Pocket-Sized Paradise

3 sites · RVs, Tents8 acres · Upper Burringbar, NSW
Pull up your camper trailer or pitch your tent on one of two creek side spots on our peaceful 8 acre property. Explore the meandering creek day or night to spot turtles, crayfish, echidnas, azure kingfishers, glow worms and if your lucky, and early enough, a platypus. There are also a few spots along the creek perfect for a cooling dip in the warmer months. As the sun sets, stoke up a warming campfire (fire bans may apply) to enjoy some afternoon drinks and snacks around, while the kids enjoy exploring or building a bush cubby. When the light fades enjoy the starry night sky and being lulled to sleep by the babbling creek. Located within walking distance to the fantastic Northern Rivers Rail Trail, a short drive from the local shops, including a cafe, pharmacy, general store, butcher, and even a wine tasting bar. A 20 minute drive to the coast and beautiful beaches, and Byron Bay is just a little further. A myriad of bush walks and interesting country towns await you within an easy drive also. Come for a peaceful, nature connecting stay or use our camp as a base to explore all this wonderful area has to offer. Friendly, well-behaved dogs are permitted, however, we ask that they remain on a lead as we wish for the wildlife to not be disturbed. We look forward to welcoming you!

Sugar Beach Ranch - Horse Holidays

2 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents60 acres · Keith Hall, NSW
Wind through the picturesque sugarcane fields of South Ballina where you will find us on our 60 acre property with spectacular ocean views, beautiful native bushland and Australian wildlife. Sugar Beach Ranch is one of the most secluded treasures in the Northern Rivers, only 40 mins from Byron Bay NSW and within 30 mins to Ballina, Bangalow and surrounding scenic waterfalls. The property offers a two-bedroom bungalow and a secluded campsite for self-contained campers, in addition to our other variety of services including retreats, equine therapy, weddings and venue hire. Our property is surrounded by the crystal clear ocean, a beautiful rural outlook and rainforest walks. Sugar Beach Ranch offers you a private and picturesque beachfront experience. Simply put it's ‘Nature’s Playground’. Sugar Beach Ranch is a special place... a place of relaxation and reflection. We want guests to enjoy the break away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Wake up to songs of native birds. Bring your own horse, guitar, or your writing book and loll away the hours nurturing your soul in paradise. All guests have shared access to the 15m resort-style magnesium pool and direct beach access from the property. We are a wildlife sanctuary and an operating farm with horses, chickens, ducks, pigeons and a peacock. There are dogs on the property to protect the chickens and other animals from predators, so please don’t bring any pets of your own. Enjoy Sugar Beach Ranch with your horse, bring them along for the holiday, and plenty of beach and trail rides. Paddock accommodation available. As we are located in the secluded and sleepy cane fields of South Ballina there is limited access to shops, cafes, restaurants, etc. The Burns Point Ferry is the best way to get to us, it runs from 5:30am until 12.30am daily, consistently running back and forth. An approx. 8min journey each way and costs $7.00 each way, payable by credit card only. So you can easily go into Ballina town for all shops, cafes, restaurants, etc. If the ferry isn't for you, you can drive to Ballina via Wardell on River Drive. The bungalow is located approx. 25m from the main residence, and the campsite is located approx. 300m from the main residence tucked away in the paddocks and forest. We are onsite and available if needed. Sugar Beach Ranch is an operating farm with staff onsite caring for animals and maintaining the grounds. All care is taken to ensure minimal disruption to guests. If you have a special occasion or event you are considering, please don’t hesitate to contact Stevey to discuss further.

Malabar Farm

3 sites · RVs, Tents340 acres · Uki, NSW
Malabar Farm is a working Beef and Equine property situated in walking distance (600 metres to the Hotel) from the idyllic village of Uki. Steep in farming history, was originally a part of the logging district and later operated as a dairy up until early 2001. The farm nestles in to the foothills of My. Uki and the Twin Sister Mountains. The southern boundary is 2 klm of Tweed River. 3 permanent creeks meander through the property providing an abundance of wild life and camp sites to dream of. The long stretch of Tweed River frontage provides for fishing (bass aplenty), and canoeing. The equine training and breeding section of the farm is to be visited by appointment most days, and for safety reasons is not commonly accessible. Petting of small animals is an optionable extra for children, and children and beginners, can arrange a riding lesson in one of the 2 enclosed arenas, also an optional extra cost.
