I am proud to be a fourth-generation caretaker of this farm and surrounding acreage. My great-grandfather purchased this land in 1921 and since then, my family has been farming the best way that we knew how. For the last 30 years, that has meant a divergence from traditional farming practices to focus on regenerative farming-- farming that focuses on enriching the health of the soil and the animals instead of depleting it.On our farm, we raise beef, lamb, pigs and chickens and they all live out on pasture. In our farm store we sell meat, eggs, and raw, all-grass dairy products like milk, butter, cheese, kefir, and yogurt. Our customers drive from all parts of central Kansas to shop at Jako Farm because our food is different than food in the grocery store. We call it JakoPure food.Not only do we share our life-giving, gut-restoring food with others, but we want to share the experience of our farm, too. That's why we've started hosting guests on hipcamp so that you can truly experience what's special about our farm. Each location provides a unique perspective on our farm, and you'll engage a different part of our story at each place. The cows and sheep will graze near by while the chickens scratch in the distance. You'll see the farmers moving the animals to new pasture and the llama playing games with the sheep. If you're up at sunrise, you'll see Ken bringing the cows up to the barn for milking (April through November). Its pretty quiet here, except for the subtle noises of wildlife. (Fair warning: if you're in a tent, you will probably hear the milking machine kick on at 6:30am.) We're also proud to be a smell-free farm because all animals live out on pasture. There are killer sunrises and sunsets here. If you're lucky, you'll also see our resident bald eagle pair soaring through the sky.A bathroom with shower is available for your use in the barn nearby.Please be respectful of farm operations, although we're always open to answering questions if you see us around. There was a lot of open space for walking the dogs or tent camping. A cool obstacle area for bike riding. The entire area was clean well laid out. Several areas for camp fires with chairs. The camper area was drive through with Water, Electric & Sewer on wide pull through stalls. We enjoyed the place & would stop again if in the area.

This place was awesome. Very easy to pull in and set up. The paved area might look too "suburban" at first but it is very close to paths to the lake, kayaks and floating stuff as well as courses for bikes (provided) and casual walks!, is also well insulated from the road and traffic noise The area was level and we were within 0.25 inches both side to side and front to back with almost no adjustments!!! There are curbs in each pull thru lane so make sure you have your props/stilts for your drainage lines but it was very easy and very convenient set up. Check in and check out was all electronic booking thru Hipcamper so very easy in and out! The lake is large enough to enjoy kaying/paddling and clean enough to jump in. Easy rock launch pad for the kayak and canoes as well. The bathroom and showers were clean (though we didn't use due to full RV hook up) and easy to access from the camp sites. There is a game room with billiards and other stuff to keep teens occupied. It is a very short trip to town where there was shopping and the weekend we were there, happenings downtown to add to the appeal. Overall this park was incredibly easy, convenient, clean and a real pleasure. We feel fortunate to have discovered this place and hope to return here often. We were RV full hook up but the cabin sites were super cute and looked amazing regarding location to water, spacing between sites for privacy etc. I would full on return in my camper or if looking for a Cabin getaway! Great place!

Everything is charming about staying at BaseCamp. The bathrooms and shower were very clean. Lots of board games to play and pool table in the Bike Barn. We spent our time fishing and doing s'mores over a camp fire. They had plenty of wood for us to burn! We took time to go into town and get some amazing coffee, lunch, and visited the the ice cream place a couple times. Hopefully next time we will make it to the cocktail bar and brewery. We stayed in an RV this time maybe next time we will rent a cabin.

What a beautiful place to stay! Very peaceful. We woke up in the morning and saw a horse with her foal. Our son was so happy. There were fireflies all over at night which made the stay more magical. Our only downside was that we couldn't stay longer. Steve was great to communicate with and took great care of us. We will definitely be back.

I was car-camping but needed electric, so reserved one of the RV sites. Arrived at 11 p.m. under a full moon and the place was simply beautiful. I had been in the 90-degree heat all day, so the cold shower under the stars was just perfect. Peaceful, safe sleep in a wonderful setting. Would definitely recommend to others and will reserve again when I come back this way.

Easy check in. Great location for access to the Flint Hill's Trail. Have stayed twice for Unbound Gravel and have enjoyed the site. Amy and Darius were good to reach out after we were on the wait list and there was an opening for us to get our camper site booked.

This is a great family campground. The shower house and bathrooms were so clean! We had a pretty big group so when the storm came in the bike barn was great! We were able to all hang out and visit while it rained. They have so much for kids to do! I loved the kayaks and paddleboat were included in our stay. The rv/camper area is all pavement. No tracking in dirt and debris. There wasn't any traffic in and out, which was nice for the kids riding their bikes. We will definitely be coming back!
