mylestom and Coffs Harbour A mains WATER tap is available for use upon request, though it is located a short distance from the campsite. Heartwood Farm is a centrally located 120 acres on the Mid-North Coast - about halfway between Sydney and Brisbane, only 1.5 kms off Pacific Highway, 25 mins to Port Macquarie, 15 Mins to Kempsey, 30 minutes to Crescent Head and 45 mins to South West Rocks. We are off grid and live close to nature and enjoy the abundance that provides. We have been building and developing for the last few years. We are still a work in progress. There are three Brumbies that live over the fence and 5 other horses that will no doubt come and say hello. They are all friendly, especially if you have a carrot. There are also a lot of kangaroos and wallabies, some quite friendly as they have been raised by our neighbour who does animal rescue. There are also a lot of different species of birds, including the much-loved Black Cockatoos which are in abundance here. We have also seen turtles, frilled neck lizards, diamond pythons, red belly black snakes (rarely) and goannas.

Little Plain Hall grounds - a small rural hall and grounds celebrating their 100th year in 2023 and adjacent to the Ellenborough River with a number of bush campsites available. (If you are after more than a nice piece of grass and a flushing toilet then this property maybe isn't for you!) All sites are reached via dirt tracks that can be rough and slippery. Sites 1 and 2 are adjacent to each other behind the hall and closest to the toilet and the most accessible-more suited to caravans and those without 4 wheel drives. Sites 3, 4 and 5 are adjacent to each other on the banks of the river. Site 6 is separate from the others on the bank of Little Plain Creek but furthest from the toilet. PLEASE NOTE: Access to the river at sites 3, 4 and 5 - the banks are steep and though we have a narrow track down it is slippery. There is access to the river at other spots on the property. This open grassed area of 6 acres is 5 kms further on from the Ellenborough Falls turnoff. (We are not near Ellenborough village but in Elands- this is a somewhat common error when people look us up.) We are a community-run non-profit facility available to campers. All funds raised are used to improve the grounds and hall. Directions to find us: From the Pacific Highway either from Port Macquarie or Taree: Following the Brown tourist signs to Ellenborough Falls turn off/ continue straight ahead on Glenwarrin Road (don't turn into the falls). You will cross over 2 bridges. After the second bridge we are the next property on the right. Larger rigs are not advised. because of the winding dirt roads to get to our village. One toilet available and limited tank water - please BYO water and be water wise with the tank water at the hall. Well behaved pets are welcome. Hall available for hire - please send an enquiry. You can relax by the spring fed dam and look for Coy fish, lay under the trees and do a spot of bird and koala watching or go for a bush walk in the many surrounding trails. Dogs - We are happy for you to bring your fury friends (as long as they are supervised, dog and child friendly, well behaved and non destructive in nature) Please keep them out of the vegie gardens!! Bellinger River Tourist Park took over in 2009. We have been slowly improving the land along the way and hope to make more improvements as we go. Choose to stay at one of our powered or unpowered caravan and camping sites, with our waterfront sites large enough to accommodate all types of camper trailers, caravans and motor homes. As a Pet friendly park, you can bring along your additional family member on holidays with you, subject to the conditions of our Pet Policy. For the convenience of our guests, our Family Orientated Amenities block features 10 suites with hair dryers disabled shower, baby room, men’s room, guest laundry and a filtered water bottle station. We have a dump point located onsite with easy access. Bring your boat and your fishing rod along, and enjoy the magical sunrises and sunsets of the serene Bellinger River, right from your site. Pet Policy: Pets must be kept on a lead (retractable lead locked at no more than 1.5 metres) at all times and either retained by hand by an adult or tied up within your camp site. There is no “off leash area” in the park. Pets are not to be left unattended whilst you go out, they must go out with you. Pet owners are responsible for collection and disposal of their pet’s waste which must be sealed in a bag and disposed of in a rubbish bin. Bags are available for purchase in the office. Pet owners are personally responsible and liable for any and all injuries and/or property damage or losses in relation to any actions relating to their pet. For the enjoyments of all guests, please do not allow your pet to urinate etc on any guests site or property. For health and safety reasons, pets are not permitted in the Amenities Block, Laundry, Camp Kitchen, Community Garden, Pool (including pool area), BBQ area, or near, in or under Villas.
