Houseboat on the Columbia River
in Batwater Station on Columbia River, OregonDreamiest houseboat on the river
A truly special way to experience life along the river, the Houseboat is beautifully designed, artfully decorated and thoughtfully equipped throughout. We loved getting to watch the wildlife all around us while also enjoying the luxuries of a big comfy bed, fast WIFI and space for remote work, and everything you could need to cook a great meal and feel at home. Very cool hosts and history about the area! Karin and Michael are lovely folks -- proactive, kind, responsive and helped us with any issues that popped up. Highly recommend!
Past trip
in Oracle campsite @ Delphi Farms, WashingtonPerfect spot for a peaceful stopover on our longer camping trip. Arrived very late but still easily found the property and a nice, private spot thanks to Jimboās proactive directions and detailed instructions. Gorgeous starry skies! Convenient location close to amenities. Would stay again!
Past trip
in The Rustic Retreat, WashingtonGreat spot to explore pa!
Conveniently located, nice, safe spot on beautiful land for a last-minute stay while we were exploring the area. Good signage, very clean potty, pretty views and fell asleep to sound of frogs singing by the pond. A bit buggy in July, as to be expected. Had enough ATT service to be functional for searches, etc. Great value for the price and beautiful land!
Past trip
Cascadia Park Camping
in 2 Doves Farmstead, OregonBeautiful site on a magical little farm with soft grass, lush trees for shade, a table and chairs, and a cool path down to the serene river. My husband and I stayed here one night with our two pups as a last-minute booking on our way back from exploring the coast. Michael was a welcoming, considerate and helpful host. We appreciated the site being tucked back in away from the main road so it felt very secure and private.
The WIFI worked great -- much appreciated in an area with bad service. Loved getting to watch the goats and chickens :) Big thanks to Michael, family and critters for sharing their beautiful space with us -- highly recommend if you're looking for somewhere to visit and would def stay again!
Past trip
in Cardinalās Camp, WashingtonLoved our stay at Cardinal Camp! Beautiful land and well-maintained space. Sweet, happy chickens and fresh eggs made our stay extra special. :) Hosts are kind, friendly and considerate, site felt private nestled up against the gorgeous fields and being tucked in on the property away from the road made it feel safe and secure.
We camped in a tent with our two dogs and very much appreciated the cover for shade on hot days and a dry spot on rainy days. Power and WIFI made remote work a breeze in an area with otherwise spotty coverage. Great location for exploring Pt Townsend and surrounding areas. Loved the Chimacum farm store and plenty of spots nearby for supplies, etc. Highly recommend!
Thanks so much to Chris, fam and chickens for a fabulous stay!
Past trip
in The Back Four at Dun Tun, WashingtonOur second time camping here, this time in Site #1. Nice to see some impressive improvements on the potty! The site felt private, the paths were well maintained and being tucked back into the property made it feel much more secure and peaceful than some other hipcamps in the area.
Daisies were in full bloom this time ā stunning! Great spot with lots of subjects for the artist or photographer in you :) Thanks again to Ronnie for sharing the beauty with us!
Past trip
in Camp Birdwatch, WashingtonBeautiful site, rain or shine :)
I stayed here a week with my husband and two dogs tent camping, and we had an absolutely wonderful time. It rained the first couple days but the grounds are well-maintained and thoughtfully cared for so drainage was good. Had a relaxing time listening to rain, tons of birds and singing frogs while catching up on reading. The rest of the week was sunny and warm, and we had a blast hanging out with our dogs by the relaxing tree swing by a field of wildflowers. The hosts were warm, kind, communicative, accommodating and checked in on us to make sure we were okay and had what we needed. Toilets were clean, the provided well water was fresh, and the road and sites are maintained and accessible which makes a huge difference as well. Grateful for the chance to experience some must needed nature time on their gorgeous land ā excited to visit again someday!
Past trip
in Onalaska Sanctuary, WashingtonLast-minute lifesaver! :)
Easy to find, great communication, well-maintained roads and sites! Jessica was able to accommodate us last-minute after we goofed other camping plans. Other campers were there but it felt totally private and peaceful. We loved seeing the neighboring cows hanging in the trees in the early morning and the walking paths were a bonus!
Past trip
in Summit Farms: Peaceful & Enjoyable, WashingtonPerfect place to rest and reset
Weāve hipcamped at dozens of places over the years in this area and I can confidently say this place is truly special. Mitch and Michelle were amazing hosts and provided a welcoming, safe and serene experience. A beautiful tent site ā perfect for stargazers, and anyone who loves birds and wildflowers. Our dogs had a great time as well and loved getting to enjoy all the new sniffs and nature sounds. We also caught a perfect full flower moon set against a field of wildflowers with the frogs singing us to sleep. Magic! Thanks to Mitch and Michelle for sharing their beautiful land with us and we hope to visit again someday!
