Come out and unwind from the stress of your everyday life to this small, intimate cottage/cabin. Sitting only feet from a babbling creek, this is an ideal retreat for a couple. The cabin has  a full size memory foam mattress, wood floors, and is half timber/half canvas.

This cabin is part of the Viking Longhall Campground, a 5 acre campground set in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.

The field is close enough to the Appalachian highway (state route 32) for convenience but far enough not to be bothered by it. The area is steeped in Native American culture. In fact, the world famous Serpent Mound is but 8 miles away, with many other Adena culture sites within easy driving distance. It's also in the heart of the Amish community.

The area is known for its natural beauty with many hiking trails and canoeing opportunities.

The cabin comes complete with everything you will need: bedding, pots, pans,  crockery, utensils, candles, lamps, coolers, a grill, water, firewood, benches, chairs, and towels. Just grab your clothes, food and beverages and head out here for some much needed R and R!

Creek side cottage was placed perfectly by a creek, so you can doze off to the sound of the running water. It was set up with a stove and all the kitchenware you could need. Dave the host was very hospitable and welcomed us around the property, giving us a tour of the entire land and what was offered during our stay. My friend and I felt very comfortable staying at the Creek side cottage.

This property is absolutely GORGEOUS! We had a blast with our pups exploring the creek and rest of the property. The hosts were absolutely wonderful - very welcoming and kind. They brought us coffee each morning, and stopped by a couple of times to check in. We will certainly be back!

We stayed in several places by these hosts and all of them exceeded expectations. What a delightful, intriguing, and inspiring few days. Could have easily stayed longer. We live 8 hours away and consider this a destination- a must see. I couldn’t imagine a better first hipcamp experience.

The Viking Longhall is a dream come true. Such a cool concept! The cottage we stayed in was very comfortable and cozy, they even lit all the candles for us upon arrival which really set the scene. They have really thought of everything--cooking utensils, bug spray, dish soap, towels, s'mores sticks they have it all. The hosts were such nice people that we had great conversation with the next morning. They also brought us coffee and muffins for breakfast! This place is a must stay when in this part of the country! I would highly recommend and hope to be able to visit again one day.

I had the most wonderful time at the Creekside cottage. The grounds were amazing and the hosts David and Iveigh were more than kind and accommodating. It was a sweet stay, with everything we could possibly need and the creek next to the yurt gave way to soothing sounds the entire visit. I will most definitely be back, more than a few times!

The cabin was beautiful. It had plenty of candles and all of the necessities one could want. The firewood was already pitched in the pit for us. We enjoyed our night along the creek, warmed by the fire, serenaded by the frogs and birds. Wanted to stay another night immediately!
