Located between the Old West hills of Tombstone, Arizona, and the cattle ranching area of the Willcox Playa, Gleeson is an old ghost town, with just a few dozen permanent residents. This working homestead, with goats, chickens, dogs, fish and a sweet kitty named Ella is also part of a CSA farm, and home to a local aquaponics business. We are on 55 acres that are private, quiet and secluded, yet, close to small towns with most of what you would need.
We have several beautiful, undeveloped site, and an area that will soon be developed with a picnic table, fire ring, hammock, and canvas tent. Otherwise, there are many private areas that you can enjoy.
We enjoy 55 acres of rolling hills, acacia and mesquite trees, wildflowers in the spring, and dramatic, open skies.
The stargazing is incredible. This part of AZ is also known for rockhounding and birdwatching. World class hiking is nearby, as well as fun tourist areas like Bisbee and Tombstone.
We are located in beautiful southeastern Arizona - nearby many beautiful areas, and fun tourist activities;
Tucson 90 miles Saguaro National Park East 80 miles Tombstone 13 miles Chiricahua National Monument 50 miles Bisbee 40 miles Sierra Vista 40 miles Gleeson historic ghost town 1 mile Agua Prieta, Mexico 45 miles
Great birding, hiking, biking, motorcycling, and other outdoor activities are available. Amazing night skies, peace and quiet, and privacy.
We enjoy excellent year-round weather. Usually not too hot, or too cold. Sunny skies 350 days each year!

This is the land of the Apaches of Chief Cochise and Geronimo. Pottery shards have been found in nearby washes, and you can feel the heartbeat of this land of ancient Native American cultures. With its deep history in mining and agriculture, the land use changed, but not the landscape, nor the feel of this place. Many visitors have described it as "magical," and "spirit growing."
