I bought the property in fall of 2017, with a vision of turning the barns into a party/wedding venue and to have camping sites. The property and home were in 3-decades worth of disarray, needing major repairs/renovations so my daughter and I started on the inside and have made it to the outside this year. Huge projects, and I have a dream!
Last year I began using Airbnb for rooms in house and yurt style bell tents in the arena, which got my feet wet. This year has changed the way we all do things and I am moving forward with developing the camping experience. My goals this summer are to create the outdoor communal area for campers with solar showers, outdoor bathrooms (aiming for composting), sinks and kitchen prep area. I am re purposing/reusing all the 'materials' that were left on the property as much as I can in the pro

My goals this summer are to create the outdoor communal area for campers with solar showers, outdoor bathrooms (aiming for composting), sinks and kitchen prep area. I am re purposing/reusing all the 'materials' that were left on the property as much as I can in the process of beautification. I hope to add chickens to the mix for farm fresh eggs, and some raised herb gardens in the communal space for guests to get dirt under their nails, as it is a good thing. I also envision hosting groups (i.e., like cyclists doing the various Bay to Pier rides along the coast). If you are interested in reserving the land for larger groups please contact me through a listing and we will work together to accommodate you.
What brings me joy, peace and energy to press on with this creative space and growing the land is the resonated statement from campers last year: "Wow, the stars are amazing here, we don't see them back home!" Talk about a humbling truth statement, I call it Star Pollution--there are so many to lasso and reach for up here :-)
