Super nice host and staff. Train and hi-way noise but doesn’t affect the stay. Nice lake to paddle and large sites. All the animals are fun to visit. Pretty surroundings.

Weekend Trip to The Hitch N' Post

We had such a great time camping at The Hitching Post! Steve was a friendly, helpful host who was more than happy to answer any questions we had and made sure that we felt welcome and comfortable and that we had the best camping experience possible. He even played a few rounds of disc golf with us at the course on-site! One of the most unique and awesome things about camping here was the new 9 hole disc golf course on the property that’s open to campers. The course was the perfect mix of open fairways and wooded holes with one elevated basket, a hole with a water hazard, several holes with mandos that force strategic play, and beautiful scenery throughout-it has some small hills and varied elevations while still being cart-friendly and easy to navigate. It’s a perfect spot for beginners and veterans alike, as beginners can experience a fun round of 9 holes with neat decor and sights along the way and the avid disc golfer could easily make a day of playing this course multiple times, trying out different throws and strategies throughout. For anyone who loves the camping and disc golf combo, The Hitching Post is absolutely the perfect spot on the map. And any camper is sure to enjoy The Hitching Post’s picturesque scenery, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and perfect touches of rustic charm. There’s no doubt that this is our new go-to camping spot, and we can’t wait to go back!

Quick responses from Chad and Cynthia, clean, beautiful campsite and an extraordinarily unique area of Kansas the owners have so graciously made available for camping. My wife and I tent camped at South Beach Campsite and loved it! It was our second time back and won't be our last!

The care and accomodations made by the hosts prior to and during our visit were exceptional. Our camping site as well as the landscapes are serenely expansive and full of solitude. We would highly recommend taking the ranch tour. The history of many civilizations on the land was very interesting. Our whole experience was restorative and we will camp at with C2T again. A++

We had a great time camping in our popup at Lake Meadow 1. The view was beautiful, and the clubhouse was very convenient. Our camping spot was freshly mowed and we enjoyed seeing all the farm animals. As other reviewers noted, the trains are loud, but it didn't bother our family too much (our kids liked seeing them go by!). Thanks for a great weekend!

Weekend Trip to Geist Family Farms

Such an epic trip for so many reasons. First, it’s hands-down one of the best fishing spots in Kansas. We probably got 35 to 40 fish the entire weekend bass, crappie, catfish (some over 10 pounds) sunfish and even a perch. Second, it’s a really great piece of land and the owners are simply incredible people. They brought us firewood and they had ice and a wonderful shower to use after a long day in nature. Third, close enough for needs but far enough to see the stars. Book it! You’ll love it.

Weekend Trip to C2T Ranch on the Saline River

My wife and I spent 2 nights glamping at the ranch and we enjoyed the heck out of it. The yurt was set up with solar power and a heater and was clean. The campground was also clean. The river is close and super clear, about 20ft wide and 3ft deep. The mountain is just beyond that we had a great time climbing to the top of it, the view from there is fantastic. The best part of the trip was the food! We got the burgers and brats they really do provide all the fixings and it came with some tators and they bring it out to you. The first bite we knew it was REAL, so much better then store bought! We made two meals out of it. The superstar was the cinnamon rolls....out of this world! Suck it yoder lol. We bought another to take home. The host where great, very quick to respond to our needs and seem like nice people. We will absolutely be going back.

Matthew met me upon my arrival and immediately gave me the prepaid tour option since the tour the next morning would not work with my early departure. Matthew poured out fascinating facts as we walked through an incredible underground structure. I then went to the brewhouse he suggested—great countryside, great dinner, great conversations. I returned to a beautiful sunset and the fire pit was all ready to light. Matthew stopped during his nightly dog walk to make sure all three capacity campers were happy.

What a fabulous spot! I arrived at 1am so was very dark but was given great directions on how to find my site and was so excited to wake up to such a beautiful place!

Matthew’s site was awesome! We were greeted by Matthew and one of his friendly dogs Dozer upon our arrival, and he made settling into our spot a breeze. We had just enough time before sunset to walk the mile+ around the property - so beautiful! In the morning we were excited to squeeze in a tour of the Missile Base. Words can’t describe how cool it was! We highly recommend the tour. It was also a lot of fun hearing Matthew’s vision and plans for the future - he’s incredible! Thanks for an amazing stay Matthew!

Never met Cynthia. We followed Chadto our site which was really private and we loved. After reading all the reviews we decided to stay at campsite number 10 Wanda‘s place. Upon arrival there was no wood and all the other reviews said that there was wood cut and left near the firing for them upon arrival. When Chad dropped us off, he said I’m gonna go get you some wood,. We set up camp and went for a nice walk and when we got back, there was still no wood, it was already kind of late in the day when we got there. after an hour or an hour and a half (I cannot remember) of not receiving Wood I sent a message letting them know that we were still waiting on the Wood and within 30 minutes Chad brought it down. however we only got to burn a little bit because as soon as it got dark, we heard coyotes and decided to put everything out and go in the camper. I would’ve loved to have sat there for a few hours while we ate and hung out, but did not get the chance due to the Wood not being there when we arrived.we were on a very tight schedule to get the Colorado for our grandson’s fourth birthday party so we did not have a lot of time. We went on a nice walk, took pictures of our dog with the horses was visited by the donkey the next morning,. enjoyed the peaceful night sleep

Great family campsite. The host is very friendly. We paid extra for firewood and it was at our site when we arrived and better value than buying it at a gas station. The train tracks are within view of many of the sites which is awesome if your kids like trains, but also bring ear plugs for sleeping. We had a peaceful experience and would go again.

The property has numerous sites where you can private pasture your horses, work them in our private round pens, and trail ride them in the hundreds of miles of trails that intersect the property.
