Camping and Disc Golf Combo!

We had such a great time camping at The Hitching Post! Steve was a friendly, helpful host who was more than happy to answer any questions we had and made sure that we felt welcome and comfortable and that we had the best camping experience possible. He even played a few rounds of disc golf with us at the course on-site! One of the most unique and awesome things about camping here was the new 9 hole disc golf course on the property that’s open to campers. The course was the perfect mix of open fairways and wooded holes with one elevated basket, a hole with a water hazard, several holes with mandos that force strategic play, and beautiful scenery throughout-it has some small hills and varied elevations while still being cart-friendly and easy to navigate. It’s a perfect spot for beginners and veterans alike, as beginners can experience a fun round of 9 holes with neat decor and sights along the way and the avid disc golfer could easily make a day of playing this course multiple times, trying out different throws and strategies throughout. For anyone who loves the camping and disc golf combo, The Hitching Post is absolutely the perfect spot on the map. And any camper is sure to enjoy The Hitching Post’s picturesque scenery, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and perfect touches of rustic charm. There’s no doubt that this is our new go-to camping spot, and we can’t wait to go back!

Beyond amazing host, GREAT SPOT!

Wow, Steven sure does go above and beyond!!! Made everything super easy. We did camper camping which worked out well with electrical and water hookups but would also HIGHLY RECOMMEND for tent camping! We walked the whole (great size) property and saw some beautiful and private tent camping and additional RV sites (for boondocking)—all with grills and just lovely surroundings! Our 2 dogs loved it too!

Such an incredible experience. The best campsite! Steven was phenomenal and was always there to help and join into activities. Steven also spent time getting my son's lure out of a tree! So many activities that my 5 year old did not want to leave. We cannot wait to go back and highly recommend The Hitch'N Post
