Savage Acres: Camping on Craig in Virginia

Host Ned Savage says:

We live on 122 acres along Craig Creek, with lots of forest, pasture, and an 1830 log cabin where we live. My grandfather bought the place when he came back from WWII, but it sat empty for many years before my girlfriend and I decided to move here and start our homestead. We have big dreams for the land, but for now, we're working on some basic amenities for campers, and love to share this special place with visitors. The campsite is at the edge of a huge meadow and just a few steps from Craig Creek (you can fall asleep to the sound of a small rapid) and our big swimming hole. Totally secluded in a remote valley - no houses or roads in sight (but our cabin is a short walk through the woods if you need something), no cell service for most providers, and we'll never book more than a single party - but within a short drive of Roanoke and Blacksburg, and countless outdoor recreation opportunities.
