Pilot Mountain is iconic through and through. Serving as a landmark for Native Americans and early explorers, it still commands the attention of anyone passing by. Take out your binoculars, point them at the cliff sides, and you will probably see a few climbers making their way up the stony face.

A 6.5 mile trail through woodlands links the mountain to the Yadkin River. This particular section of the River is especially beautiful, with a dozen small islands scattered throughout it. Hiking trails branch off in every direction, each one leading to a place more beautiful than the next. When it comes to adventure, let Pilot Mountain be your guide!
