I took my 6 yr old grandson camping for the first time, he loved it! The property is beautiful. We went on a hike with our 4 dogs, who also had a blast running free. Very private and wooded. A great experience

Beautiful backwoods space w a scenic view and trails. It was a great way to escape for a weekend away w the dogs and our rooftop tent. With most of the leaves off the trees, we we able to see a gigantic hawks' nest although it appeared the couple had not yet returned for the season. It was spectacular to see amongst the backdrop of the creek valley. Very kind host and hostess.

This site was just what we were looking for! We stayed in a rooftop tent on our truck and were able to drive right to the site and found a great level spot to park. Our dog was happy to be able to run around. The campsite was clean and firewood was there waiting for us. Our hosts were responsive when we had questions. We would definitely come back if we’re in the area again.

One of the best campsites we have been to so far. Back in the woods nestled on the side of a hill with a view of the ravine and creek. We loved that it was the only site on the property and was very private. Having a campsite stick out is hard because they are a lot of times very similar, but the large fire ring, trash bag lift, wood chopping logs, plenty of flat tent spots, and great view really make this place stand out. We can’t wait to come back and explore more. Thanks for hosting us

I loved staying McIntosh Pines. It was a peaceful and private area with plenty of room to walk and hike around. Also, I had an issue that Chad graciously helped me. Would love to come back.

This campsite is GORGEOUS. Acres of land to wander, multiple great sites for hammocks and tents. Incredibly secluded, far from the owners' house and tons of trees for privacy. The stream was mostly dry thanks to the recent drought, but we still managed to get water for emergency fire extinguishing. There were a couple benches, a good table, a really nice fire ring, and even a little shovel (the site is truly primitive, you might need that shovel). We could hear Route 62, but it was quiet overnight and the sleeping was excellent. 10/10 will book again!

I had a wonderful time tent camping on Chad & Elizabeth’s land! It was a very tidy campsite with a very nice fire pit and plenty of flat ground for your tent! So nice being able to walk some of the trails and enjoy the late summer weather.

This place was great! We had 9 people with 4 large tents, which is kind of tight but we utilized the well maintained driving path for a tent and to play Cornhole. They only rent to one person at a time so the entire wooded area is all yours!
Plenty of trails to explore and we seen deer every morning.

I've stayed at McIntosh Pines now 4 times and I will continue to return. The site is gorgeous, sitting atop a ridge with nice views down into a creek valley. I really appreciated the upgrades to the site since the last time I visited -- a new fire pit, the new bridge, and the beer cap tree! Definitely take the time to walk the trails in the meadow and through the woods, down into the creek valley.

Really enjoyed the peacefulness of this Hipcamp for one night. Since there is only one spot, we had the place to ourselves and that’s what makes the great as you can enjoy some quiet time in the woods without other campers nearby. Fire ring was really nice and we purchased a bundle of firewood which was at the site when we arrived. Would highly recommend for those seeking a simple, quiet and laid back time in the woods. It’s far enough away from the city, but also close enough to where it’s a not a long haul to get to.

We'll groomed property and single campsite means you get the place to yourself. The updated firepit is one of the nicer ones I've seen, dare I say nicer than some state park's.
The creek running along the property was mostly dry, it is mid August after all.
Trails are well groomed. Campsite is very clean and the provided hammock is a really nice touch.
Would definitely visit again.

This is a great spot! Super shady, provided setup with table, bench, fire pit, and a few other perks. Feels fairly secluded, lots of birds to listen to and watch. There is fairly constant road noise, but it wasn't too loud. Would stay again!

The tent camping along the river was incredibly peaceful and isolated. Had the all the trails and river access to ourselves and dogs, it was a great place to splash around in. The site itself is beautiful and situated at the top of the river bank. There’s a hammock and plenty of space for a few tents, an extra bonus was we could pull right in. Chad stopped by and gave us a brief history of the property. A bonus for butterfly and bird lovers as the fields of milkweed and golden rod attract plenty of both. Additionally, there was a surprising lack of ticks and mosquitoes for being situated along a riverbend. 10/10 would recommend and will be revisiting in the future.

This is a fantastic spot that’s secluded and well maintained. Chad & Elizabeth have clearly put in a lot of thought, time and energy into preparing an amazing camp site surrounded by the natural beauty that exists on their land. As others have mentioned, there is some noise from the nearby roads but not enough to disturb the serenity you’ll experience while at the site.
Unfortunately, we had to leave our trip to at due to a sick kiddo, but we’ll definitely be back for another fantastic experience! Thanks Chad & Michelle!

The site was beautiful and perfectly secluded. There is a small creek that has dried up in places that the dogs were able to swim in which was perfect due to the high temperatures. The site itself is shaded completely which was also helpful with the heat. There are plenty of short trails to walk along as well as multiple hunting perches the kids climbed up to get a look around. I would definitely make another trip here!

This is our second time staying here and it’s amazing! It’s so beautiful and the land is very well kept . We don’t get to go camping often, but this is our favorite spot. Chad and Elizabeth are great communicators as well !

Went tent camping, was a beautiful place! Trails were nice and well kept. Forgot hand sanitizer and didn't pack enough water and Chad was very understanding and accommodating! Gave me plenty of wood to enjoy my fire as well for my stay. Would definitely recommend and hope to return this year! Rained towards the later after noon and night so I really hope I didn't mess up the path when leaving Chad, very sorry about that!

Absolutely fantastic spot. Lots of trails to explore. Very secluded. Nice view of the creek from the camping spot but far enough away you don't need to worry about mud and bugs.

It was so relaxing and private. We stayed on July 4th and could hear fireworks very close all around, so we walked out onto the open path and couldn't see a single one. Fireflies were everywhere. It was so nice being one with nature and seeing all the deer crossing the stream and the bunnies hopping across the path as we drove in and out 🥰 Will definitely be booking again. Sorry again about the trailer Chad.

I didn’t know what to expect as this was our first time using Hipcamp, but we were not disappointed! The site is super private, on a ledge overlooking the creek (which was very shallow and still during our stay). On wetter weeks the site may be a tricky to get to, but we didn’t have any issues in our normal 2WD SUV. We wanted a weekend with little to no human interaction and that’s what we got : ) Would definitely come back.

McIntosh Pines is a beautiful property. My partner and I went for the weekend and took our 3 pups with us. The view from the campsite sits over a creek and due to the size of the woods and how secluded it was, we felt comfortable unleashing the dogs to run around. They loved exploring the trails with us. We had a wonderful stay and I'd recommend this experience to anyone.

We had a great stay at Chad & Elizabeth's site it was really peaceful. We both slept well and felt safe. The site was well maintained and we requested some wood to burn in the outside fire pit, which we were thankful for. The setting of the site is very scenic and secluded. Thank you, we will hopefully get to return. The site can be seen at Get Livin Outdoors on YouTube. Plenty enough area to put up a large inflatable tent. 😁

Chad & Elizabeth’s place is perfect. It’s completely private and has a beautiful view of the woods. It was great being able to sleep under bright stars and out of the hustle and bustle of the city. Even though it rained the last night we stayed, I would 100% recommend.
