Steve is an outstanding Host! The campsite itself was secluded with everything you need. Paths were cut to walk around, great swimming hole just a short walk from the camp. Lot's of wildlife, good fishing. I would love to tell you it was horrible so I could keep this place all to myself, but I couldn't do that to Steve. He would come by and make sure we had anything we needed, yet left us alone to enjoy ourselves but was always available if we needed something. The Kids all had a great time and we will be back soon!

It is always a pleasure and a fun time to see children with smiling faces and having a great time. My goal is to please each and everyone as well as I can however I can. It was a fun time for me as well. Happy Trails till we meet again.

Both Steven & The Hitch N'Post were exactly what we were looking for this holiday weekend! A quick 45-50 minute drive from the KC metro area- The property was huge and there was plenty of room to spread out if we wanted to. The Creek that runs right by the site, had some water in it due to the recent rain- about knee-high in most cases- JUST enough to dip in and cool off- perfect on a hot summer day! Steven was an awesome host, and took most of us on a tour of the property- he was always close by, and always available if the need arose. He stopped in every day, to check on us and make sure that we had everything that we needed- he even took the time to show our younger boys how to throw knives and tomahawks- He was VERY big on explaining the rules to them first and that safety should always come first! If you're looking to unplug completely, which we were, there is little to no cell phone service at the campsite- YAY! But bring your music downloaded if you're wanting some tunes...
All-in-all- We couldn't have asked for a better location or host... and we definitely hope to come back!!

LOTS of room to roam... and if you're a fan of disc-golf, you're in luck! So is Steven, and there are a few baskets perfectly set around the property! The Creek, looking north, was just down a small slope on the other side of the fire-pits. There had been just enough rain recently, that we could dip in and splash around. The Creek, looking south, was just down a small slope on the other side of the fire-pits. Everyone enjoyed it! Shoe's suggested- mostly rocky bottom.Steven's horse Shiloh was a total sweetheart.

As always to whomever visits my property, My goal is to make sure I see happy smiling faces. And that they will never be bored, I will always have something new and exciting. Disc golf baskets -course, Hawk and knife throwing, the nature walks that which are mowed. Your family and friends are always welcome. I too enjoyed your stay. I enjoyed playing disc golf all in while entertaining. It truly was a fun nice weekend. Happy Trails till we meet again. The Hitching Post
