Please note when coming in from Friday Hut Rd, the first dirt road before passing our gate and entering our property is a shared road with our neighbours. Our gate is all the way at the end DO NOT VEER LEFT, left takes you to the neighbours. Our number is on the huge rock near our gate, 567. Once you are in, the driveway leads around to the right and the camping area is first road to the left. You will see a welcome campers sign with an arrow pointing left.

Sylva Lagoons is a 570 acre beef cattle and native timber producing farm, which we, Pete and Elaine bought seven years ago, for somewhere beautiful and peaceful for our retirement.
It is so beautiful living here we thought we should share it.

The lagoon at the campground is over 10 acres of water, with native forest on three sides. It is great for canoeing or bushwalking and our bird life is spectacular.
No phone or internet since 3G was removed. Sorry!
Dog friendly - with limitations. Flushing disabled toilet available. Good access for 2WD. Campfires permitted in a designated area and firewood available for a donation to cut it all.

170 acres of lush flats and rolling hills located on the NSW North Coast is Highland Cow Farm. It is home to a range of beef cattle breeds including Scottish Highlanders who love to be fed carrots, Dexter, miniature black Galloways, and Belted Galloways, or, all known collectively as the pets.
The property is located close to Nimbin and Lismore and less than an hour to Byron, Ballina, and several National Parks. It's a relaxing, convenient base camp from which to explore this beautiful region.
The farm has lots of walks across flats and up hills for amazing views. You can be as active or as still as you like here.

Dont forget to bring carrots to feed Ruby, the Highland cow or Brownie the bull. Mooka our old charolais loves a cuddle while she is being fed carrots.

Booked for a couple of nights as a camping test run with my family and couldn't have picked a better spot. Hosts were super lovely and accomodating, checked in to make sure we were having a good time.
The property was beautiful and peaceful and of course getting taken to see and feed the cows was amazing. Very keen to come back for a longer stay in the future!

We had an awesome stay at Riverbend Retreat. The campground is set right above the river, with the water literally running just below the site, which makes for an unreal backdrop the whole time you’re there. The river itself is crystal clear and perfect for swimming, relaxing, or just sitting back and taking it all in.
For anyone into fishing, this spot is a winner — there’s some cracking bass fishing right out front, especially early morning and late arvo. It’s one of those places that feels peaceful and secluded but still has everything you need for a great camping getaway.
We’ll definitely be back 👍

Cannot stress enough how great this place is.
Waze did try and steer us incorrectly but you can see where you need to be and get there easily.
Camp-site is a nice size patch beside the river which easily fitted out party of 10 adults 6 kids and 3 dogs. With an undercover picnic table and fire pit.
We even spotted a platypus feeding in the rapids near the swimming hole
Overall a great long weekend had by all

Tent camping on this paddock site was so lovely. There was so much space and privacy, and the hosts were very accommodating. The cows were in the paddock just over. Even though they are quite skittish, if you give them time they do come pretty close. Highly recommended campsite.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay. The camp-site and amenities are well maintained. The river (currently low) and kayaks (additional hire) we are huge hit with our family. We have our own inflatable kyak and row boat but loved hiring the ones available to have our own.
Our first trip not bringing ANY firewood but there was plenty available to purchase.
Host is very friendly and approachable when needed but also respects your space. A++ Host.
Lismore(local town and shops) is a short drive away. Small city with most things you need if forgotten or if issues arise.
We plan to return!

We had a very enjoyable stay at Jan's site! She made sure we had a private area to set up camp which felt like our own little hideaway. Her land is beautiful, well kept and surrounded by rolling hills. Would definitely come back again, maybe in a colder month to avoid the heat!

We spent two nights at Riverside Bend and left feeling completely renewed. There is something incredibly regulating about this spot; between the gentle stream, the birdsong, and the afternoon sun, the rest of the world just melts away. It’s hard to believe such a private, quiet sanctuary exists so close to Byron and Lismore. We spent our days swimming, swinging, and soaking up the silence. With no road noise and total privacy down on the riverbank, it was the most joyful way to welcome in the New Year. Fresh, peaceful, and highly recommended!
