Mare's garden was really beautiful! She was extremely welcoming, she showed us around her property and made sure we were completely at home. She was responsive to every message and even let us know of some of the local history of the area. The campsite itself was very cute, it would be a great place to bring children. It was next to a creek and had multiple areas to sit or hang out, a hay slide, a craft space with tons of supplies, and access to an indoor bathroom. There were a few hiking trails marked nearby that we didn't get a chance to check out. Be aware that Laytonville is a really small town. I would highly recommend for anyone heading toward Mendocino. The drive west from the campsite toward the ocean is spectacular.
Mare was warm and inviting to myself and my 8 year old daughter. Children's activities are abundant on the property from hay slides to play structures. We slept fine on the air mattresses and the blankets supplied in the tent. Mare offered coffee in the morning as well as a shower in her main house. That was much appreciated! Overall, the experience was quite positive and Mare is gracious host. Thanks again!
Mare's glampampsite was perfect, just what we were hoping for. She was kind and very communicative. The surrounding woods are gorgeous, and the sounds of the creek were carried us to sleep. Definitely recommend this to anyone considering! Thanks, Mare.
